Spoiler ahead for the encore mode: Can someone explain the good ending for encore mode to me? I just got the good ending for the first time, and I'm completely confused over it. Where did Dr. Robotnic get sent too? And in the bad ending, that big robot guy took the shadow emerald, implying he's a bad guy. So I assumed he's the real final boss. But when you get the good ending, the robot guy is with Sonic and friends, like he's a good guy? I really am so confused over this ending. :( Can someone explain it to me, please? Also, when Dr. Robotnic got sucked into that time portal, did he get sent to another Sonic Game? Tying it into another game? Similar to how Sonic got sucked into it, sending him to Sonic forces?

If you go for completion & a secret final boss, it’s compulsory. If not, they’re optional, but you get Eggman’s stupid victory animation at the end of the game. I assume. I only say that being Eggman teases you in the other 2D Sonic games.
Is it me, or does the Encore Mode of Metallic Madness look like its Bad Future variant from Sonic CD? I mean, the background is different compared to its Bad Future variant (which is all black with red and blue lights and damaged machinery), but I know that the platforms are brown in color.
