I have a 4070 Ti. It's issue at 4K (and what eats its performance at 4K more than it should lose with the resolution jump) is the 192-bit memory bus. The increased cache size helps but the 4070 Ti memory can usually overclock +1500mhz-2000mhz with no issues and it helps the memory to not be starved quite a bit. Would love to see a video with a memory OC and possibly a core OC. My card got Core +120 and Memory +1900mhz and it got a pretty substantial performance boost even at 1440p (mostly off that memory OC)
Yep, you're totally right about the memory bus. I'm actually planning on an overclocking video for this card, I'm curious how far I can take it since this AORUS card has a very high power limit and a great cooler, the issue with all of the 40 series cards though is that they're not really power limited as far as OC goes, they're really core voltage limited. But as you said, it will be very interesting to see how much a memory OC helps the card out, +2000 would be great 😁
I can verify that i overclocked my Gigabyte Eagle OC 4070 Ti . +160 Core and +2000 Memory (i get more crashes at +200 Core but also dont see much difference in performance) Cyberpunk 2077 Ray Tracing Ultra DLSS Auto 3840x2160 70-100fps lowest 35fps and thats when i look at the map I am an extremely happy camper
@@cameronwilliams3092 cant you see in the video that this guy run the RTX 4070ti with 10500 Mhz :D ? alot of people do something horrible wrong because this will be 10 ghz and it is kinda not happening in this or next or even in 7 generations of GPU's that you will have 10ghz of Memory Clock speed. Do people understand how hard it is to get a CPU nowdays to 6ghz ? do they understand how impossible this will be ? MSI afterburner not working well for them i think.

I picked up a slightly used gigabyte card that runs super cool and no coil whine. Also when fans kick on don’t even hear it for $600. Previous owner used it in spare gaming rig before upgrading to a 4090. I got a steal and glad I got the card I wanted. Almost got a 4070 new that day until he messaged me back saying come over to pick it up and I got the 4070ti I really desired!
I have the same one Framestimespike . The Vram is enough for 1440p. In my System, i have 9-10gb Vram in ultra/Phsycho Settings with Pathracing/DLSS 3.5 Qualli and FG. 4070ti
i play this game in 2560x1440 because i dont know why but in 1080p my GPU is running at 160 FPS and eating just 170 watt, usage is at like 50% if i increase my Resolution to WQHD then it deliver me around 120-130 fps and is at 99% maybe my Ryzen 5800x is a bottleneck for 1080p already.
You mentioned the film grain, they actually have a film grain option in the graphics settings, i would always turn it off it messes with the dlss image quality and honestly doesn't contribute anything meaningful to the experience or visuals. Same thing with motion blur
Which CPU do you have? I was thinking of using something like the AMD 5800x3d or the intel i5/7 13700k. If anyone knows what would be good for this kind of gameplay lmk.
I have a 13700k and it pairs excellently with this GPU, I’m hoping to be able to get an AMD platform to do some more kinds of testing with different combinations of hardware, but in my past experience you’re not going to be disappointed with either Intel or AMD with those processors.
I have a 4070Ti + i7 12700F. I run the game at 1440p on a 27" monitor with 240Mhz.... with the game on Ultra + RT psycho I notice the CPU was in constantily 100% usage!! The 12700F is not a good CPU for this GPU??
Well, the reason to not get it right now is that the Super cards are rumored to be coming soon, so if you can wait you might be able to get 16GB vram + a performance boost for similar money. Most likely around January/February
That's fine, in my opinion it really depends on how consistent the frame times are, I think 40 can actually be an acceptable experience if it's a consistent 40 and in some circumstances capping your framerate to a lower number like that can help to that end.
Its opinion but yeah if You experience 70+fps in games and it drops below 60 or 50 it becomes a meh experience. Hence why I blew $$ on 4090 xD!@@PuffinTechYT
When you make the tests and change the graphycs settings to many times you should restart the game. Something wrong with youre setup,i play this game with 4070 ti on 4k max settings rt on pt on dlss medium with frame gen i have 40 to 60 fps working fine. My specs:ryzen 9 5900x oc with 3600mhz-32gb ram.
The 4080 is the sweet spot, with path tracing at 4k and frame gen the game uses 15gb vram and over 12gb at 1440p, it’s only necessary to get a 16gb 4080, plus anything below 4k just looks awful especially on a 27” display or higher
Right, I think the 4080 is the sweet spot as well technically. The problem is that it, and the 4070 Ti for that matter, are simply too expensive currently to be mainstream.

4080 is garbage for path tracing at 4K. Barely 4090 does it.

Crowds are on the highest setting, that may be a more CPU dependent setting though, I’ll have to test it out.
my i7-8700k is legit melting at 100% usage all the time and that on med/high settings in 1080p

I actually think my recording setup compromised my frame rates a bit, but I’ve fixed things up and want to give it another go here!
