Imagine MiHoYo actually did this kinda things. I mean, I'm not very keen on economics, but I think that skins and MV's like this would give them actual money. Genshin's backgrounds are legit awesome, I bet they could make a cool song and clip too.
Oh I 100% agree with you, if miHoYo decided to do the same thing that Riot did with K/DA or even Pentakill they'd make massive amounts of money. And they already have two in-universe musical artists on their roster, it'd be so easy.

My theory (with some canon topics): in the trailer it could be seen that Lumine did witness the destruction khaenriah, and most likely her brother was there also. After its destruction, they decided to leave Teyvat when they were blocked by the unknown god, which took his sister and left aether in Teyvat(I would assume that the scene where we choose our twin to play with happened in Celestia, comparing the background to the loading screen of the game). Im guessing Lumine woke up before Aether, traverse Teyvat and found out the dark truth of Teyvat, its nations and what happened to Khaenriah and decided to join the abyss. Aether woke up after her in a different place with no recollection of what happened before he met the unknown god (im guessing Lumine also woke up with no memories). So my theory is that they have been trapped in Teyvat for nearly 500 years and for most of it (referring to the fact that Aether, at the beginning of the game, said it vould have been years since it happened), Aether spent asleep until he woke up two months ago when he saved paimon.

Ahri, Kai'Sa, Akali, Evelynn and Seraphine are champions created by Riot and have their own stories in the universe of league. League has a lot of different universes and in the modern universe they are the band called KD/A. Seraphine isn't from KD/A she's a solo artist and a big fan of KD/A. And she got the chance to perform with them together in their song MORE of the album K/DA All Out. The modern storyline has nothing to do with the original storyline of League but is also a part of Riot Games.
