Brief of the Interview
Charbel comes from a Catholic family but grew in a Muslim neighborhood. Many of his friends were Muslims. One day it so happened that his Muslim friends took him to their Imam to and assure his entry into Islam. After he said the initiation prayers he came back home and told his mother what happened. She slapped him and said, go to any Catholic Church that you may be find and spend 5 mins before the Tabernacle. Then if you still want to become a Muslim then go ahead. As a Catholic , I'm very careful when I use the word ,"fasting" in front of my Muslims friends as I know our fasting is not as challenging as theirs . Therefore I make sure that I use the word ,"abstain" rather than 'fast" . The moment we use the word ,'fasting' , Muslims would ridicule us and compare with their type of fasting.
We need not be so shy to use the word 'fasting' before Muslims... for us fasting is not a programme of the Church to show off in front of others; though Church tells us When to fast meditating the Mysteries of Jesus ( the incarnation, passion death and resurrection ). For Muslims its their religion dictates how one should fast and its rigorous. But in Christianity fasting is something the expression of love towards God and the Church gives guidelines to do the minimum... there are Christians who eat one time a day for one whole season of lent... and there are Christians who drink water alone for those fifty days !!! Can you belive it ? So fasting for us is more personal to decide how much one should sacrifice... it's our love towards God we express and God doesn't need our 'rigorous' fasting anymore as a mandatory act demanded by Church .. It doesn't mean that we are free to avoid fasting since it would mean we don't love anymore in that case... we need to love and to express it... and this expression differs from person to person... some in my area (India ) leave sandals during lent...
Learn about Muslims and you will see there is no much room for them to show their degree of love towards God through personal method of fasting where we Christians do have... for Muslims fasting is a rule with guidelines what to do where for us Christians we have all the freedom to show our love the way we want during fasting... and they (Muslims) celebrate sumptuous feast at night of their fasting so it's a day and night programme totally having opposites like black and white...
Do worry about them for them they eat all night until 4 morning and they fast day time, some are sleeping day time, so me an worker in Saudia and I have learn them. They don't pray long as we do, so their practise is different, the more I show is they wash legs all time of pray, coz they don't have baptism
During Ramadan Muslims actually change their eating times.... they eat from Dusk to Dawn instead of the usual Dawn (breakfast) to Dusk( dinner).not really fasting just change of eating times.🖖
I fasted for 25 days just water.

@@SongonFirecatholicIndia looking around. I think catholics have better tools to defend our faith when talking with muslims because Jesus left a Church not a book. Also Catholics created the Bible and decided to had it in one language , the latin Vulgate in 382. I think that Muslims copy in same way catholic idea. Also if you read Epiphanius of Salamis book, Panarion, that has the list of old heresies, you will find some jews sects think the books of the old testament were not correct. I think Mahoma has contact with those groups when starting his religion.

There was no bible for the first 400years, it wasn't until the council of carthage 397ad that the catholic church put the bible together and gave the world the bible. what we had was the oral appstolic tradition and the early church fathers such as clement of rome, ignatius of antioch, justin martyr etc in their writtings before there was a bible you could clearly see how the earliest christians who learned directly from the disciples worshipped, they were all catholic.

You see the bible claims that the church is the FOUNDATION AND PILLAR OF THE TRUTH, not the bible alone, you see the church came first and the church gave us the bible , not the other way around.
Jesus didn't order to write a bible , or leave us with a bible , what he left us with is this,

Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.
Our God jesus purchased a church with his blood not a bible alone. A church, like the one he built on peter , in mathew 16:18-19
18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

The keys to the house of David is a symbol of authority. The key holder, Eliakim, who succeeds Shebnah as master of the palace, is the only one that can open and shut the door.
Matthew 16:19, “And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.”
The keys of the kingdom of heaven is the prophesized keys from Isaiah 22:15-22. St. Peter was given the keys and with these keys he has the authority to bind and loose.)
Even after Jesus had died and resurrected, he came to the disciples and in front of the disciples he singled peter out,

did you notice what Jesus said , that the devil wanted to destroy the disciples , but Jesus said I will pray for you peter alone and you will strengthen the rest of the disciples.

Three to four generations ago, our ancestors, many couldn't even read and those that did only had basic primary education. They believed solely on faith. These people lived simple lives with great faith. I admire them. However like you Charbel, I too need faith and believe a little and seek to understand more. Complete faith is then needed to accept those Great mysteries because if one can fully understand and there's no Mystery...it's not God. God is far beyond our comprehension! I've loved listening to you and you've simplified some things for me. Thank you so much.
In this day and age there's no reason not to know the Truth. The Lord says 'seek and you will find'. We can only one day say to God...'I didn't care to know, my pride stood in the way'.

Being and Person have two fundamental meanings!! that’s why God is “One being” but three persons!!!
this is why we were made as trinitarian beings as organisms to reflect his own image!!!
1) the conscience which filters and decides what goes into our heart, however the conscience is spirit, yet stands as unique representation of who we are as individual
2) the Soul is again an exact representation of who we are as all souls are unique!!! and again exact representation of who we are and of course is the part of us which is immortal
3) the body which houses all three entities and acts as one being yet houses three separate exact entities which are all equal in representing who we are, yet are separate in identity and operation (but are ONE)

Your quaran, says that Jesus made a bird out of clay and blew air into its nostrils and the bird became alive ! Only God can give life, and quaran claims correctly that Jesus is God.

Quaran mentions Jesus is in heaven and he will come again for judgement. There is no mention of Mohammed as to where he is.

In christianity people are baptized only through god, so bible itself naming these 3 together means that they are one! Please as you can see there are many incorrect things being taught to muslims about christ. I urge you to research the bible
