I was going to point out your VP error but you caught it 😎 Your dice rolls are just as bad as they were last year 😁(although I only watched that the other day) My die rolls are even worse! My first test game I was drawing 6 enemy Tier 2 Fighters and Heavy AA with regularity, lost 3 aircraft and ended up negative. As msundborg pointed out, you are making things too difficult on ground targets - Hit counters stay when you flip the token. A good playthrough as always - looking forward to the next one. I am currently ready to start Mission 7 of my short British Campaign: 3 pilots Lost, 2 Damaged in Recovery🤐 Although I did gain 1 Skilled and 1 Ace Pilot. With my luck AA will kill 'em ....🙄
Dave, my brother, you need to shit can your dice...lol...Fantastic play thru my friend, fun to watch...I also ordered the game after watching your play of the game.
There was a stretch of 35 dice rolls where a 6 never came up and only 2 5's. What are the odds of 2 numbers out of 6 (1:3) only showing twice in 35 chances and 1 number (1:6) never showing? Probability anyone?
I can see a WWII version of this being a great hit as well; I just might purchase this one; I had been waiting for West Front Ace by Compass Games but this one is priced right (at least right now) and it did indeed seemed fun;
Thats a lot of dice chucking without making a single decision. I have played two missions and yet not a single decision to make...not sure if I could call this a game. Little bit disappointed.
I'm in the same boat; something about the game board and previous videos made me think this was going to be less of the "narrative" solo wargame genre that it's turned out to be.
@@carsons5750 I agree. I have the Hunters, Target for Tonight, Target for Today, and they are decent games. But I would like to have tome tactical decisions to make during the flight (altitude, etc.). Otherwise, its just dice rollin' and chart checkin' ordeal.
@@HuboSki If someone could convert Skies Above Britain/the Reich tactical choices to a WWI setting, they'd get all my money. I personally have no idea how to do that very well, however.
I hear you, Hubert. But I imagine it's difficult to make a solitaire game without a lot of chance. There are a few decisions he's making you're not seeing. But you're right. There's a lot of rolling.
Hits are cumulative. Thus when you flip the ground target counter, the previous hits remain with the target. Great video. Mike
Love your play throughs!
Thanks Dave. I am looking forward to this playthrough. I'm still getting my skies of Britain game ready

Nice play thru! Looking forward to the next one!
thanks Dave... I got this because of your videos... hoping to get this to the table by learning from you... thanks..
Make sure you watch mission 3, because I corrected a couple of things I was doing wrong.
@@davesgamingcave7862 thanks for the heads up... I noticed a few things in the first video so yes I will ... thanks..

LOL! Dice can drive you crazy one day, and then be your best friend the next. What you gonna do?

My type of game, WW I aerial combat excites me.

Yes I'll watch Dave butcher another game.

@@carsons5750 I agree. I want to play the game, rather than the game playing me. With that said, I have been enjoying Skies Above Britain...
