Wish you well in your milking venture , watching you milk in an abreast parlour takes me back many years, at one time i milked over 140 cows through a 6 stall abreast, hardest work of my life.
Good morning from Idaho. I really like your parlor setup. May I ask, how high of a step is it for the cows to get up on the stanchion where you milk them? They don't seem to have any difficulty stepping up there at all.
I’m impressed for a small operation. What a beautiful setup. I milked 8 by hand and sent to the cheese house in cans until I put machines and bulk tank in. How things have changed.
Thank you! Annabell is a Tatoo(92) x Archrival(94) x Apple(96). Aurora is a Crush(91) x Archrival(94) x Apple(96). Jetta is an Avalanche(91) x Windbrook(95)
What do you mostly do with your milk? I use to hand milk a cow years ago and actually sold some of it. When we had the cow my sons were little and literally drank a gallon of milk a day. So I jokingly said it would be cheaper to milk our own cow. Lol. So that’s what we did. Anything extra was given to our calves. My grandpap, my dad , me and my sons were all raised on raw milk. We have a cow due any day now and a heifer we just got bred so with any luck my granddaughter will also have the privilege of drinking raw milk too.
Hey! That's so awesome to hear you grew up on raw milk. It's the best! We also drink our milk, and we make cheese. We are in the process to become a creamery.
Hello mam,im from india small scale dairy farmer what is the exact cost of this milking parler, and dimensions of the cows stand on the porch, and also the lock fixation during milking . Its very informative and happy to see the milking is going smoothly And what is u use in pre and post deep nice mam .
@ThomasWallace-yb6nb we tried doing that before, and some of them go to their spot, and others wander off. We don't have gates from their pen to the parlor, so they can actually get out and run around outside of their pen if we don't lead them to the parlor. Thanks for the idea though.

hello can you make a full video about cow milking by bucket milking machine please
If I ever use our bucket machine, it would be at a cow show. That will be a while.

What do figure the payback time will be for your investment?
I do not know yet. We have been milking cows for so long now because we keep our fancy show cows for showing.

Nice little dairy barn. Are you near Clover Mountain Dairy?
God bless you.
We are about 4 hrs away from them.
Did you guys get a grant to build a facility like this for a small herd?
No, we just saved up for it
@@oliverfamilyfarmlife impressive set up!
Great Video
Thanks!
Very nice. Am dairy farmer in kenya, Africa and i looking forward to get good cows like yours. Which state are you in.
We are from Washington. Are you planning on having holsteins?
Yes. Am in new jersey, but i farm kenya. I do Ayrshire and cross breed Holstein .
Are your three cows grandma, mum & daughter? Cheers 🇦🇺
Two are sisters, and one isn't related.
Their udders are so alike who is their sire. Cheers
Jetta is an Avalanche.
Aurora is a Crush.
Annabell is a Tatoo.
Annabell and Aurora are sister. Their mom is an Archrival.
Let them walk in on their own! You don't need to lead them with a halter!
