I know Art is ultimately subjective. However (and I'm not criticising him, just want to help understand), how is it that his art has become so revered? Is it because of his background? If most people or children had drawn these they would not be lauded at all. Please can someone more nuanced in art explain why he's showcased as he is? Thank you.
