I kind of miss the smell of colouring books and crayons we used to get in Christmas stockings way back in the 70's and of course a small tin of creamy toffees. Talk about the ghosts of Christmas past, what's your cherished memory of childhood Christmases?
Aww that’s lovely 🥰 my favourite was we used to get an outfit for Christmas ( but something well made to last the year for special occasions) I used to love my new clothes and always used to get excited for that on Christmas Eve as it was a present but we could open it early and wear them to my nans for our Christmas party xxx
Our stockings were left at the end of our beds(way back in the 70's too). Loved waking up to that and trying to feel what was in it because it was so early and you were afraid to get up and go downstairs in case Santa was still leaving your presents..Good times and great memories
@@Rosiehenshawhome I’m an oldie 🤣 I too used to love getting my new Christmas clothes, we had to wait till the big day, but that night we used to have a bath using all our lovely new bath cubes, and Avon soap on a rope, (your Gran will remember those) and then the following day we would dress up, and then sometimes relatives used to turn up who we only saw a few times a year and bring us a few presents, then the afternoon would be spent writing thank you cards, so different from today, but still very very enjoyable.
Always had a pack of felt tips in mine and an annual! I had a candy stripe pillowcase at the end of my bed. A few years ago my husband got a candy stripe pillowcase for me and now puts my presents from him in it!x
My memories and from the 1950’s. A tangerine and an apple in the stocking (sock) were highlights as fruit wasn’t quite so common.
Great ideas. I use the cellophane type roasting bags for gifts, you get lots in a pack and they are not expensive from poundland or home bargins they come in various sizes and are idea for small gift sets etc

Great gift ideas..I'm a big fan of making hampers for everyone..I think you can make them so personal and people appreciate the work you have put in....I childmind 3 kids and this year I made them 3 large hampers...I spent the whole year collecting arts and crafts when they were reduced in such places as the range , tescos and even primark...I done 2 Harry Potter ones and a Mickey mouse one...primark reduced a lot during the year especially Harry Potter and Mickley mouse stock..I also done a Yankee candle hamper for my sister and a make up one for my niece.. I also do a hamper for my brothers dog lol
I buy the Christmas baubles when they are in the sale and use them with the bow on the outer packaging... I usually buy my hamper baskets in the charity during the year when they are more available and cheaper ...also those budget hampers you done Rosie are ideal for teachers presents...

Great ideas, as ever, Rosie! will definitely be making some hampers this weekend. My daughter loves getting lots of smellies and pamper bits.... Great for rainy days in January to start using all these things. She always starts to run out of last years christmas treats about now so they are such a wanted and useful gift. Just as a side note, the Jess Wright perfume is a lovely daytime scent and such good value. Always a pleasure watching your videos hun xx

Hey lovely 🥰 If she’s girly you can’t go wrong with a little beauty hamper with some nail polish/ lipgloss/ face masks bath bombs that type of thing. But if she’s not particularly into that. They have the coolest colouring in book on Amazon. I typed in “preppy colouring in book” and I ordered that and some lovely pastel colouring pens for my friend’s daughter that’s the same age. All the pictures and designs are cool teenage style images and when Millie saw it she’s asked for it from Santa 🤣 win win xx
