I took the liberty of adding English subtitles to the behind the scenes footage of when BTS had their News interview at KBS on Sep,10,2020. Though they were nervous, they still acted like themselves and made jokes on their way around the KBS building. RM and especially Jin were as funny as ever.
Since they were wearing masks, I edited in colored speech bubbles and assigned it based on their concert Mic colors.
i.e. *Blue= RM
*Pink= Jin
*White(cuz black didn't work)= Suga
*Red= Hobi
*Yellow/gold= Jimin
*Green= Taehyung
*Purple= Jungkook

I can imagine they are nervous. Jimin is so still he almost didn't moved after they came into the studio. And Jhope is trying to cheer and hype the others up. I imagine being in the news is very big for them. It's the interview in their National TV.

Things like these let me remember that they are ordinary humans. Not robots. They can be nervous, shy, anxious, happy, goofy and sometimes even careless with their surroundings (not in a bad way). They can forget that they are indeed superstars. They are down to earth (is that how you say it in english?) and try to keep their humanity. I'm so proud of them!

I don't think taehyung is being shy I've noticed this before it seems like he has anxiety when unknown people shove cameras in his face like one or two are fine but mire than that he seems scared or anxious
Same social anxiety (he was chased down by fans repeatedly) and less patience with BS interviews. He's ok when the interviewer is really interested in them.
they all are very shy n awkward in general...Jin n Hoseok takes the lead n goof around n help in breaking the ice even though they are the most scaredy cats of the group!!😅
also they have the fear that ppl might try to take advantage or get close to them to get fame/info or ruin their reputation...it is sad they have to be always on guard with everyone they meet...

They perform at the biggest venues and were scared of TV station staff! They're so cute I can't stand it.
Yeah.... I know this is what suprised me as well. Bts perform to sold out concerts having audience of 20000+ people. Yet, they were jittery in front of kbs office staff, most of whom were ladies, as we saw, regular fans, craning their necks, peeking out from their cubicle, just eager to catch a glimpse of their favorite handsome super stars. 😎 Im really amazed. Hobi's energy & Yoongi's silence - nothing has changed, they are still each other's complements.
And Gguk walking around as if a boy of 7 let free to wander in a playground - insisting on going in when told they can't go in yet, due to curiosity (and he said he is not a babie) and hyungs calling him back because he is happily getting lost.
I hope BigHit realizes that no matter how dorky & borderline looney BangTan gets - ARMY will still love them - so there really is no need to edit them out. That is exactly what endeared BTS to ARMY, I just hope they let them be more free.
I also hope, Tae get to speak to a professional about his sudden anxiety episode when the crowd got bigger. That must have been due to something that happened fairly recent, because the last time I observed that from him was when they were going around LA inviting people to come to their free concert in AHL. And that anxiety episode is understandable since they were teenagers back then and they are in a foreign country with no Namjoon to translate for them. Make me feel a bit sad for him.
BTS always makes me feel like I want to gather them, bundle them up and just mother the heck out of them, love these dorks for always.

Or do you mean when the Maknae line were promoting their AHL free concert? If that is so, it was because the 3 Maknae were tasked to do that task amongst themselves. So they were on the streets almost all day giving flyers and inviting people to watch the concert, just them 3 & a few camera staff.
Watch AHL on the BTS channel, it is there.

Winter Bear oh no, namjoon was promoting on AHL! however, in the episode OP was referencing, the members were separated into different groups (taehyung was grouped with jungkook and jimin i believe) to promote their free concert. since namjoon wasn’t in taehyung’s group as an ‘interpreter,’ taehyung was somewhat distressed while promoting.

Taehyung has had social anxiety throughout this whole thing, that's why he was acting timid-like..The fact that he clinged onto Jungkook probably means he feels safe or better with Jungkook by his side. I'm not sure, but that's what I think.

I don’t think that was Taehyung being shy. I think it’s anxiety. He looks slightly scared. If you notice, RM puts his hand on his shoulder. He might have a problem with lots of unfamiliarity people close to him. I feel for him.
I dont think tae was shy. I think it was just coz the place is so big n the Camera was in their face. They were super cautious.
I also think that RM put his hands on taes shoulder for another reason. If u see closely, taes both hands on kooki. Just to caution him indirectly, RM often does smthg deliberate like this. Tae then removed one of his hands from. Kookie, so that his touchy feely bit wouldn't look too obvious.

Maybe he has a trauma related fans who so close around him?.. beside during years bts have distance a far with fans . When at the airport theres a manager or bodyguard around them. He may be anxious as seoul is in a huge spike of covid 19,and this may be the first time he and the others are possibly around people outside of their own team. They home hannam on the hill is cut off from the rest of Seoul as it's a gated community and their team have been the same people throughout. I think maybe being around that many unfamiliar people and in smaller corridors may have made him more visibly anxious

Taehyung probably has anxiety when he's surrounded by people he's not familiar with. He knows what ARMYs look like. We scream, smile, show happiness and respectful. But the KBS staffs hid behind cubicles and only used their creepy phones to take pictures of BTS. Taehyung totally don't like it and avoid eye conyacts with them. Poor Tae, he just didn't expect to walk through cubicles full of staffs with cameras.

I think BTS, pretty much all members including Namjoon, were very nervous that day. Even when they were waiting in the newsroom, they looked nervous and quite tense. I think it is bcz the news station is somewhere they are not very used to.
