@@tinytim9616i have owned over 7 bulldogs in my time and not one has had a problem of any kind, that’s because I have gotten them from REPUTABLE breeders who have fantastic bloodlines and aren’t in it for money

I'd be eyeballs deep in $#!+ without them!
I had an English bulldog and even though she was stubborn as hell she was very much a lounge dog she loved to spend her day sleeping or just laying down next to me, the only thing she’d get really excited for was car rides and sometimes walks and even those were few and far between cause she was so uninterested in them and would just drop to the ground till we went back inside lol
Keep in mind that all dogs have different personalities so they might actually be considered lazy in general but you might get that one dog with a different personality that is a little more active than usual 🤷♂️
Yeah ! I got a Maltese and she's needs at stimulation walk /play / mental stimulation. She rather be playing all day . Her sister is the most lazy one .
I have two English mastiffs, a male (6) and a female (5). They are the greatest dogs I could ever ask for and Axel our male is definitely the most outgoing mastiff you’ll ever meet😂
One mastiff is sometimes active, but they give out tough love. There's no fun if there's no risk of injury. So I got a second mastiff. They've become brother and sister. When not taking up the entire sofa, they can be seen sleeping in my flowerbed, eating the cat food, drooling everywhere that isn't carpet, even sometimes playing. I wouldn't trade them for the world. They're my new children
English bulldogs are great! I miss my Samson everyday, sucks they have such a short life span. I'm grateful for my new dog, it was a nice change, but hands down would definitely get another
My little Pooshon sleeps more than my cat, which I honestly didn't think was possible LOL She's a good doggy when I'm super busy and she needs to entertain herself. As long as she gets loads of attention when I get home (which usually means sleeping in my lap) she's been a fantastic breed for my busy lifestyle. Plus side: she travels well. Likes to go places and fits into a bag or body carrier 😂
Bullmastiff is half the size of English Mastiff, calmest most affectionate lovable dog. But if you have any expectations of it ever doing anything you want it to do you better have the infinite patience. I have a 220 pound English mastiff and he's absolutely the best boy. I want an English bulldog in a couple of years when my two mastiffs are gett into their last days.
In my opinion, the best overall dog is the chaco gold knee turantula. Overall friendly spends most of the day filling its water bowl with sand and you only have to feed it once a week to once every two weeks
I have a English mastiff boxer mix. The only thing he got from the boxer side is the smaller size. He acts very much like the English mastiff. Sleep food and cuddles and he is a happy boy
I have a big sliding glass door that leads to the backyard. When my 2nd mastiff was young, she decided to run outside while playing with her brother. She went straight through the door. The tempered glass was shattered, the frame was at a 45 degree angle, and the rails were ripped out of the concrete. The repairman asked what caused it out of curiosity. I told him the truth, but he didn't accept it. He didn't believe a dog could cause that much damage. So I called her over, and 170 pounds of love, wrinkles, and muscle came flying down the hallway. He didn't question me after that. Her brother broke a screen door. And before he passed, my bullmastiff broke 3 screen doors. I'm getting conventional doors when I remodel
I think an English Mastiff a cousin had when I was really young sparked my love with the big and bulky breeds. They lived out in farm country and I love bed sitting next to him on the porch, petting his head and swatting flies while he snoozed.
Telling people that St Bernards is a breed for busy people is bullshit. St Bernards are a working dog from the Western Alps in Italy and Switzerland My Gran loved them. I had to walk her dogs 10 miles a day. They're not low energy, they're big old plodders. I'd walk him 5 miles in the morning, then another 5 miles in the afternoon.
I had a Neopolitan for years, and she was super chill and flobby ... except for when she wasn't. Neos can climb trees, so when they go on a tear, it can get silly.
I absolutely love the fact that you call your English mastiff, Eileen! It tickles me no end as it like calling a Labrador Dave again, absolutely perfect! 😂😂😂 Edit: it’s just popped into my head that I am gonna take a long shot guess that the joke never gets old every time you use the ‘Dexys Midnight Runners’ joke by calling to her “come on Eileen”, lol! 😉😂

He’s got the BC brain, so I Do plan on training him to agility but he’s adapting even to low energy days. Long as he gets to be with me.
I had a beautiful Saint Bernard but she was food aggressive. I had to get rid of her when my daughter started crawling. I've never had that problem with a German Shepherd in 40 years.
I only deal with labradors and they’re the most versatile if you have multiple. If you have busy schedule they’ll just sleep most of the time and play with each other the rest, and still have enough energy to play with you when you get home.
English Bulldogs are such sweeties and handle well with kids and other animals. My cousin on mom side had one of them, and he was such a sweetie. He loved being around us and being played and cuddle... mostly cuddled and petted. Such a pity they have so many health issues.
I've never heard you talk about the Shetland sheep dog aka Sheltie. I had one for 14 years before getting my current Cane Corso and Jake my Sheltie was the best dog ever. Sweet patience kind tolerant if all situations. Not to much energy. Super smart seemed like he spoke english he did commands I sware that I never formally taught him.
