The phrase is just meaningless nonsense to try to make things feel less horrific. I rank it alongside such greats as 'everything happens for a reason' (what you mean like childhood cancer?) or 'there's someone for everyone' (no there isn't).
@@tofueatingwokerati2039 there's nothing new under the sun. These situations are fundamentally the same. Yes there are differences in location, environment etc but fundamentally, none
Lessons will never be learned. From the news items I see and hear (yes, even the bbc!!) suicide bombers and machette wielders are rarely home born Britains? Yet here we are surpassing 40,000 "refugees" arriving illegally by boats, throwing away passports, phones and any other form of ID. So, we dont know who they are for starters and 90%? are young men. Women dont tend to do these kind of crimes. Lessons never learnt.
These children would not have been murdered if their killer was still at home in Libya, they also would be alive if the security guard was not so terrified of being branded a "racist" that he ignored his strong suspicion that the killer had a bomb in his backpack, this was the security guards sworn testimony.
In my long life of 76 years I can't count how many times I've heard " lessons must be learned ". They never are.

Once again POLITICALL CORRECTNES got in the way
Repressive tolerance strikes again
you would have thought that the emergency services would already have such competencies in place? such a tragedy
... ?? thought, it was betrayal from insiders - misplaced trust by then theresa may govt
Its not a case of if it happens again, but when. Then we will hear the dame lessons need to be learnt.
Or...or...
An immigration policy that works?
One of the worst 'TERROR ATTACKS' in British history.
Christmas this year will be very much the same 🔮 I hope I’m wrong but it’s better to say it an save lives than keep it to myself and loose them. 🔮✌️
Ahh a distraction from the migrant crisis. Tut tut
Very compassionate of you.
Good call.
This needn’t have happened.

Sadly not likely.
