Another tip:
Leveling character/lightcone/trace from 70 to 80 (trace 8 to 10) it is the same as leveling 0 to 70.
So instead of having one character lvl 80 you'll have two characters lvl 70, same for other cases.
That's incorrect, leveling up relic from +12 to +15 costs the same as from +0 to +12 (37k vs 39k exp.) Same issue for character and lightcone exp.

I just started this game about a week ago and this, by far, is the most clear, concise and helpful video i have found. I've been hesitant to do a lot of things in game with my characters because as a f2p, I don't want to make a big mistake so every decision seems like a big deal. This guide did a great job in letting me know what to worry about and what not to worry so much about, which means i can now enjoy the game more. This might sound a bit dramatic to a lot of people but I'd never played a gacha game before, nor a game in this turn based genre, so the learning curve has been steep. Thanks MrPokke.
I rarely leave comments, usually just a lurker, but this is very detailed in explanation and leaves no questions unanswered, like an academic approach to everything to know about minmaxing your account, if I encountered this guide when I started I would be so grateful (TL 69 so no need now) but I think a lot of players would be insanely lucky to have this when starting out, love you man this is wonderful ❤❤❤

I'd recommend raising Serval over Danheng
There are many many robot/lightning weak enemies in the beginning of the game and AoE break is king until you gear up for decent crit builds
True she's useful even at MoC and Hunt characters are really on the edge now Except Seele cause you need AoE.
For real, I have an alt and hard focused building clara and her team and I couldn't even deal with the kamikaze/healing robots well. Dan heng works but when there's 4 of them you'd have better luck building serval to deal with them easily, at least in the early game

Serval was on my main team for ages with her AOE lightning, until I pulled Kafka. Crazy thing is that I got Serval to E6 trying to get Kafka, only to bench her.

I've played on and off for a few months, hit TL50 smacking through the story, but mostly just messed around and didn't take teams seriously.
Now that I have a new phone that can play a bit while waking up and before bed, I'm trying to shape up my account and this taught me a ton that helped me a ton to prioritize my built up fuel and stamina.

I really like the breakpoints on the powerpoint showing what you should be doing at each Trailblazer level threshold, Im currently at endgame TL54 started during DHIL banner since i got access to the PS5 tech test. And i didnt know that the Golden Calyx was already maxed, so even I learned something and im not a completely new player lol. Will definitely be farming those books and credits till i hit TL60

For the lightcone bit, if you manage to get a three star meshing cogs LC save it. Its a good LC for your supports.

Oh, just gonna add something. If you have gotten a 5 star early on the departure banner, there is no need to continue summoning on that banner as it only guarantees 1 5 star. You can get 2 or more of course but the chances are low so on this occassion, use the tickets on the standard banner.

But they released the game just for Ps5 and it turns out my Pc can handle the game. So I saw Jing Liu and liked how she looks and downloaded lol.

Quick one: Herta Shop LC same concept as Battle Pass LC, get 1 copy to S5, do not get multiple S1. All good, depends on who is your main DPS. Skip Texture of Memories; doesn't make your team tankier, only your tank. There are also a lot of good preservation lightcones like Day One and Landau's Choice.
Fu Xuan does make use of ToM but new players that start during Jingliu banner wont have her so yeah should skip it same with solitary healing as its only good in kafka teams who new players also wont have
@@insertnamehere2022 every persevation character can make use of ToM and mrpokkee's take on it is still applied that it still "doesn't make your team tankier, only your tank". Which is why for new players, recommend 5* lightcone for your main DPS first
@@razergarcia6323 Yeah ofc focus on getting the destruction or hunt lightcone for your corresponding dps first but ToM is still an amazing F2P option on Fu Xuan

Another valid fuel saving situation that I can think of (I've done this for DHIL release) is when you know character is coming out and you need new mat and don't want wait few days to farm it. But this is only small amounts. Like 7 for ascension mat. Maybe 2-3 for weekly boss mat. Of course, this is AFTER you get to 65.

Even as a day 1 player, i still find this very useful such as what free light cone to get from the battle pass.
Also for the new player, dont go for the best set at start, using masketer set if very good because it can be used for any charactor and the margin isnt that big. It is a very eeficient set

Hi ! What would be the order you build your unit in the lategame if you need to chose ?
ofc leveing the unit to ascension 6 is the first priority most of the time
1) Lightcone max level ?
2) Traces to lvl 8ish on important traces?
3) Relic min-maxing (i do think this one is last since you can get away with some good all around relics not character per character min maxing needed there)

As a low spender(Supply Pass/Battle Pass) i haven't run out of exp/credits, cause i don't pull on a limited banner unless i see kafka again. So not many characters to spend my materials on :D
Simple idea: As soon as you hit new equilibrium level max your main dps only, upto the max that equilibrium level allows. (w/o relics) (traces, lc, etc.)
And build support one equilibrium level behind until you unlock max level on your Calyxes, etc.
Eg: Currently I have Kafka, Sampo and Yanqing at lvl 80 (full maxed out traces) & Fu Xuan, Gepard, Pela, Lynx, Tingyun and Asta to lvl 70 (w/ lvl 8 traces)
Next I'll get my Fu Xuan and Pela maxed as they provide the most value to my team

You want to use it on the rarer mainstat drops. So like energy recharge rope, speed boots, element orb, crit body.
I like energy rope especially, since you tend to need a lot of these on supports, where substats less important so it won't feel like a waste if substats are trash.

Limit the upgrades of relics.
The cost ramps up like crazy from +6 to +9 and +12
+15 the relics that has good potential. No sense in burning credits on trash.
Really good guide for units and farming ,i messed up mine main acc . doing random things pulling using bad relics now i lack resources Traces first then relics is sound advice.
Btw… New players… if you get Bronya as your first 5* (like I did when I started) you can straight up use any dps in the game for the story… I used physical trailblazer with Natasha (the forever benched healer) and never lost…. Bronya is ok I guess
I only just started playing this yesterday - I'm TB level 12, with 8 chars all level 20, and 8 LC's also at level 20. (I took the express before doing the 2nd simulation, then got stuck when requiring TB 15, so I'm back at the station to do that next.) Asta really doesn't seem to do much useful damage for me atm? (Am using a main team of MC/March/Dan Heng/Herta and not having any real problems yet.)
I just want to stress the importance of materials - guys, leveling from 60 to 80 is VERY VERY VEEEERYYYY expensive. I can't stress enough just how expensive it is - you need mats for leveling a character up, leveling a lightcone up, leveling traces up, you also need mats to ascend them too, you need a lot of credits for all of this and i haven't even mentioned relics yet. Game is quite generous in terms of starter mats, proper investments and stamina management would make your life in late and even mid game SO MUCH comfortable. Thank you for guide, really wish i could see this guide earlier than i actually did, so i wouldn't end up with scattered all over the place materials.

What i want to add to 27:00 about the overworld mob farming
252k xp = 56 energy each book run is 45000xp 1200cred
40k cred= 16 energy each cred run is 24000cred
25k cred save from xp cash sink= 10 energy
One suggestion is to have something on the background and if you are by some chance raising multiple units level them to 70 ascend them and then get the leftover 10lvs from mob farming.
As for lightcone max it out since itself doesnt gain xp.
This is currently the amount of resources you can gain from mob farming for 1.4 (1.4 did not add new enemies to overworld farm) but im expecting to update this info when they do inevitably add more enemies or maps.

sparing 7 pulls isn't gonna kill u btwy even if it is to get tingyun lol. it's safer than pulling on 5* limited banners where u don't want the 5* but the 4*s, so it shouldn't be much of a big deal tho I'm still saving all my currency there in the shop

I have a PS5 but I am not installing HSR. My phone (S23 Ultra) can already handle this game with no issues. HSR can be played like 1-2 hours a day only.

I did farm my Lunae's relics at lvl 50/59, I'm happy to got a good Lunae to start.

It is recommended to start praying if you manage to get himeko in your first pull. Legends say that 7/10 people that manage to pull Himeko as their 5 stars have The Blessing of Himeko in their account.

As someone who farmed the overworld religiously from day 1 until they added 2 more maps in Luofu in v1.2 (where I started skipping doing it daily). I don't encourage newbies to farm it till the last map of Luofu daily until your DPS can clear 1 wave of enemies within 2 turns on the last 2 maps unless you like to spend 2 hours plus doing it. In v1.4, they gonna add another 2 maps in Belobog which probably gonna add more time to farm on at least 1 map. Personally, I don't mind if the mobs on new maps have high hp but they need to do something about the lost trotters. The trotters just make battles become longer and a nuisance when they escape (because auto-battle doesn't automatically make trotters as main priority). Sure they give extra materials which are good for newbies but as someone that has 30k+ green tier mats for each type and just wants to farm overworld for experience only, it's really annoying. Hope Hoyoverse give us an option to disable lost trotters.
I’m totally new here and I didn’t understand a single thing in video, and what does stamina thing even means?
My only problem i am confused about is what is considered a support and sustained? Support as in a healer or one that buffs/debuffs? And is sustained tanks or something else?
From what I'm able to gather a support can buff/debuff and sustain is anyone that can keep the team safe through tanking/heals

Ok so if I use my fuel what should I use it on?? I’m TrailblazerLvl45 and I wanted to start relic farming for my FX (due to not being able to complete anything after Simulated Universe world 4 and Forgotten Hall) I’ve been patient with the farming and not forcing it with fuels because I heard you should NOT use fuel… however after this video using fuel to get a higher equilibrium seem to make sense, so how should I achieve this? To get to TrailBlazerlvl 50/equilibrium 4 fastest.
Im TB Lvl 47 and in my opinion just play SU until you succeed for SU ability farming,
TB lvl 50 is a safe relic farming but make sure the level and traces of character is your first priority
however use fuel if a must before sunday ends to reach another equilibrium

Tip 1
The quests you get where you can clear them 4 times for relics, don't do them as soon as you get them. If you go back to the ones in the 1st and 2nd area at TB 40 they will give all purple relics. TB 30-39 2 are blue 2 are purple below 30 they are all blue. On the 3rd area doon't do them until TB 50, at TB 40 it's all purple at TB 50 it's 2 purple 2 gold at TB 72 it's still 2 purple 2 gold.
Tip2
Always keep Main character leveled. You will HAVE TO use the MC in the main story no matter what and trust me....having a lvl 20 main character with 1800 hp when doing lvl 80 content is fucking annoying...

Personally I don’t agree on holding off on relics if your traces are alr decent at 60+ TL. Many support characters don’t need much traces. The odds for 3 golds are exceptionally low that it’s essentially irrelevant. Personally I have cleared moc 10 at TL 62 and cleared SD on release which was at TL 64. Why wait for 2-3% efficiency
It’s the added purples for xp, not the gold artifacts. But yes, u should do some artifacts farming, albeit not much.
@@lilpipe7162 what else is there to do? I alr had 8 skills and nodes for dps and I refuse to level irrelevant inefficient traces on supports. I even wasted traces on Clara who I ditched. All I did was farm relics starting from 60 and I cleared the game faster than most. So I disagree with this advice, opportunity loss for negligible efficiency is not worth.
@@michaelyang838 I didn’t follow it through much either. I believe that u need so much artifact xp that it doesn’t even matter. I’m still not fully level 15 on every. Artifacts on my 9 units… can u imagine that? I’m ar 67 Almost and I been farming for a while. Keep in mind tho I used most of my shit 5 stars for salvage material (which paid off a lot).

You clearly underestimate how much traces and skills can give. Raising ultimate from 8 to 10 on your dps already can net in 30-50% dmg increase on average and even up to whooping 80% on certain characters, you would need to spend years in domains to achieve comparable level of dmg increase and even something as minor as lvl80 8% atk node on tingyun is basically equal roughly to 4 lucky rolls on substats.. This is nowhere near negligible.

To add my perspective as someone who’s only spent $60 on the game, I have not farmed credits a single time. There were times when I got close to running out, but if you’re playing this game casually you should never actually get bottleknecked by credits, in my personal experience.
What do you mean credits won't be a bottleneck for casual players? Every player will want to raise some of their units to max at some point, and as explained in the video both character and light cone levels and especially traces get really expensive 70-80 and 8-10, respectively. A casual player should have less credits than a player who farms every day, and even whales get bottlenecked by credits.
@@YenZin108 whales get bottleknecked by credits because they build significantly more units to 80 than a casual or f2p would, and they typically don’t spend their refreshes on credits. Also I personally would say that casuals are playing everyday since the fuel grind only needs to be done once a day and it takes less than 10 mins
@@YenZin108 I have never farmed overworld or sim uni for credits a single day, day 1 player. You get enough credits to comfortably build 2 full teams to 30 star clear moc from using fuel on things other than the credit calyx and from events
@@asherking159 You and I have a different definition of what is a "casual" player. You are also a day 1 player, and this guide is primarily intended for players who are just starting the game. That's months of daily stamina you have that they don't, and if they reach endgame any time soon you bet they will want credits.
And yeah, I'm speaking from my personal experience as someone who started playing September 6th.
TLDR: Not raising your units further because you can clear content is just choosing to bottleneck yourself before your lack of resources do. Raising units is the core of the game, and credits are what you need most to do so.
I would recommend use whoever u want and have fun doin it. This metta setups are mostly not even fun usin. most of the time. And like hard rolling banners is such a BS. Like I took the characters that I have and like their concept and put them together. And change max 1 characters depending on element so at end I have 3 stable and one rotating character in my team for now. The second team Imma gonna build way later will have the same concept. So one Hard DPS, One Sub dps, One healer and then one buffer/debuffer. And I will take the character of the prefered element I like most. Like yeah sure Kafka is fuckin broken but I dont even have her nor considering usin her. I like Serval better but that is just my preference. Im not really metta player and been or will be so if u wanna have fun pick random team try it if not fun or not workin try to just move some characters until u find sumtin u like and works.
