- News9 meteorologist Lacey Swope and the largest team of storm trackers, track a large tornado on the ground at 9:36p near El Reno, OK on May 19, 2024.
Lacey was FANTASTIC! No nonsense! No show! She was ALL BUSINESS! When lives are at risk, there’s no time for comedy! Great job Lacey❤❤❤
She killed it tonight. I always thought she kind of steered the Payne Train and now we know it. She was excellent.
Absolutely. Gary England to David Payne to Lacey Swope. It's a beautiful circle
She NAILED it!
Agreed it was the absolute best I've ever observed. Made me want warned storms everynight.
can not wait for Lacey to be the official Top Gun...
she in my view already is.❤
Can we all just say thank you for Lacy's calmness and Jeromy's night vision videography to keep people aware and warned. Well done all
Lacy, you did a great job last night, keep up the good work. Thank you to all the storm-spotters, without you all we have are swirly pictures on a screen!
“ NO DOUBT ABOUT IT “ LACEY DID OKLAHOMA PROUD!!
That's the best night footage of a tornado I've ever seen!
Man, best coverage I've seen with footage live. Wish we could do this in Bama. Lacy did an outstanding job also.
That was absolutely fantastic but terrifying, that night vision camera is a game changer!
it wasn't terrifying.
@@lifemarketing9876 I'm sure the people in it's path would disagree with you.
Trust me, it was terrifying.
@@lifemarketing9876says someone that's obviously never been affected by a tornado
Amazing footage & professional response from Lacey, hope no one was hurt - with regards from Australia.
I watch a lot of television coverage of severe weather from different cities, and I have to say that the News9 crew is absolutely head and shoulders above everybody else. Their explanations are clear, and they are plainly knowledgeable. Their integration of observers' information is excellent as is their professional delivery. You only have to watch coverage from other cities/states to see how much better News 9 is.
We watched Lacey Swope and Cassie exclusively last night because they were very, very professional and kept us very well informed. Lacey is an exceptional weathercaster. Calm and professional. Other station weathercasters should be required to watch this and learn.
Gosh, may 19 was scary. Sirens went off, I got a notification saying *tornado warning for your location ⚠️ CRITICAL* it also said critical which means a deadly tornado. I was in the shelter already, it was coming straight for us. But I watched the news checking if it would pass us.. And finally. It passed us thank you Jesus for protecting us❤
Lacy swope is an amazing meteorologist.
Lacey was outstanding!!!
BEST TORNADO TRACKER LADY EVER!
Nice job channel 9! Thanks for the live coverage. Very much appreciated.
Good Job Jeremy and Leslie! Great teamwork 👏🏼
Jeromy got his adrenaline going pretty good there. That might be the closest intercept for Jeromy. I was watching this live and experiencing this storm in Piedmont. I feared for him for a minute
Outstanding work from Jeromy and Lacey.
Crystal clear communication, direction and co-ordination from both in giving an accurate location and direction of the tornado, absolutely superb throughout.
I'm assuming Jeromy was using a night vision camera?.
We were all asleep. Didn't even know there was any weather at all. The sirens went off 5 times here. There was a tornado just a couple miles north of us. We were in that hot cramped shelter for an hour. Luckily my phone works down there. But it all missed us.
Wow, that night vision works pretty well for them night naders. Great coverage.
Lol naders. A 'mater sammich sounds nice.
Home and car insurance in OKC has got to be insane.
I am so afraid for my daughter I have been praying for her all day been watching these tornadoes on Max velocity he's really good on UA-cam a bad tornado went right over where Aurora lives in Hollyrood Kansas to Salina Great bend and all these other little towns that she's around cuz she's an hour and a half from Wichita Kansas all those storms today went right over her and this storm is coming probably towards her tonight or in the morning I don't know I don't even think I'm going to sleep tonight.
The tornado literally started weakening whenever it would start going through the road my cousin lives on. He got super lucky..
“Dead man walking” wow!!! Incredible report!🙏
For as long as that storm went on I was impressed with Lacey but not surprised. We have the best meteorologists in the world. 👏 👏
Awesome footage
I watched this live, I live close by. This was the best night tornado I have ever seen. Every storm chaser needs this night vision. I believe the reason the footage cut out is because the storm chasers flipped their vehicle. I believe they are fine.
Yes she was awesome!
I was watching storm chaser Reed Timmer who was on this storm. Hard to see but the did have night vision on his camera. Wow!!
Watched this live
wish i had me some night scopes.....Incrdible Shot!!!!
Lacey was awesome,
Scary night my grandparents live only a couple miles fron there
Is it me... or did Jeromy not answer ONE direct question?
Training video. They were throwing everything including the kitchen sink. INSANE!
How in the world she pulled that off?
She used to do this for News 6 in Tulsa
Calm down Jeromy…..holy 💩
Love her doing oklahoma weather
Metro Oklahoma City yesterday we got hail
6:40 Multi Vortex
Storm Warn ASMR
Bring back Lacy Tomorrow!
Guys why is most tornadoes in el reno are big ???
I’m confused. Should we be seeing the tornado instead of radar!
Ryan Hall said there wouldn't be any significant tornadoes. I'm confused.
Absolutely. Gary England to David Payne to Lacey Swope. It's a beautiful circle
Ryan Hall is great but he’s not local.
Actually, he did mention that if any supercells develop in Oklahoma, then significant tornadoes could definitely occur. He briefly mentioned it in his video this morning.
Ryan also says to pay attention to your local weather. He is good at what he does but you got too many damn people who depend on him for everything instead of paying attention to local conditions. Especially when there are major outbreaks going on he does not have time to check everybody..
@navblue20 gotta love when people ask in the live chat of storm chasers, "What's happening in Cleveland, Ohio?" When the storms are in Kansas. Or any variation of that question. If they're watching a live stream they obviously have access to many ways to see their local weather.
6:01 “dead man walking”……
It kinda looks like it. The most pronounced one is probably Jarrell F5 1997.
Why is she talking when he is talking?
'"If you can control the weather you can control the world" LBJ
Well, that's impossible. Weather dynamics are to complex and sophisticated for any human being to be able to control.
There's a gigantic hot ball of hydrogen and helium at the center of our solar system 109 times wider than Earth, and 1.3 million Earths could fit inside it.
That's what controls Earths weather dynamics.
Has anybody ever thought that you know that we can control the weather why can't other countries control the weather too so we piss off another country you ever thought that they would send chaotic whether our way 🤔
We can't control the weather; weather dynamics are to complex and sophisticated for any human being to be able to control. I will tell you what controls Earths weather dynamics, but you must keep it a secret.

Has anybody ever wondered what might happen in the heart of Tornado Alley during the peak of tornado season?
Has anybody ever thought that we have too many anxiety ratcheting trolls on social media who will believe and spread any far fetched baseless conspiracy theory like it's gospel, but can't bother to spend five minutes learning a single lick of any actual science?
@@duhdimsIncorrect, look up cloud seeding. You can influence rain at the minimum, and that's the public technology. What do you think has been developed that hasn't been made public? You should be more informed before making comments like that.
@@mikeroch7813You can believe whatever "they" tell you. Also, we still don't fully understand tornadoes and in numerous areas they still remain a mystery.
No one is hiding anything from us something that we still don't yet fully understand.
