I was raised with the novus ordo. I love the Lord, I love the church, but something always felt off to me attenting novus ordo churches and masses. I left the church for some years and God led me not only back to the church but the traditional church. It feels like a veil has been lifted off of my eyes and I see the true church for the first time.
Thank you again Fr. Jenkins and Tom! Another wonderful episode and teaching for all of us who long for God. May God bless you both and your video team as well!
My uncle and Godfather received Last Rites from an elderly Eastern Rite (not Orthodox) Catholic priest because my aunt could not find any Roman Rite priest to come to him. My aunt called numerous parishes and the diocese, only to be turned down. One parish secretary told her to bring him to the next ‘healing mass’ the next month! My uncle was unlikely to live through the night! She finally called a friend whose uncle was a Maronite priest. My aunt’s friend drove her uncle to the house. My Uncle Hugh received Last Rites in Aramaic, I think, and died peacefully two hours later. God had another grace for my aunt and some of my cousins in leading them to tradition. The refusal by the novus ordo to give Last Rites opened their eyes.
You might take solace from this poem, taught in Irish schools, at one time. The Ballad Of Father Gilligan by William Butler Yeats The old priest Peter Gilligan Was weary night and day; For half his flock were in their beds, Or under green sods lay. Once, while he nodded on a chair, At the moth-hour of eve, Another poor man sent for him, And he began to grieve. 'I have no rest, nor joy, nor peace, For people die and die'; And after cried he, 'God forgive! My body spake, not I!' He knelt, and leaning on the chair He prayed and fell asleep; And the moth-hour went from the fields, And stars began to peep. They slowly into millions grew, And leaves shook in the wind; And God covered the world with shade, And whispered to mankind. Upon the time of sparrow-chirp When the moths came once more. The old priest Peter Gilligan Stood upright on the floor. 'Mavrone, mavrone! the man has died While I slept on the chair'; He roused his horse out of its sleep, And rode with little care. He rode now as he never rode, By rocky lane and fen; The sick man's wife opened the door: 'Father! you come again!' 'And is the poor man dead?' he cried. 'He died an hour ago.' The old priest Peter Gilligan In grief swayed to and fro. 'When you were gone, he turned and died As merry as a bird.' The old priest Peter Gilligan He knelt him at that word. 'He Who hath made the night of stars For souls who tire and bleed, Sent one of His great angels down To help me in my need. 'He Who is wrapped in purple robes, With planets in His care, Had pity on the least of things Asleep upon a chair.'
Matthew 7: 13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life, AND THOSE WHO FIND IT ARE FEW”. Those are Jesus Christ’s own words, there is no debate!
There was an instance when the bubonic plague raged so violently in Europe that a bishop most of whose priests had died in the doing of their duties, that he made a proclamation that those likely to die, if no priest could be found, the faithful could confess to a man. If no man was present confession could be made to a woman because the confession was really to Our Lord. The penitent must strive to have perfect contrition. The better disposed the penitent, the more grace, directly from God. The layman may pray with and for the dying one, but absolution cannot be given. The one who hears the confession is bound under pain of mortal sin just as is the priest to keep the sins in secret. If the sick person recovers, he must reconfess to a priest as soon as that is possible. This was circa 135O.
My happy gratitude to Father who took that next question, to the person who wondered to ask and to you young man for your heart to please, it all put life, an uplift, and hope back to, with or in (I don't know which or all) me. A smile inside and out, much love to you all
Father, thank you for your teaching of the church that has been passed down to us for 2000 years thank you. One of the penances must always be to give up the sin you confessed struggle against it, and die to that sin to rise with Christ, dying to sell.

Yes. To be reconciled to the Church one must confess to a priest. When we left the Novus Ordo we had to go through all our confessions to come into the SSPV. Makes sense. Hmmm. The "perfect act of love" sure does not include the word "but"; yikes; convicted. Oh no, quite the opposite about "few being saved" as a scary thing to cause discouragement. Wanting to be part of the few encourages obedience to God. That gives us the umph we need to obey; persevere. However, nowadays many say that there isn't even God; whew. Much prayer required. Yes. Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom in the Litany of the Blessed Virgin. Oro pro nobis. Amen.
Catholics need to revisit the circumstances of the Great Schism with modesty and lucitidy and stop calling the orthodox Church 'schismatics'. Kyrie eleison ☦️

The Ballad Of Father Gilligan by William Butler Yeats
The old priest Peter Gilligan
Was weary night and day;
For half his flock were in their beds,
Or under green sods lay.
Once, while he nodded on a chair,
At the moth-hour of eve,
Another poor man sent for him,
And he began to grieve.
'I have no rest, nor joy, nor peace,
For people die and die';
And after cried he, 'God forgive!
My body spake, not I!'
He knelt, and leaning on the chair
He prayed and fell asleep;
And the moth-hour went from the fields,
And stars began to peep.
They slowly into millions grew,
And leaves shook in the wind;
And God covered the world with shade,
And whispered to mankind.
Upon the time of sparrow-chirp
When the moths came once more.
The old priest Peter Gilligan
Stood upright on the floor.
'Mavrone, mavrone! the man has died
While I slept on the chair';
He roused his horse out of its sleep,
And rode with little care.
He rode now as he never rode,
By rocky lane and fen;
The sick man's wife opened the door:
'Father! you come again!'
'And is the poor man dead?' he cried.
'He died an hour ago.'
The old priest Peter Gilligan
In grief swayed to and fro.
'When you were gone, he turned and died
As merry as a bird.'
The old priest Peter Gilligan
He knelt him at that word.
'He Who hath made the night of stars
For souls who tire and bleed,
Sent one of His great angels down
To help me in my need.
'He Who is wrapped in purple robes,
With planets in His care,
Had pity on the least of things
Asleep upon a chair.'

THanks for this public ministry. I wish my parishes spoke of these things to the people!

It would be good to provide a list of the questions being answered during each interview for the viewers information.
I think a lot of Protestants and modernists have made it “rocket science “ on how to be saved.😮
"So, he'd be wrong in switching Rites: two Rites would make a Wrong?" 🤣
I think that bishop Fulton Sheen had more than one rite if I’m not mistaken.
What about receiving from a priest in the novos ordo who was properly ordained 1963?
Please tell us how one can make an Act of perfect contrition and a Spiritual communion when the Nuvos Ordo mass is doubtful.
