The bts Army are such an incredible community we all are protective of these 7 kings and their songs and lyrics have such a deep meaning especially this song it's basically to the haters.
Mic Drop is the clapback at all the people who bullied them when they were underdogs in the industry over the years. They truly scrapped from the bottom and created a strong kpop presence outside of Asian in a way never seen before. Other groups now have increased exposure because they kicked open the doors. Recommend Run BTS (not to be confused with Run). There's no video, but lyric genius can provide the most accurate translations. They also performed live last year in Busan, with over 50 million live viewers tuning in around the world. If you want, they actually performed Mic Drop live right before they perform Run BTS -- you could watch both :) Also -- Not Today, UGH (no music video), and ON Kinetic Manifesto.
"you have to admit, BTS paved the way" -BangChan. Btw K-pop isn't a genre, it is a whole ass industry. “I’m a little careful to talk about K-pop as a genre because I don’t want to be defining Kpop as a genre, I’m a little bit wary of that but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be ‘integrated content.' K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach K-pop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.” -Suga of BTS He also said "If you listen to our music without prejudice, you'll like it".
70 year old BTS Army here. Welcome to BTS! They are on a different level than any other K-Pop groups. They have become the "gold standard". They debuted in 2013 when most of them were still teenagers. They now have 5 Grammy Nominations starting with their first in 2020. Two from 2022 are with Coldplay. They also have 11 American Music Awards including the Artist of the Year and a record breaking 12 Billboard Awards in addition to 700+ awards globally. Since you're late to the BTS party, saying you have a lot of catching up to do is an understatement! Please react to "On - Kinetic Manifesto Film" " Fire" and their live back to back "Ugh" and Cypher performance at their last concert - "Yet to Come in Busan". Btw, their lyrics are really important to most of their music and it can be quite deep. "Mic Drop" is a clap back to their haters who have been trying to take them down since their 2013 debut. They all have their own solo projects within the group also. Enjoy your trip down the BTS rabbithole. 💜
You are in for a treat. I’m a 61 yo baby army. I knew of BTS since 2017 but did not give them a chance until December of 2021 because I assumed that they would be just like other k-pop groups I tried to listen before, which was very typical and boring. I was so wrong about them once I started to go through their discography and regretted for not giving BTS a chance sooner. Now, I mostly listen to BTS because after being exposed to BTS music, it’s hard to listen to other artists. Their vocal talents, rap skills, dancing skills, producing, writing (and let’s not forget their charisma) are at another level. I finally understood why they are at the top. I’m in it for a long term because they produce great music that actually helps people heal and give hope. They are not just idols; they are true artists.
BTS pulls inspiration from several hiphop/rap legends in the music they write and create. J-hope is particularly into old school 80s style, when record-scratching was ubiquitous. A lot of kpop acts use hiphop as an aesthetic with no understanding of where it hails from, but BTS's rap line have been students of it since they were young, even working with Warren G. RM has several collaborations with several hiphop and rap artists.
BTS are IFPI Global Artists with 5 consecutive years in the Top 10 and 4 years in the Top 2. (2020/21 1# winners) Although originally from the Kpop industry, they have branched far and now stand shoulder to shoulder with the top artists of today. Their discography is huge and varied, filled with tracks that are self written and/or produced. Personally, they are the first "boy" band I've ever been into. And as I am 40 now and a teenager in the 90s, that's a pretty incredible feat 😂 I really hope you enjoy them going forward! If you are in need of help/info, ARMY will always be there to help you both down the rabbit hole. 💜
Glad you discovered BTS. If you want an idea of what their music is like, react to BTS Room Live Festa 2021. If you want to get your socks knocked off by dancing, react to RUN BTS Dance Practice and 'ON'Kinetic Manifesto: Come Prima. If you want to hear some current hits, live, react to, ' Yet to Come ( The Most Beautiful Moment in Life) ' Proof' Live. For all- English songs, react to Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance. Welcome to the BTS Rabbit Hole. 💜
RM shouts out to ARMY by saying "once upon a time, we learned how to fly'. They have consistently said ARMY gave them wings to fly above all the hate. And the "Baby watch your mouth, it comes back around" you have NO idea how much they manifested that this week as the company they built is acquiring one of the Big 3 companies who hurt them in the early days. 😏
If you like the heavier stuff I would highly recommend No More Dream, Run BTS, Not Today, On kenetic manifesto film, Black Swan ( slower but deadly), and some of their solo stuff RM'S Joke, Persona and Do You. Agust D's Agust D and Daechwita. They have music for every feeling and emotion. Can't wait for more!!!! You guys are one of my favorite channels. I am Army forever but can say there are so many amazing groups that I listen to daily.
Thank you for reacting to bts! They’re the biggest group in the world for a reason. I don’t blame you for having preconceived notions about bts and kpop in general because that’s basically what we’re taught to be like until we actually experience it. Although I would point out that while bts are kpop to a certain point, they’ve also outgrown it to the point where they’re pretty much bigger than the whole industry combined. They also started out as a hip hop group and have a very different come up compared to most other Korean groups. They were pretty much treated like dirt for their first few years but hey look at them now. Literally any of the recommendations in the comments would be great, they don’t have a single bad song and army are great at tailoring suggestions to the reactor. I would definitely recommend checking out their live performances at some point because no one comes close to them in that regard 💜
There are a few different versions of this. They did the MV to the Remix, but the original song is all in Korean; they changed the chorus to English for the Remix. There is also a version with the rapper Designer. They have performed this live at multiple award shows and TV shows and they've done it with 1, 2, and 3 dance breaks. As AMAZING as their studio versions and MVs are, NOTHING BEATS their live stages. They thrive on stage and their performances just reach another level. They just recently opened their concert "Yet To Come in Busan" this past October with MIC Drop and followed immediately with their premiere performance of "Run BTS".
BTS is bigger than Kpop, as a dedicated ARMY I don’t listen to any other grps and a lot of ARMY are the same..you cannot compare them to anyone else. BTS paved the way.
Mic Drop came out in 2017 before Stray Kids debuted in 2018. BTS debuted in 2013 and have been an inspiration/influence to the newer generation groups/artists till this day.
You'll appreciate BTS so much more if you watch Taylor's Guide to the Members....each of them are truly incredible and could stand alone in their accomplishments, but as a whole...can't be beat...that's why they're at the top of their game. I am a 65 year old ARMY and while these young men are extremely talented...I am here for the message...they are genius songwriters whose deep message can sometimes only be understood when explained by a Korean on DKDKTV. If there's an explanation for a BTS song, I suggest doing them back to back with the MV....you'll be amazed. ARMY grandma, subscribed
Thanks for reacting to BTS ! I think they will surprise you on many levels as this is about 15% of what they do. :) BTS has, no lie, the wildest range of music any artist have and hundreds of songs. That means, no matter what your genre is, you'll find songs you like and some you'll enjoy less. Anyways, as much as medias like to put groups in a box, BTS is no typical "boyband" and even in the Kpop industry, they're totally different. They're pionniers in some way and to these days, I haven't seen any artist that big being so normal out of stage. But most of all, they've been working very hard for a decade, literally starting from scratch in a company that was on the verge on bankruptcy only to have made this company one of the biggest economic sources in South Korea nowadays. There are 3 rappers and 4 singers. And on top of being amazing rappers, singers and dancers ; BTS members write, produce, take part in the artistic concepts, music videos, dance choreographies, ideas... Everything basically, in collaboration with their company staff and artists. They're really on a line of their own and I think you'll see that for yourself when you react to more. That being said, you're really perceptive on many levels, can't wait to see more of your reactions :) Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS. They'll put you on many informations about the group, the members, how they work and everything basically. Because above learning about their group history, these guides make you understand their music a lot more in some way. That was my case when I first became a fan (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). I guess learning about the background of each member, their background as a group and the way they work for their craft, makes you understand the music (and the artistry) in a much more complete way. The most complete (and amazingly made) guide is : "A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7" (by Taylor). Hope you'll react to it ! In any case, enjoy the journey !!
BTS have been a group for over 10 years and have over 300 songs covering various genres and subject matter so good luck. I don't know if you are aware but BTS currently aren't making group music right now and are focusing on their solo activities. One of the reasons for this is because military service is mandatory for all able bodied men in South Korea for a minimum of 18 months and the oldest member of BTS Jin enlisted in December 2022. The other 6 members will enlist after their own personal solo schedules and they plan to reunite in 2025 after their service is completed. Here are some of their accomplishments- just a few not all of them 2nd best selling music artist in the world in 2022, (they were number 1 for 2020 and 2021) Most streamed group on Spotify 9th most streamed music artist on Spotify overall 5 Grammy nominations 11 American Music Awards including Artist of the Year in 2021 12 Billboard Music Awards 10 MTV Video Music Awards Won Artist of the Year 7 years in a row on the MAMA's (Mnet Asian Music Awards) 6 number 1 albums in the US on the billboard 200 chart 6 number 1 songs in the US on the billboard hot 100 chart The best selling album in South Korea of all time- Map of the Soul: 7 (2020) The most viewed music video on youtube in 24 hours- Butter with 108.2 million views Time magazine's Entertainer of the Year in 2020
It's really not a surprise when you hear some similar or influenced sounds in BTS's music simply because these boys grew up on hiphop and are legit fans to the OGs. so.. yeah
Mic Drop is BTS response to their haters with little flexing on the side...spitting facts lol...with Suga's epic lines "tasteless ratatouille" and "sue it." I recommend you check the recent live performance of Mic Drop from their Yet To Come Busan concert last October. This was their opening act. It was attended by over 70k live audience and was livestreamed by more than 50M worldwide causing the apps to crash from time to time but all so worth it.
Thanks for the reaction guys! If you guys decide to fall into this rabbit hole we lovingly call BTS you'll are not going to be disappointed! They have, together and individually each member, a big selection of different genre of music. Remember Kpop is not a music genre , it rather involve a multitude of aspects like the clothes, the makeup, the dancing, the societal expectation( like not being involve in any scandals, always having a "perfect weight ",not having any kind of romantic relationship) and so many more. Another thing I would like to say is that BTS is an amazing group, but they are even better performers, so any live performances you can react to would be even better. ARMY is not crazy, we just have 0 to none tolerance for people who talk sh>/ without even taking the time to know BTS music, members or what they stand for. We only expect a respectful reaction, whether you like their music or not, and if for some reason you can't find a song you like, that is OK too.We are an eclectic group of people who gain different things from BTS. We can be a few months old , ninety or anything in between. (I'm a 44 years old mom, in my case there is nothing big, I wasn't depressed or unhappy or anything, it just was a happy coincidence that a RUN BTS was suggested to me and just fell in love with the members and after a few weeks/ months later UA-cam started to recommend music to me and I kept on ignoring it until something on the thumbnail made me pay closer attention and that's how I watched my first BTS music video Fire "Bultaoreune ") for others BTS is a source of light in their constant struggle with different types of mental or physical illnesses. As soon as you guys start watching their video and paying attention to the lyrics you'll going to understand and realize that BTS is not just a kpop group. Borahae! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🤟🇲🇽
Yeah I heard someone said dope at some point, which is another song you guys should check out for sure since it's the first song that got people notice them outside of Asia imo.
Thanks for checking out BTS! BTS is very versatile and their discography is so vast that in order to understand and appreciate their music, you have to listen to more than just a couple of them. Their genre is so diverse that BTS is considered as a genre by the music industry. They have transcended what is normally called K-Pop and has become an entity of their own. Hope you keep checking out more and you'll understand what makes them different from all others and find some songs that would resonate with you. Look forward to more BTS.
Outro: tear live performance is what got me hooked on them. I had no idea they did that stuff and I was immediately wondering what else I was missing out on😆
Thanks for ignoring the comments about them just being a boy band and giving them a chance, you're not going to regret it, believe me :D Bts has such a wide range of genres so if you want to have an idea of what other kinds of songs they've got i recommend that you watch 'Room FESTA Live 2021' it's a little medley of some of their b-sides, it's about 10 mins long and i think you would enjoy it☺️
Mic Drop!!! This is a great song to start with. I recommend you check out the live performance of Run BTS Live in Busan, the live version of Outro: Tear, DDeng, Idol, Born Singer.
Watch the Mic Drop Dance Practice to see the whole dance with backup dancers. Amazing! Everybody tunnels into the rabbit holes in a different way. Do you like rap, dance, vocals, storylines? So many ways to enter the BangTan Universe.
Oh yes finally. 💜💜Please react to A guide to BTS members by Taylor (is an introduction video) BTS is a genre itself they have pop, hip-hop, R&B, latin pop, and more. I also recommend reacting to their live performances maybe start with RUN BTS yet to come in Busan (is a recent one). They also produce and write their songs like Stray Kids. Borahae!! 💜
BTS are composers, producers, writers, choreographers and the youngest has even directed a music video. They have a hand in all the music they put out💜💜💜
BTS is more than just a boyband. They are artists, musicians to be exact. They produce and write their own music too. As what Yoongi ( a member of BTS ) has said : "You'll love our music if you listen to it without prejudice." Hoping to see more of your BTS reactions. Keep it up 💜
Thanks for your reaction, hope you continue. Can I just say, you have NO idea what you're in for if you do! They're not the biggest in the world for nothin' and the fandom majority is from 20-80's and I'm 54. So welcome to the best experience of your life, I really hope you continue, especially if you love great music. As one rapper reacting to BTS said, they are real MC's - no idea what he meant by that, but he was really impressed! The 3 rappers: RM (formerly known as Rap Monster, now Real Me or just RM, IQ 148) is one of the main writers with Suga and J-Hope. We call him the God of Destruction as he doesn't know his strength and good at breaking things! But a gentle genius Suga (as in shugah, comes from Shooting Guard, his favourite position to play in basketball) - don't mess with him, he's street smart and vicious when rapping. Both were underground rappers (that's a whole other story there!) and J-Hope or Hobi learnt when he joined. He was a street dancer who won Nat Competitions. The sunshine of the group, the one who makes you laugh. 4 vocalists: Jin (the oldest, now doing his military service) and the goofy one, loves making people laugh. Called World Wide Handsome as he went viral on many occasions for his looks. Makes a joke of it Jimin (contemporary dancer) - has a high unique but powerful voice and an awesome dancer V (considered the most handsome man in the world - voting pols) and the one with the facial expressions on stage Jungkook (the youngest) and insanely talented naturally. Main vocalist so you usually see him at the centre although they swap around. He's just good at everything (painting, boxing, drawing etc besides the dancing and singing). They are really sincere, genuine, humble artists who write their own songs based on their personal life experience and NOT on sappy love songs. They have group songs and solo's. They do everything as authentically as can be done (their MV's esp) and hardly auto-tune. Their live vocals are even better than recorded! Their music label Big Hit's (now Hybe) mission statement is 'Music & Artist for Healing' and they mean it. They have a genuine love for A.R.M.Y. and vice versa (never before seen, esp in K-POP), a relationship that has led to a lot of jealousy and misunderstandings, calling the fandom 'crazy' or 'teenage girls' alluding to brainless idiots. (Bit like football/soccer fans then!! just kidding). Don't make the mistake of pigeon holing them in any way, they are very diverse and amazing performers but in real life can be real chaotic and funny. Their history, which has been a hard road for them, made them into a genuine brotherhood and they really love and care for each other. Nothing hinky, just real brothers who have been through hell together and made it, through their determination and damn hard work. It's a real tale of the underdog making it big. The ultimate rags to riches story with a lot of battles against prejudice/hatred etc and not being taken seriously just because they speak a different language. It's their personalities that make you fall in love with them, and of course the rest is the icing on the cake! Plus, they're NOT BORING! Some links and info to help: Lyric translations can be found at Doolsetbangtan: doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/ A great site for good quality lives with Eng subs (no copyright issues): Enjoy BTS More: ua-cam.com/users/EnjoyBTSmorevideos Also for an explanation of their MV's DKDKTV & Bookish Theory are good sources. We lose a lot in not being able to understand Korean culture, and these do a great job of explaining the real message behind the lyrics which are always deep. So worth doing an explanation video to their songs automatically alongside the MV. They also have various versions of their MV's, from the official MV to remixes (B-sides done for Army) and live performances. Dance videos for their choreography can be found at Bangtantv (their own channel) and behind the scenes videos. Just depends how far you want to go, there is a lot. The MV's have a storyline attached but that is better saved for a time when you know the members more. To avoid any copyright strikes just show the Big Hit/Hybe logo at the beginning of all their MV's. NOTE: THE WORD NEGAE MEANS YOU/ME/I - not the word you think! Some misunderstand so best to get this out the way! Also Koreans or Asians in general are not afraid to show their emotions, so crying/hugging/being close is a cultural thing, which to Western eyes can seem a bit touchy feely or give wrong connotations. Songs: TAKE NOTHING AT FACE VALUE! Not sure what you'd like but as they have 300 + songs from all different genres. I’m sure Army will give you more to react to! Recommend: DAENG Live: ua-cam.com/video/JuZwvYDQ92E/v-deo.html - Prom party (no Eng subs) DAENG Lyric video: ua-cam.com/video/LbSU1_SG91w/v-deo.html DAENG explanation video DKDKTV: ua-cam.com/video/fdJl1SL03Ac/v-deo.html Hip Hop Lovers live: ua-cam.com/video/a_3KCRAYAFQ/v-deo.html (English subs) Enjoy! Am sub'ing to follow your journey, more Army will come the more you react to them..
Oooof you think that’s high energy go watch a live next 😂 their studio versions are obviously immaculate, their MVs always super creative (and mostly practical effects over special - that car explosion was legit not cgi) but one thing BTS does probably better than ANY group or band going today is the Level of production, energy and effort they put into their live performances and our boys? No lip syncing to be found. They’re just as immaculate live as the studio releases, sometimes better! Yeah - go check a live, you’ll thank me 😅also there’s no need to defend your previous thoughts on BTS. I wasn’t a hater but I didn’t want to jump on the hype train. Eventually I did get curious enough to find out HOW they got a worldwide McDonald’s meal (I’m Australian and it even made it down under) it wasn’t even their music that got me - our dudes just actually be 7 wonderful dorks brimming with crackhead energy. Now after knowing them for a year, I’ll never leave💜you’ll find quite a few ARMY that had those opinions before giving them a chance and that’s what matters, that you gave them a chance :) have a great day fellas!😊
Thanks for giving BTS a chance, please check out more BTS songs, looking forward to your next BTS reactions! Do take note of their lyrics and also watch their dance practices and live performances, enjoyyyyy! Thank you!
Not sure if anyone has mentioned to you KPop is not a genre it’s an industry. There are the same genre in Korea as there are in the US. Rap, R&B, Rock, Metal, etc. BTS is a group that embraces all genres and even blend them. Their lyrics have deep meanings. If you like the energy of Mic Drop listen to Fire, Danger, Dope, No More Dreams (their debut song) We are Bulletproof Pt2, Cyphers 1 thru 4, there are too many to list. BTS started as a Hip Hop group but has evolved over the years. They love all types of music and it shows. Thanks for giving them a chance. Mic Drop found me in 2017 and sent me down their rabbit hole. I hope you enjoy the ride. 💜🇺🇸
Thanks for checking out BTS. They have a vast and very diverse catalogue. In fact, people now say BTS is their own genre because they are so good at so many different genres and fusion. I am not sure what kind of music you all like but I am sure that there are songs from BTS that will fit your preferences. If you decide to do more than surface level listening ARMY can recommend you an almost endless list of lyrical topics and sounds to react to. Thanks again.
I discovered BTS by accident and curiosity got me to listen to more, Captions on, from there I was lost. They are fantastic musicians, they can sing, rap & dance, they often write their own lyrics and are often involved in the production. Their lyrics, often focus on personal and social commentary, touch on the themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth and coming of age, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism. Their work also often references literature and psychological concepts and includes an alternative universe storyline. "BTS," actually stands for the words, "Bangtan Sonyeondan," which translates to mean "Bulletproof Boy Scouts." 'Bangtan’ means to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets, to preserve the values and ideal of today’s adolescents," They started out as a HipHop group in 2013, (they have 3 rappers, 2 of which were from the Korean underground rap scene & 4 Vocalists) but actually cover so many genres of music in addition to HipHop, invluding Pop, EDM, Rap, RnB, Rock, Urban, Trap, Ballads... they say not everyone will like all BTS songs, but there is a BTS song for everyone. For anyone willing to find out more I recommend taking a look at what they have to offer and suggest the following: Dope Fire Danger DNA Idol Blood Sweat and Tears On Kinetic Manifesto prima Black Swan Fake Love Not Today Save Me Truth Untold Spring Day (which has spent 5 consecutive years in Goan's Digital Chart's) Your Eyes Tell The Cyphers if you like rap Then solo works: Jungkook - Euphoria, My Time V - Singularity, Stigma (live version), Sweet Night (the first and only song in history to top 119 countries on the worldwide iTunes chart) Suga's alter ego Agust D - Daewitcha, Agust D, The Last RM - Persona, Joke J-Hope - Boy Meets Evil, More, Arson Jin - Epiphany, Abyss Jimin - Serendipity, Filter
It's true about them not having an empty seat at their concerts they sell out so fast. Basically people have Said it's like the hunger games when trying to get concert tickets.
There are a lot of BTS songs that may seem catchy and danceable but when you get to know the explanation of those songs you will be amazed by their talents and creativity. Their songs are of different genres and the messages behind their songs is something that we all can relate to. Once you check those songs its a must you check also the explanation. Most of their songs are translated or interpreted by DKDKTV channel. Pls check these songs too. Bapsae dance practice video Spine Breaker NO Ugh (if you love rap you need to check this) Ddaeng Black Swan Blood Sweat & Tears Spring Day MV (its a must to watch the explanation of MV by Bulletproof channel or Italian Army)
The seven members are all songwriters, producers and composers. Although they have in-house producers, they are actively involved in writing, composing and producing their songs from their debut album in 2013 to their solo stuff until now. Their music genres include Pop, Hip Hop, Latin Pop, EDM, R&B, Ballad. Name it, they have it. If you like their MV, get ready to be blown away by their live performances. This usually comes up when someone new jumps down the BTS rabbit hole... BTS stands for the Korean phrase Bangtan Sonyeondan which translates literally to "Bulletproof Boy Scouts". As explained by J-Hope, the name signifies the group's desire "to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets". That is the BTS philosophy behind all their body of work and achievements, including not just their music. Their "Love Yourself" campaign even brought them to their 1st of their 2 United Nations's invitations to speak ....
This reaction took me back to when I discovered BTS. Mic Drop was also my first music video of BTS and i was floored by how great it is. I'm looking forward to more BTS reactions! Also, if you want a quick run through their different musical styles - a great choice is to watch their BTS Room Live 2021 FESTA performance. Highly recommended!
I think that's not a lot that Steve's remix added to this song, originally Mic Drop had a lot of sounds and heavy beat. I love both versions but I think that original version is even richer on the sounds.
That was great! Thanks for your reaction. Hope you check out more. BTS’ songs cover lots of different genres - including pop, which is what people unfamiliar with the group tend to associate them with. I suggest you check out a live performance of Dionysus.
The double sided glass that had you shook, lol. So they are identical rooms with a glass window between them. They had JK dance in both of them (shooting him from the back in the other room) and then spliced them together to make it look like he was in front of a mirror.
BTS & ARMY are really misunderstood by the general public. BTS are chameleons; they transcend every genre, & their discography is so massive, it has something for everyone. ARMYs come from every background & every age group. From toddlers to grandmas, doctors & lawyers, teachers & students, their largest demographic is the 20-40 year old age group. Myself, I'm 62 & have so much love, respect & admiration for them. Their work ethic, musical ability & raw talent is unmatched. There will NEVER be another BTS, just like there will never be another Beatles. Their music & message has given me a new perspective on life & has taught me how important it is to enjoy every minute. Thanks guys! 👍💜☺️
I know what y mean...i will turn 32 this year...i never really listened to boy groups ..i am MJ and Queen fan...but this boys (men) are smth else...u put on BTS play list and y get every genre of music...Love our OT7
Let's go to "ON(Kinetic manifesto film)" ! You will love it. They are the biggest band in the world now for a reason : ) If you had no prejudice, you would meet the whole different level. Thank you for giving a chance to BTS and your open mind : )
welcome to the bangtan universe.thank you for your wonderful reaction. i highly rec9mended ON kinetic mnifesto and Black swan..new subs here. borahae💜💜
Hello, BTS is very versityle. They have so many different genres. At the moment Jin is doing his mandatory military service in Korea. So at the moment each member is doing solo project. Their solo's are also on another level. So are their collaborations. BTS is K-pop and also not K-pop. They are not in that box anymore. Happy to hear you are looking and reacting to Korean Musicians. After many years of hard work BTS opened the doors for more Korean musicians around the world.
BTS are my ultimate Kpop group! They are so diverse with what they do and always give 110% and their choreography is next level with no lip syncing. If you like harder songs I recommend some of just the rap line songs like DDAENG!, UGH, Cypher pt 3:killer (the only correct order for the cypher series is 3, 4, 2, 1 which most people would agree with) For group songs I’d go Fire, Run BTS, Silver Spoon (Baepsae) Fake Love, Pied Piper, Run, Spinebreaker, Idol For vocal line I’d recommend House of Cards, Truth Untold, Bad Decisions (Benny Blanco, BTS vocal line and Snoop Dogg) For solo projects definitely check out Daechwita (Suga/Agust D), Intro:Nevermind (Suga), Agust D (Agust D) More (Jhope), Epiphany (Jin) The Astronaut (Jin), Filter (Jimin), Vibe (Taeyang feat Jimin), wildflower (RM) Joke (RM), Stigma (V), Stay alive (Jungkook)
Very nice reaction! If you liked Mic Drop, you are in for a treat! There are a lot more songs to check out, such as: Blood Sweat & Tears, Dope, Black Swan, Dynamite, Fake Love, DNA, Danger, Boy in Luv, Fire, Butter, Permission to Dance, Boy with Luv (ft. Halsey), My Universe (w/Coldplay), Idol, War of Hormone, and Anpanman. You should also see the BTS NPR Tiny Desk Concert, the Baepsae (Silver Spoon) dance practice, and the Run BTS dance practice. Just about every official music video has a related dance practice video. The dance practice videos are AMAZING! Hope you enjoy these suggestions. Welcome to the BTS ARMY! 💜
Hi guys! Thanks so much for your reaction. This is my first time watching your channel and I enjoyed it. Just a FYI, K-pop is an industry and not a genre. BTS is a multi genre group that consists of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. I’m 62 years old grew up loving rock n roll, classic rock, pop, soul but I just couldn’t get into rap and hip hop. Through BTS I’ve learned to appreciate rap and hip hop. Frankly I love all their songs which is in hundreds. Their B side songs are incredible. I hope that you will react more of BTS songs and I suggest you try some of their live performances. Thank you 💜.
Thank you for the reaction....BTS has a huge discography. Would recommend few MVs Dope, Fire, FakeLove, Blackswan, DNA, Blood Sweat n Tears, Idol, Save Me. Rap line has some amazing songs as a group n individually. 💜
Kpop is not a genre. It is said that Kpop is an industry because how kpop is made but to me Kpop is a package of entertainment that consist of music/song, choreography/dance, and style/appearance. BTS has a lot of songs in different genre, so you might like some songs that are your cup of tea but you might not like some songs that are not your cup of tea. But give BTS a chance and explore them because BTS is more then just music (BTS is more then just a kpop). A lot of their music have deep lyrics that we all can relate. Some lyrics are poetic, some are raw, some contain hidden or double/triple meaning, a lot of easter eggs on their MV, etc. If you want to get a snippet of few songs from BTS, you can check out BTS room live 2021 My recommendation will be: - Outro: Tear live performance (eng sub) - Danger - Not Today - A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari (To get to know BTS) Thank you for giving BTS a chance. I hope you will continue to do reaction to BTS 💜 I subscribe for BTS
I remember being into bts back in 2015 before they had really spear headed modern kpop in the west, then when this song came out, I think it might have been what really put them on the map at least here in America to a wider audience then just old school kpop fans ❤️🔥 also Steve aoki is a beast as always 🎉
I think you would enjoy a medley of BTS. You know KPOP is not necesarily a genre, it's more of an industry. SUGA of BTS said, "K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach K-pop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.” I think what Suga says is correct, because you can put their songs in so many different genre's, and to just lump it into KPOP because they are Korean, and have a passionate fanbase, doesn't serve them well. BTS has transcended the KPOP label. At this point they are just Artists that love music, so they are Music and Performance ARTISTS, that love to create music and perform. They really do cover so many different genre's, and they have over 300 plus songs and counting. All seven members are in the process of doing their solo projects right now before they have to enlist for their mandatory military service. They/and their agency have reported that they will be coming back as a full group in 2025. So Far, J-Hope, Jin, and RM have released solo albums, and Jimin is next on March 24th. Then SUGA just announced a world tour starting at the end of April, so he will surely release his album in April. That just leaves 2 members - V and Jungkook. So they are busy, and keeping ARMY's (BTS fanbase is ARMY) busy.. Here are a couple videos that will help you to get to know BTS's talents, diverse discography, and their fanbase. Please use the link to the BTS Room Live for accurate and complete subtitles. I recommend Born Singer by BTS. It’s the BTS adaptation of J. Cole’s Born Sinner they wrote in 2013 but J.Cole gave them permission to release it officially in 2022 for their anniversary
RAPPERS in BTS playlist. The group has 3 rappers (RM, J-hope, & SUGA {aka Agust D} While some have MV'S, some are even better live (be sure to find ones that have subtitles cc's) RM : 1 - Change ft. The bts Army are such an incredible community we all are protective of these 7 kings and their songs and lyrics have such a deep meaning especially this song it's basically to the haters.
G DRAGON KING
@himari riku idk about that honestly
Mic Drop is the clapback at all the people who bullied them when they were underdogs in the industry over the years. They truly scrapped from the bottom and created a strong kpop presence outside of Asian in a way never seen before. Other groups now have increased exposure because they kicked open the doors.
Recommend Run BTS (not to be confused with Run). There's no video, but lyric genius can provide the most accurate translations. They also performed live last year in Busan, with over 50 million live viewers tuning in around the world. If you want, they actually performed Mic Drop live right before they perform Run BTS -- you could watch both :)
Also -- Not Today, UGH (no music video), and ON Kinetic Manifesto.
Yes, yes and yes to all of this!
Outer tear is another one to check out.
UGH needs to be watched with DKDKTV and their explained by a Korean vid after.
The Run BTS dance practice has been uploaded by Enjoy BTS More with English subs for the lyrics. I recommend that over lyric videos.
100% agree 💜
This saying: calling Bts a boy band is like calling a computer a typewriter. Tks! They will have more that you like! 💜
Lol yes
I love this! I'm going to use it if you don't mind!
@@gretcheningram2136 Please do! I didn’t think of it and I keep hoping someone will let me know they said so I can give them props!
"you have to admit, BTS paved the way" -BangChan. Btw K-pop isn't a genre, it is a whole ass industry.
“I’m a little careful to talk about K-pop as a genre because I don’t want to be defining Kpop as a genre, I’m a little bit wary of that but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be ‘integrated content.' K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach K-pop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.” -Suga of BTS
He also said "If you listen to our music without prejudice, you'll like it".
I think you guys gonna like “dope” and “fire” from BTS ❤️ I love the reaction

900+awards now
@@DancingRain_1997 someone else said that but nobody has shown the list, so I am sticking with what I heard from knowledgeable people.
@@alicesworld1 I think it's 800+ now from reliable sources
Right bts are musicians and real artist
The fact that their lyric where they say they can't even count how many awards they have is soo true cause they literally have 800-900+ awards now

BTS are IFPI Global Artists with 5 consecutive years in the Top 10 and 4 years in the Top 2. (2020/21 1# winners)
Although originally from the Kpop industry, they have branched far and now stand shoulder to shoulder with the top artists of today.
So true 😏

Truly ,any of the rap cipher's you will enjoy
Bts have so many incredible songs I love them so much. Yall gotta see more videos especially thier son ON kinetic manifesto film.
Yes many got influenced by them
You'll appreciate BTS so much more if you watch Taylor's Guide to the Members....each of them are truly incredible and could stand alone in their accomplishments, but as a whole...can't be beat...that's why they're at the top of their game.

BTS has, no lie, the wildest range of music any artist have and hundreds of songs. That being said, you're really perceptive on many levels, can't wait to see more of your reactions :)
Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS.
Here are some of their accomplishments- just a few not all of them
2nd best selling music artist in the world in 2022, (they were number 1 for 2020 and 2021)
Most streamed group on Spotify
9th most streamed music artist on Spotify overall
5 Grammy nominations
11 American Music Awards including Artist of the Year in 2021
12 Billboard Music Awards
10 MTV Video Music Awards
Won Artist of the Year 7 years in a row on the MAMA's (Mnet Asian Music Awards)
6 number 1 albums in the US on the billboard 200 chart
6 number 1 songs in the US on the billboard hot 100 chart
The best selling album in South Korea of all time- Map of the Soul: 7 (2020)
The most viewed music video on youtube in 24 hours- Butter with 108.2 million views
Time magazine's Entertainer of the Year in 2020
It's really not a surprise when you hear some similar or influenced sounds in BTS's music simply because these boys grew up on hiphop and are legit fans to the OGs. so.. yeah
Mic Drop is BTS response to their haters with little flexing on the side...spitting facts lol...with Suga's epic lines "tasteless ratatouille" and "sue it."
I recommend you check the recent live performance of Mic Drop from their Yet To Come Busan concert last October.

Is this your first bts reaction? You should definitely see more of their stuff, they're the most talented guys I've ever seen
BTS are composers, producers, writers, choreographers and the youngest has even directed a music video. They have a hand in all the music they put out💜💜💜
BTS is more than just a boyband. They are artists, musicians to be exact. They produce and write their own music too.
As what Yoongi ( a member of BTS ) has said :
"You'll love our music if you listen to it without prejudice."
Hoping to see more of your BTS reactions.
The 3 rappers:
RM (formerly known as Rap Monster, now Real Me or just RM, IQ 148) is one of the main writers with Suga and J-Hope. We call him the God of Destruction as he doesn't know his strength and good at breaking things! But a gentle genius Suga (as in shugah, comes from Shooting Guard, his favourite position to play in basketball) - don't mess with him, he's street smart and vicious when rapping.
Both were underground rappers (that's a whole other story there!) and
J-Hope or Hobi learnt when he joined. He was a street dancer who won Nat Competitions. The sunshine of the group, the one who makes you laugh.
4 vocalists:
Jin (the oldest, now doing his military service) and the goofy one, loves making people laugh. Called World Wide Handsome as he went viral on many occasions for his looks. Makes a joke of it
Jimin (contemporary dancer) - has a high unique but powerful voice and an awesome dancer
V (considered the most handsome man in the world - voting pols) and the one with the facial expressions on stage
Jungkook (the youngest) and insanely talented naturally.

Also for an explanation of their MV's DKDKTV & Bookish Theory are good sources.

💜🇺🇸
Thank you!!
"BTS," actually stands for the words, "Bangtan Sonyeondan," which translates to mean "Bulletproof Boy Scouts." 'Bangtan’ means to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets, to preserve the values and ideal of today’s adolescents,"
They started out as a HipHop group in 2013, (they have 3 rappers, 2 of which were from the Korean underground rap scene & 4 Vocalists) but actually cover so many genres of music in addition to HipHop, invluding Pop, EDM, Rap, RnB, Rock, Urban, Trap, Ballads... they say not everyone will like all BTS songs, but there is a BTS song for everyone.

all bts songs are amazing with various genres... start again with "black swan, On kinetic manifesto, the truth untold, airplane pt.2, etc"
MMA 2019 BTS is incredible
K Pop is really an industry and not a genre....BTS do lots of genres, they're fabulous! Enjoyed your reaction 💜
Bts outgrow kpop...i am a fan of BTS and not of other kpop acts (Just not for me)...enoy the ride
I know what y mean...i will turn 32 this year...i never really listened to boy groups ..i am MJ and Queen fan...but this boys (men) are smth else...u put on BTS play list and y get every genre of music...Love our OT7
@@tinaorazem7813 Wow, you have the same taste I do. I love BTS, Michael Jackson, and Queen too.

@@tinaorazem7813 I love mj and queen too ed sheeran too
Kpop isn’t a genre it’s literally just music in Korea, Kpop is more like an industry 😅
Let's go to "ON(Kinetic manifesto film)" ! You will love it. They are the biggest band in the world now for a reason : ) If you had no prejudice, you would meet the whole different level. Thank you for giving a chance to BTS and your open mind : )
True. They have always been prejudged with boy band prejudice, racial prejudice and in their own country, small agency prejudice.
OMGGGG thanks for reacting to BTs. They r legends, hoping for more bts reactions in the future
welcome to the bangtan universe.thank you for your wonderful reaction.
i highly rec9mended ON kinetic mnifesto and Black swan..new subs here.

BTS Room Live Festa 2021
Hello,
BTS is very versityle.
THE BIGGEST GROUP IN THE WORLD IS BTS,
We love BTS's reaction. Thanks for the reaction. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
BTS are my ultimate Kpop group! They are so diverse with what they do and always give 110% and their choreography is next level with no lip syncing.
If you like harder songs I recommend some of just the rap line songs like DDAENG!, UGH, Cypher pt 3:killer (the only correct order for the cypher series is 3, 4, 2, 1 which most people would agree with)
For group songs I’d go Fire, Run BTS, Silver Spoon (Baepsae) Fake Love, Pied Piper, Run, Spinebreaker, Idol
For vocal line I’d recommend House of Cards, Truth Untold, Bad Decisions (Benny Blanco, BTS vocal line and Snoop Dogg)
For solo projects definitely check out Daechwita (Suga/Agust D), Intro:Nevermind (Suga), Agust D (Agust D) More (Jhope), Epiphany (Jin) The Astronaut (Jin), Filter (Jimin), Vibe (Taeyang feat Jimin), wildflower (RM) Joke (RM), Stigma (V), Stay alive (Jungkook)
Nice reactions guys ! Please react to more of BTS. React to BTS "Fake love"
If you wanna hear more BTS songs, let me introduce you to:
- DOPE MV, continue to
- FIRE MV
- more hyped, NOT TODAY MV
If you want to get a snippet of few songs from BTS, you can check out BTS room live 2021
My recommendation will be:
- Outro: Tear live performance (eng sub)
- Danger
- Not Today
- A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari (To get to know BTS)
Thank you for giving BTS a chance. I hope you will continue to do reaction to BTS 💜

Halloooo there, a Army from 🇸🇷💜, thank u for reacting to our Amazing Bangtan boys....already click the sub bottom.
I remember being into bts back in 2015 before they had really spear headed modern kpop in the west, then when this song came out, I think it might have been what really put them on the map at least here in America to a wider audience then just old school kpop fans ❤️🔥 also Steve aoki is a beast as always 🎉
My number 1 group. Army since 2019... Welcome
Please react to A guide to BTS members by Taylor (is an introduction video)
Check Run BTS live from Busan
more bts reaction, we would love it!
thanks for watching this!! 💜
You're so welcome! ✊
BTS is the King of Kpop. Checkout their ON Kinetic Manifesto. They even won Artist of the year at American Music Awards last 2022
I think you would enjoy a medley of BTS. You know KPOP is not necesarily a genre, it's more of an industry. SUGA of BTS said, "K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach K-pop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.”
I think what Suga says is correct, because you can put their songs in so many different genre's, and to just lump it into KPOP because they are Korean, and have a passionate fanbase, doesn't serve them well.
