Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Antigua and Barbuda Symphony Orchestra (ABYSO)

In October the RPO and ABYSO joined forces for workshops, coaching sessions and public performances, beginning a new relationship that will continue this year as musicians for the RPO will join the ABYSO in Antigua for the Music to Inspire festival.

Meanwhile in UK state sector the number of schools offering a music A-level has fallen by more than 15% in the past two years, and the number of students starting a GCSE music course down by 10% since 2016. Couple that with secondary school music teacher numbers dropping by 1,000 between 2010 and 2017. But hey ho...
