    Very good. Maybe worth emphasising the white electrical box doesn’t come away easily if you forget to disconnect the power lead (as I did at first!) I assumed unplugging it was just for isolating it from an electric supply but you must take it out of the back of the machine

    Thank you for an excellent instructional video! I also had difficulties removing the ntc or smaller connection (1:30), as other commenters mentioned. I marked each wire with a sharpie and also took a picture in case the wires pulled loose from the connector so I would know which went where. However, I found there was enough slack in the wire to pull the pump out with this connection still in place. I was able to pull the pump to the edge of the washer frame and then it was easy to rock the connector back and forth until it came out. Once again, thanks for your very helpful video!

    BOSCH have changed the design on some integrated dishwashers. Above the control / power brick are rubber hose and a water.chamber - great design eh!
    I think one is supposed to remove the bottom off the dishwasher now. I did managed to get the power brick out. Those pesky grey control wires fell out of their plug. I posted a video on my channel about the crap new design and later which wires goes where. 3 gray wires! There are, on my model, 2 yellow and 3 grey wires on the control board. Call the grey c1, c2, c3 with c1 closest to yellow. These goes to p1, p2, p3 respectively where p1 - 3 means at the pump. Look at the plug for 3, 2, 1.
    Bad pump gives E09.
    Bad NTC wires gives E11.
    Water leak gives E15.
    Thanks for posting this video.

      Ah yes, there are a few models now with a reserve tank on the side, you can remove the vent from on the inside which will allow you to lay the tank out of the way but you have to be careful with potential water coming out, definitely a pain to work on. The grey cables are for the ntc and have a tendency to ruin your day lol, the easier way is to remove the cable from the PCB and straighten all 3 cables then pop the plug back on, but well done, sounds like you nailed it in the end, no problem glad it's helpful 👍

      I am struggling with disassembling a Siemens dishwasher (similar to Bosch) right now to get to the pump. This is a great video, but I too found that it shows another design where the control unit can be removed more easily. In case it helps anyone, the following video matches my machine and shows the extra steps required: ua-cam.com/video/delC96kHVKI/v-deo.html

    I am not getting any hot water, and also, the cycle stops at a Tap error (display only) on my Bosch smv40e50eu. I am not sure the relationship of these two, but after trying to go after the tap display blinking error, everything is pointing towards this heat pump. The video was very helpful (Thank You!). The caution again (as per the other posting) is to be careful with the gray cable (at 1.31 in video); It can easily be damaged. In my case, I Ieft this gray cable in place, was very careful to pull the pump first and then take the cable out afterwards.
    Checked the pump resistance and I am not getting the 19-20 Ohms. Instead, something like 1.5MOhms. Will replace the pump.

    • @therepairguy4443
      @therepairguy4443  Рік тому

      Definitely sounds like the heater, the resistance is definitely too low. I found several dishwasher without displays will run all the way to the end of the cycle without heat, not complete the final dran and flash the tap light which sounds like what you have here. Heatpump definitely sounds like your issue, good luck and hopefully the new one resolves your issue 👍

    Hi, what a great tutorial! I'm in the process of replacing the heat pump and I disconnected the heater connector from the main board (white box) that sits at the side of dishwasher. Now I'm not sure what's its correct position. I think it should be aligned to the right, so the side where main power connector is, as the most right four metal pins look "newer" than the other two on the left. Could you confirm that?

    • @blackredroll
      @blackredroll 6 місяців тому

      OK, I took a risk and pluged the connector to the right side, were the shiny pins are. It is the correct place. Washing machine works as new. Thanks

  • @rook999
    @rook999 6 місяців тому

    Check your plugs! In this tutorial we touch the three plugs on the heat pump.
    When I pulled the plugs and harness loose the DRAIN PUMP PLUG CAME OUT on its own. They took care to put tabs on the heat pump plugs. But they did not do the same for the DRAIN PUMP plug. This turned my E:09 error to an E:23 error. This was because the drain pump plug came out when I was moving around the wires and that plug doesn’t have a reliable clip.

    Hi Thanks for the great video! The NTC cable (or the small connector with three gray wires you unplug on 1:31) came loose when i tried to pull it out from the pump. The three cables have the same color so I reinstalled them but I don't know if i put them back in the right order (in the white connector). I plugged in the dishwasher and it seems to work, but did I do something that might have complications in the future?

    • @therepairguy4443
      @therepairguy4443  Рік тому

      Hey, glad this video helped you, in regards to the cables, if they are put back incorrectly you will normally get an error code and the cycle will not complete, so if it's going all the way through and heating ok, it sounds like you got them right. If you want to check the cable, you can remove it from the PCB and pump, then straighten the cable out, the plugs will face the same way and all cables should be straight and not twisted around each other, hopefully that makes sense it's a bit difficult to explain.
