Rumours... No names, no pack drill. Said with a smirk. That is precisely why predators were able to circulate freely and indulge in the perversion of child abuse, wrecking the lives of vulnerable victims.
They are mocking the Interviewer by mocking his claims, just sort of claiming, those days where fun times, and the bands and djs were just enjoying themselves, what smug pair.
The BBC seemed to have a culture of looking the other way when well known celebrities were over stepping the mark in sexual propriety. Rumours are in fact allegations, yet the senior heads in the BBC chose not to explore these allegations, which seems to be the whole issue here.
It was an era though of fairly ridiculous rumours. There was the one about Rod Stewart having to have his stomach pumped because he had fellated so many sailors. A variation of that rumour got recycled for Mark Almond. There were other ridiculous rumours about Una Stubbs. Everyone heard the rumours about Jimmy Saville. I remember hearing them as a kid. We all just thought they were jokes.
This is a very bad advert for Grade!! And the other bloke is quirky too!! Before this clip ... I would have said Grade seemed an alright-guy - after this - no way!! No wonder Mr Vile got away with it for soooo long!
Jonny Rotten was talking about the men here when he was saying about Savile, that is why they band his music at the time on bbc, he knew and did not like it
There were rumours, were there? Well I watched a C5 documentary this morning, and two BBC employees witnessed incidents that caused them to suspect Savile. In both cases a more senior BBC employee was informed, and on both occasions the response was "fly low and avoid the rocks if you want to keep your job.".
@@Radagast- Yes I do agree with you -it shouldve been discussed while he was alive but the fact that he had now died & been dead a while -there is no need for people to come forward everywhere or the police searching & creating reams & reams & folders of evidence when he isnt there to answer for his crimes - just a waste of paper
@@sarabrown3821 On the contrary... if there's reasonable circumstantial evidence that there was a cover up, then it should be investigated. And if any conspirators are still alive, then they should be prosecuted.
@@Radagast- in some ways I agree with you to be fair but in others I feel the police & other people involved should close the case now - . Technology's is advanced enough to create s hologram of a character that has died like they did with Les Dawson some years back to mark the anniversary of his death A hologram of him was made doing a stand up show for his family They could create one for Jimmy if they are desperate to find a way for him to answer for his crimes Otherwise they should get on with the task of prosecuting today's criminals

Well spoken !!! I agree with you.
Ah yes. 'There were rumours.' The Esther Rantzen defence.
These 2 are covering up for Savile , If Grade did not know anything then he is a bigger liar than Ester Rantzen ,
That takes some doing .
Why is he smiling as he talks??
That's what I thought also.
Because they knew it was happening I expect
Duping delight believing he's being believed and fooling people. ..
HE'S JUST A HAPPY CHAP.

What's his race or age got to do with anything?
