did you know that one stack of roaring flames both causes your unpowered melee to act powered and subsequent unpowered roaring flames melee kills will increase the stacks and increase your unpowered melee damage like your powered melee?
Hey all, editor here, im to blame for the four week gap in vids lol. This one took a crazy amount of effort, and much longer than intended. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to watch it!
Sometimes I forget how incredible this game has been due to constant bashing and controversies on Twitter. I took a 3 month break from the game and just got back to playing it again from time to time and have been enjoying it a lot!
Despite knowing the spec mod enemy affiliations, I actually hadn't realized that the values for each of them (except Taken) was 7.77%, the ol' "Bungie magic number". I wouldn't even put it past them for it to be specifically 7.777777% in the code.
Same goes for Titan's Knockout and Roaring Flames, not just Offensive Bulwark. Heck, I think *any* subclass buffs to melee will make them powered melees.
It's absolutely nasty with Arc Titan's Thruster. Combine it with Forbearance, Eager Edge, and a good shotgun, you can wipe out an entire sector of enemies before half your team even arrives.
Good to know my arc buddy does that! Never knew, even more shocking because I use it all the time! Can't believe this is the only thing I didn't know, especially since I use my arc buddy the most.
Listing things I didn't know yet: 1. Picking up Motes. Wtf, that is straight up busted 2. Blinding threshers. Good to know 3. Ships with glows. I just use Platinum Starling and the Mayfly, so I never saw that interaction Yep, that's it. I need a life
49/55, so thank you for those 6 things I didn't know! Gotta say, that animation for how the aim assist bloom works was the best I've seen. Very cool, my dude
3:54 this Radiant effect can be frustrating if you're not used to it, so start swapping to your heavy weapon to avoid using a gun that's already benefiting from another mod like Overload or Unstop. Get Radiant, use Power weapon, melt champ.
Got all of these right except for the ship shader one since I never change my shaders while in a group. Surprised you didn't mention as a bonus question that targets affected by Witherhoard are considered Taken enemies (which lets Malfeasance do more damage to them).
Many people still mistake the taken thing with witherhoard. When witherhoard is applied taken spec does not get the increased damage, and the kings fall mods also do not work either when applying witherhoard to the hive in there. So I don't think it makes the enemy taken it's just applying a unique debuff only applicable to specific weapons (wishender, malfeasance, touch)
@@ForeverLaxxyou did say that targets affected by witherhoard are considered as taken, which the kind young lad corrected you saying that taken spec and other mods that should do more damage to taken does not affect targets effected by witherhoard, also not to mention wishender also does more damage to target affected by witherhoard despite the weapon not saying to deals more damage to taken
applying witherhoard makes them "blighted", which is a serparate, hidden interaction with malfeasance. A Taken enemy can be stuck with witherhoard and both bonuses will apply at the same time, stacking.
7:24 the combination blow melee on hunter works the same, but you need to get 1 kill with the melee and then you can make orb infinitely while the perk is on
For any sword user, simply blocking will negate impact damage and it gets insane when on titan with strongholds. the damage negation is also tied to your guard.
Absolutely FANTASTIC video! There’s a lot of information in here that, for each you don’t know, can be potentially used to strongly elevate your game. Great stuff!
Knew everything, but the ship shader interaction. I have not changed my ship since I got the wisper of the worm ship. Some great tips, but "ludicrous" for some buildcrafting or dim usage seems a bit exaggerated. Still a great video. Some useful suggestions for a 2nd part: - Interaction between Boots of the Assembler + Lumina & Necrotic Grip with Osteo & Thron - Snap Skating (for pvp) - Stasis crystal do shatter damage based on the creation source (eg. grenade damage) - Checking vendors like Xur in Dim - Kinetic weapons does more damage than stasis and strand weapons - Rocket launcher frame damage (not useful, but fun): - dance party key - reroll masterwork on old weapons - set light level stuff like deep dive are not affected by sunsetting, so you can still bring sunset stuff with no issues - some sunset weapons have elements which they cant get anymore
It happened that I know all 55 of these and even use most of them😊 It's good to play since release and investigate the deepest deeps of game personally)
2:19 Holding the joystick forward does nothing speed wise, but when the stick is pressed towards the edge it is much easier to do precise left/right adjustments. So it's doing at least something beneficial.
For ammo finder mods, its something like 5% progress for exotic primary, 1.3% for special and like 1% for heavy. Keep in mind only weapon kills progress the ammo finder meter to 100%. 1/2/3 ammo finder mods gives you 33%/66%/100% of a normal heavy drop
1. Holding ‘w’ on a sparrow does nothing when you’re on the ground, but it *does* do something when you’re in the air. I’d encourage you to talk to a few speed runners/out of bounds explorers about the wacky physics involved in sparrows, it’s pretty illuminating. 2.DIM does so much more than allowing you to drag/drop gear between characters. It has a tab for tracking NPC inventory so you can see what they have without wasting time flying there manually, it has a section that tracks your collections so you can figure out which bones/eggs/penguin/action figures you’ve still got to go find. It was the first to have a feature to build/save loadouts you can swap between, and unlike the one added in-game recently the DIM version allows you to share your loadout with someone else and allows them to equip the same loadout. DIM is such an incredibly useful tool. (Ah, you cover that in one of the Ludicrous section tips. Bravo 👏) 3. Cabal threshers can also be blinded by any weapon blinding effect so grenade launchers with disorienting grenades also work. Not only the ships, but Hive Shriekers are similarly interrupted. Incredibly useful in high level content. 4.The confusion around the Vorpal Weapon perk probably stems from that Vorpal did originally give a flat bonus, it was changed a little while back to different values by ammo type because Bungie wanted to make it more appealing since it was falling behind the new perks they were introducing. There’s an entire TWID/TWAB article that featured how they adjusted certain perks. 5.Ambitious Assassin also will not reactivate until all the additional rounds added have been used, which is why it’s so attractive on heavy hitting weapons like grenade launchers since it’s easy to get multikills with one shot and you’re reloading those often, but not as much utilized on weapons like SMGs with little impact and similarly small magazine sizes. 6. I realized after watching this video that I have put entirely too much time/effort into this game and should probably go for a walk outside 😅 Thanks Castle Content, really enjoyed the video 💙
12:02 Arc buddies will also target Moths in Savathun's Throne World (helpful during Lightblade) & baby Screeb in the Tangled Shore, but they're not in the game anymore (RIP)
Being under tier 3 on any stat gives you a penalty to your cooldown, so a jump from 2 to 3 is going from 90% to 100% original cooldown, and everything after tier 3 is a bonus
the last bit about minor major and boss you should have mentioned that Vorpal weapon DOES boost damage to champions despite them being majors. So the best passive damage boost to champs you can get is major spec and vorpal weapon.
44: Cerberus being the notable exception as it does *increasing* damage at mid range, then drops off at long range 46: That explains why I have a 31 Resilience on my Geomags. I didn't think any stat went above 30 and it threw me off.
I'd say I knew a good amount of them and didn't know a good amount of them. The armor piercing rounds fact was something I was trying to find information on. I knew it worked on enemies and opposing guardians, seeing snipers getting the occasional collateral, but I was most curious about if it worked when some silly teammate decides to jump in my line of fire. Seeing that it indeed goes through teammates, I think I'd value it a lot more now, maybe even more than high cal for the utility. Hate it when random teammates jump in from of my muzzle while I'm in a gunfight.
The impact casing one is such a relief. If you missed it: increases only the impact damage by 10%, resulting in an overall 2% total damage increase. Now I'm not stressing about getting it on my envious BnS Cold Comfort (if it ever actually drops).
For the offensive bulwark one, it also works for roaring flames, so instead of accidentally throwing your hammer off a cliff at x1 roaring flames cuz uncharged melee instead
Idk if you mentioned it in an early video, I haven’t seen them all but there is a sword of crota combo (or any hive sword) light light heavy. Not only it does more damge than heavy heavy heavy. It also uses less ammo. Try it yourself in the crota raid or in the moon in the wave activity lol I forgot the name. It has its own animation as well.
I lost track a little bit (side effect of not writing things down lol oops) but I got somewhere around 49-50 with bonus points! Props for having more than one thing I didn't know! Shame on me for most of them being like before the halfway mark T_T
I missed 6 overall which puts me squarely 1 point away from rank 11. Funnily enough that is exactly how my current guardian rank is because I don’t want to spend hours on a dungeon lol.
Arc souls will also shoot oracles and other similar objects and if it breaks it out of order it wipes you. Ally AI NPC will shoot your stasis crystals.
Usually chance of ammo brick drops is considered to be not cumulative, but timed with the chance staying the same. So, imagine you have like 10% chance of getting an ammo brick after every kill and the chance is always at 10% no matter how many enemies you killed, but if this chance doesn't proc after some time passes - you get a guaranteed brick to drop. And exotic weapons make this chance not 10%, but 15% (I don't know the real values, those numbers are just for example). You can check that just by not killing enemies and waiting. After set amount of time, you'll still get a guaranteed brick to drop from your first kill, even though you didn't kill any enemies before. I don't remember the exact time, but I think Cheese Forever made video about this.
So I nearly spoke about this in my video, in fact it was even in my script but felt too "into the weeds" haha -- what you're describing is a huge misconception in the community around general ammo VS ammo finders VS guardian activity time, and it's pretty complex but I might add it back in if I make a Part 2.
Things may have changed, but at one point, about a year ago, handling also reduced flinch. There was a few videos which compared the same gun with different handling stats and it did effect the amount of flinch when shot.

The bomber one at the start, warlocks benefit from it the most with 25% gain at 2x and I think 15% at 1x the other classes get less from it compared to warlock
well considering i had all right before ridiculous, io was level 11 before i got to the stuff that is hard. There is something i do want to point out to you. You forgot weapon perk Thresh gives you bonus super energy for kills. there is also the Big Ones mod that works on all major and boss spec enemies.
Kickstart mods don't work if you have two charges of what it is focused on. So using it on revenant hunter melee doesn't work unless you quickly use both charges up.
They made the change for grenades when Lightfall launched because it was a common complaint that exotics that gave you 2 charges like Osmiomancy gloves or energy on hit like Contraverse could trigger before the kickstart and stop it from working.
15:32 how if my helmet has Base 76 and Master Work 86. This Helmet is from Vault of endboss Glass but i have the Season 17 Ornament set on my Warlock but unfortunately Not Working on my 90 Stat Master worked Transversis steps.

Solar Titan with Roaring flames active also gives you the ability to create orbs by using your uncharged melee.
I believe Knockout on Arc Titan as well
Yes, this is true with any type of melee that gets a buff that corresponds with that powered melee I.e. combination blow on arc hunter.
1:50 bonus point: if you knew that it was a targeted nerf specifically for stasis warlock with claws of ahamkara, give yourself a point.

So I nearly spoke about this in my video, in fact it was even in my script but felt too "into the weeds" haha -- what you're describing is a huge misconception in the community around general ammo VS ammo finders VS guardian activity time, and it's pretty complex but I might add it back in if I make a Part 2.
@@CastleContent You probably should.
Things may have changed, but at one point, about a year ago, handling also reduced flinch. There was a few videos which compared the same gun with different handling stats and it did effect the amount of flinch when shot.
Flinch is currently reduced by weapon stability and character's resilience (and any unflinching mods and effects you may have).
So many helpful tips!

The sling / dexterety on sword does matter u can attack earlier in animation
7:43 it used to be flat boosted, remember?
The bomber one at the start, warlocks benefit from it the most with 25% gain at 2x and I think 15% at 1x the other classes get less from it compared to warlock
strange that when talking about armor stats you didnt mention plugs and how stuff like armor focusing and ghost armorer mods affect it
That felt too advanced for the video imo. It’s in my draft script ha
well considering i had all right before ridiculous, io was level 11 before i got to the stuff that is hard. There is something i do want to point out to you. You forgot weapon perk Thresh gives you bonus super energy for kills. there is also the Big Ones mod that works on all major and boss spec enemies.
Number 17 - Also side dodges with your sparrow
Good stuff. I learned a lot.
You can also dodge at the last second to prevent fall damage
What about weapon surge mods? Running triple weapon surge mod ne good? Is there a graph on this? Awesome video btw 😆👍
Kickstart mods don't work if you have two charges of what it is focused on. So using it on revenant hunter melee doesn't work unless you quickly use both charges up.
But the thing is it works for double grenades and double class ability. Just not melee. Which is weird.
They made the change for grenades when Lightfall launched because it was a common complaint that exotics that gave you 2 charges like Osmiomancy gloves or energy on hit like Contraverse could trigger before the kickstart and stop it from working.
for tip 47, i wish bungie would make those bars visible. so at least then ammo drops become more predictable
15:32 how if my helmet has Base 76 and Master Work 86. This Helmet is from Vault of endboss Glass but i have the Season 17 Ornament set on my Warlock but unfortunately Not Working on my 90 Stat Master worked Transversis steps.
i for one thought vorpal was a 15% damage buff on primaries, 10% on specials and 5% on heavy
Great video!
