Im a new dota player. But I was the highest rank in battlerite so my teamfight micro and reaction is far ahead of everyone under immortal. I've beem spamming riki mid and got to divine in my first 500 games. It's seriously underrated and the backstab makes him untradable for any melee carry. EVEN the bad matchups are not actually bad matchups if you just dodge the spells. You can win lanes against the meta heroes like zeus and lina by sniping their bottle carrier pretty easily since you can just blink their backline and tricks of the trade the courier. I like to put obs behind their t1 at the start of the game. Another thing you can when contesting runes is blinking on the enemy and then using tricks to get infront of them so you can secure both runes. His only major weakness is he is very easy to gank if you get the first kill. Which you basically always will. But just looking at the map and teammates being communicative will help with most of it. Ive been stuck in divine for the past 100 games and I hope I can get to immo still spamming riki mid.
I see from the details that Tricks of the Trade attack damage reduction stacks additively with other sources of reduction, and bane has a 70% reduction, with the 40% from Tricks of the Trade.
Why is he so slow with leveling up skills in the middle of the fight? Literally takes a second and for someone so into min-maxing, it's crazy how he plays through 30 seconds of fighting without taking an important talent or skill upgrade.
that's why I believe he's a much better mid then safelaner if you 1 trick him. He technically counter all the current meta mid heroes like lina/sf/zeus and most of the magic casters. Using the blink as a dodge + the tricks could make any mid trade against the meta mids very strong.

Pretty worthless facet unless you win in early game cause at the end, all heroes have max 30 lvl so in late game that facet is useless
