I was just here to hear you say the part at 26:57 and 27:19 😂 great stuff as always. I see you made it in my colors just in case you wanted to sell it to me after 🤣
I’ve been looking forward to this one. So stoked your getting into 24th scale. The scx24 budget build off was my introduction to crawlers. Awesome content as always.
I love seeing all the design work you do shrunk down to the small scale. I dont see many channels actually making their own parts from scratch like that.
I've built 4 scx24s from the ground up. Easily $500+ per buggy. One of my builds I used a 24th scale destroyer esc paired with metal injora axles. It has 4 pre-programmed steering modes. (Front wheel steering, tight steering, crab walk, and rear steering) Very addictive hobby. Your buggy is awesome!
✌🏻😎🏴I’ve been telling everyone for years to get into smaller scale RC’s. Now you Tony & a bunch of other people are getting into it, & after everyone saying “Na, Don’t think so, not my thing, small scale sucks bla bla bla 🤣. Now you’re all hooked 🤣
It was a blast! Glad you took the long drive to crawl with us. Made competition more intense with you in the room!! Pressure was on!! Lol. VERY IMPRESSIVE rig you built. Hope to see you for the rest of the series.
@@HarleyDesignsInc, when you drop them and can’t find where it went, they basically become metal slivers with hex heads to unscrew them from your foot! Yeah, they can be frustrating.😂 Awesome rig, and excellent design work.
Awesome to see ya get back into these little guys. On their own I agree they can be less than desirable but once it’s comp time they really can shine and be blast. Great video as always!
Wish you had consulted me (or my channel more so) for your build parts… would have recommended HR LT oil shocks. Best of the best at 42mm. Links…. Would have gone with Mazz Designs or Injora stainless with the threaded on ends for fine tuning castor. You did get the best transmission though… that HP DW1.5 is awesome. Mofo NANO BAM and Rockwolf ESC would have been my choice as well. Always use Mofo RCs adjustable Best Servo Mount Ever - far superior to every other mount. I know it’s too late, but those are my tips…. Maybe for your next 1/24 build! Cheers!
After seeing this video I immediately went to your site to see if I could buy these files, was bummed that they're not up... Will these be available for purchase at some point?
Must be that time of year ha ha I just started working on an indoor course in my attic for my channel. I really like that weight set up you designed for the axles takes the competition rigs to a whole new level
NICE. Glad you came around to the small side of crawling. Dibs if you get out of it though. Who knows next year you might take up DRIFTING. Haha love the content
Laughing, I just got back into the 24s myself, nifty ideas on the battery/electronics trays like the old school vaterras had, now time to stretch my ax24, lol
Lol welcome back. Actually I got in when you left. If you can come to one of my comps. I do 1/10 rules 50pt max instead of 40pt and free reverses. I love the content already. You came in swinging
If you had to choose from the all the chassis kits (comp) you can buy online which do you recommend? I live this build and you got some good driving skills 👍
Nothing like a good booger! 🦠 Might I suggest building a Prophet-Designs Echo V2 with some Hard Park Dementor long links, any flat skid, and some 1.8" on it and don't look back. You can watch my ALBN24 tear up every course I put them on and drool.
I sold most of my 24's because they sucked at crawling. All that's left is an AX24 that I have way too much money in to ever sell for a reasonable (to me) price... and it can't even touch your little green thing. I guess I need to order a couple of Micro 99's....
Your weight design reminds me of a company a ways back. SPI wheels did a wheel called the "rocker " with a weight that sat inside the wheel but stayed at the bottom. I built a bronco from an scx10 and one of your x trail chassis for them to showcase it. Was very cool design way back then
I remember RC4WD did those about 15 years ago. They were the worst though because when you would go to climb up, they would be straight back which hurt performance. They didn’t last long!
I've got a lgrp ultra 24 with a godzilla motor/lizard ultimate and a 4ws injora buggy with a komodo/lizard pro, oh and a fms k5 😂 all of them are a blast to drive but honestly my scx6 honcho gets the most drive time. The little guys get used mainly during storm season and deep winter when outside is very limited here in Alaska. I have tracks for the ultra 24 too that are insanely capable in the snow. I know you love tracks so much lol but here in snow country you can really appreciate them
What did you pair the 10px to. Sorry if I missed it I was on and off with the video as I was working on stuff but want to get a 10px soon as I use to run a 10px and love the remotes. But to run that same remote for the 24 scale scuff would be nice.
Query: If you design your own chassis and use a majority of aftermarket parts, is it really an SCX 24? Wouldn't it be closer to and HDX 24 (Harley Designs X 24)?
Dude!! Nice to see you competing on the SCX-24 scale! I have SCX-24's as well as Phoenix straight axle rigs and a new Fordyce rig. And I gotta say, I love my 24th scale rigs just as much as my VP rigs. Now, if I could just have all the machines and abilities you have to design, print, and cut my own parts....I could do so much more with the ideas bouncing around in my head and become so much more competitive. Anywho, I thoroughly enjoyed watching you compete with that very capable rig....welcome back to the little guys. Awesome build! Awesome runs. Just 1 question: Do you have your chassis design files available to buy/download anywhere? I'd love to have that chassis. Oh and I love my LGRP Super 8 axles AND my Furitex Python Pro esc and Cedar combo set up. I also have a "Hellfire" motor as well as the MoFo Revenge of Pancake motors waiting in the wings for their chance in the spotlight....But, again, I LOVE this "Booger" build and I'd love to see so much more 24th scale rigs come from the "Harley Designs" stable. And, as always, I loved this video. Keep 'em coming! Peace, Big Mountain Customs
Great choice on the tire. Love the rims. That being said, insert needs to be softer, almost no deflection to grab those edges and the wheelbase is too long. Hate the moveable gates, and unfortunately in the 1/24 world almost no one runs the same rules. RCCMA has some, SorcaLite uses something different. Fwiw those gates are huge to what we run at Reaction. 6 - 6.5" gates unless its an absolute nightmare of a gate, these are not 1/18's.
Moveable gates are standard in 1:10 crawling so I prefer that style. I don’t like tall flags personally. The gates in the first comp were 6” and the second they vary but were a min of 7”
I really like that body on your crawler; I wasn't able to find it on knight customs. Was it a design that you printed out? Looking for something similar for my own build.
G'day josh ol son....I knew if given the right tech and proper rules you'd be a shoe-in for some mini scale crawlin m8. loved the content and no hold bar🤑expence on top tier parts and that Harley Designs "can do" attitude🤔. Cheers champ from A M8 Downunder🙃
I’ll check it out. These little chassis are so simple that it’s pretty easy to knock them out. I’ll definitely build up another rig to have some side by sides.
Hey bud, any advice on how to find these comps? Not these specific ones, but im here in socal and just got into rc crawling. Is it just communicating with local hobby shops?
I was just here to hear you say the part at 26:57 and 27:19 😂 great stuff as always. I see you made it in my colors just in case you wanted to sell it to me after 🤣
I think my next upload will be of you saying that on repeat for like 10 minutes
1/24 is how I got into rc like many others.
@@CCxRC I'll watch on repeat 🎶🎵🤣
I’d like the record to show I’ll only take back half the things I said…
@@HarleyDesignsInc 🤪👍 we're half way there
I'm glad you had a change of heart! Can't wait to see the Mad Scientist create some sick 24/18 builds.
Vanquish scx24 parts on the way now.
I’ve been looking forward to this one. So stoked your getting into 24th scale. The scx24 budget build off was my introduction to crawlers. Awesome content as always.
I mean… nobody is gonna accuse you of half assing this one. Definitely went whole ass on this 😂
I love seeing all the design work you do shrunk down to the small scale. I dont see many channels actually making their own parts from scratch like that.
I’m fortunate to have spent a lot of time and money in fun tools to be able to make this happen.

Now thats thinking outside the box on thise wheels and the weights. Nice build man!! Never cease to impress.
This is my favorite video of 2023. Thanks 👍
"Nicole's Retirement Fund"
Wife price, $100
lol🤣
Can we see a build tally? Curious to see what the final cost was.
Do I only tally the parts I ended up using? Because that would help.
I suppose just the parts used for this rig😅
@@HarleyDesignsInc Do never confess. Never. The whole RC married guys brotherhood stands with you. 😂😂😂

I always enjoy the amount of design work you do for any build, attention to detail in every part is so awesome
It’s a fun excuse to design for sure! These little screws kind of piss me off though!
@@HarleyDesignsInc, when you drop them and can’t find where it went, they basically become metal slivers with hex heads to unscrew them from your foot! Yeah, they can be frustrating.😂 Awesome rig, and excellent design work.

I’ll likely try an AM32 ESC the next time, so many decent motor options as well.
Awesome to hear that you had a good time of it. Small scale stuff is definitely a lot different and can be fun in its own way.
Awesome Josh, I like the second place , That course is sweet but they both were sweet
This is a class 3 build but a really nice one. The tire and wheel setup is very ingenious
Brother your engineering brain is wild. That’s absolutely incredible. Well done.
Great to see you give them a fair shake!
Really looking forward to the content they'll bring to the channel.
Pretty cool. Nice build for sure
Damn..... now I might have to build a SCX 24 !! Great build !!
Nice comp footage!!! I’m hooked!!
Very nice. Glad to see some 1/24 content. These little guys can be a blast
I am working on my class 2 scx24 right now as I watch your video. I mostly do the 24s in the winter and 10th scale stuff in the better weather months.
Giving me some ideas for my own custom chassis I'm working on. I really like the stealth weight hangers inside the tires
Nice work on the video and the truck! Pretty neat to see.
Pretty cool to see the build and comp!
I’ve got another one coming up soon! I do love to comp!
I like that man made course, guess I could build one to put in the garage
Awesome truck, great comp footage 🤘y'all have a badass day🤘
I think ya did great straight from the work bench to the podium! Nice job
Thank you for bringing attention to the 1:24
I'm glad you had a good time. I feel like you about the 24th scale. I have a few, but they don't get much run time.
Unless there is a comp, I doubt I’ll ever run this thing.

One word! Sick!👍👍🤙

NICE. Glad you came around to the small side of crawling. Dibs if you get out of it though. Who knows next year you might take up DRIFTING. Haha love the content
I’ll never do drifting again!!! 😁
Nice seeing you again at Amain. Seeing the work you put into that truck is crazy.
Had a good time up there!
Nice job! Amazing how capable the 24th scale rigs can be!
It’s definitely a lot more fun to have built the full custom one now.
Recommend giving the 1.0 ruptures a try as well as exo rc front driveshafts, really love the wheels and hangers! 🤙
Awesome 😎 I enjoyed this video soooo much Harley! I’m not 1/24 guy either but very entertaining 😊
Great video. More Scx24 and Ax24 content!!!
Much to my own chagrin, there will be more.
I love it the chassis seem like it performed very very well you did a dang gone good job the better it will get

Love it! 😂
I teared up with this video. We're so proud of you JOSH!! hahahhaha

I really made this with CNC in mind more than printing alone. So I probably wont be putting these files out.

I’d agree yes, but it’s just more common practice for people to refer to them by the family of parts the aftermarket options are designed for.
You should try rear steer on a knob rather than a multi position switch
I had 5 positions in each direction, I normally run 2 in each direction. I prefer that over a knob.
this is sweet!
I wish you would have done the 179 in brass
I have the 179 as well but they don't make it in brass.

Are we going to see a vs4-24?
I'm wanting them wheels and weights
I tinker with mine all the time until I get them performing their best and then of course I'll run them and do videos but I start on the next one also
i like it, maybe we will try and start something here :)
The barrier to get guys into it is much lower. Seems pretty easy to get a community of people into it.
drive it like matt 👍

Hey bud, any advice on how to find these comps? Not these specific ones, but im here in socal and just got into rc crawling. Is it just communicating with local hobby shops?
Find local Facebook groups, that’s usually where you find the events easiest.
I was amazed how much these cost, just finished my custom class 2 and cost just over 2000 Aud (1300USD)
any chance youd share the weight hanger / wheels files?
tip 2. you rly need better steering in front, Go extreme cvds, dremel axle and knuckle and get 50-55 deg steering
Is there a complete parts list available?
I’m working on that this week! I will have a follow up soon.
Will you be uploading the print files to your thingiverse account?
Probably not for this project as it is very specialized to my parts list.
Man you sure know how to use that program as always bad ass Josh
I love any excuse to design!
Did you try the second one again but with the rear steering to see how it could have gone?
It was easy to clean the course with the rear steer!
Like button energized.
Nice build, some mistakes made =) but awesome knuckle rim weight combo. rly nice
whats your total knuckle+add on weight in grams?
Just throwing it out there. Tungsten putty is used in flyfishing, if that helps anyone find a cheap source?
Great info!
I've done some time based comps like that in 1/10th, hard to transition your brain from the points based sorrca comps. I prefer the points based.
I definitely prefer the points! But I’ll be ready for the next time one though!
Great stuff! What size pinion did you end up going with? The included 11T or something else?
Included pinion on 3s.
