My favorite memory of Alaska is taking a helicopter up to a glacier and visiting the dogsleds dogs. They’re so beautiful and their fur is so thick!! thanks for sharing another great video
My wife and I being dog people, I would love to see those beautiful pups! I wish my employees were as excited about working as they are! Awesome video guys!
They were absolutely precious! We could have stayed all day! So much energy and excitement for what they do! Thanks for being part of our journey and taking the time to comment!
Having lived in Western Washington for almost 4 decades, I'm familiar with how elusive the really big and spectacular mountains can be to catch a glimpse of. Mt. Rainier hides his heads in the clouds sometimes for months at a time, so when he finally deigns to show himself in all his stunning glory, everyone walks around telling everyone else "Did you see? The Mountain is out!". And I guess it's maybe because Rainier shows himself so rarely that when The Mountain finally is out, the sight never fails to be breathtaking, even for lifelong and long term residents. The PNW has a lot of gray and rainy/cloudy weather it's true, but when the clouds lift and the sun comes out, it makes you remember why you live here and love it so much. I don't know of many places were residents never end of taking the magnificent scenery and landscapes surrounding them for granted over time, but I doubt it happens much in the PNW. Every time I see videos or pics of Washington State, especially Puget Sound, it makes me so very, very homesick.
In 2018 we went to Denali, as part of the cruise...1st and last cruise... we were lucky to see Denali for 3 days in a row. the best view being from the train from Anchorage to Denali, across a lake, cloudless sky, the whole range. the workers on the train were taking pictures saying they had never seen it so out!
I was in Denali 2years ago. watching your video brought back such great memories, going to go back through my photos. We had great weather and got to see Denali, got some great pictures.
We just came back from a 13-day adventure to Alaska. We flew to Fairbanks and went down the Chena River. Took 5 days slowly going down towards Anchorage. Went to a family who raises sled dogs. Went to Denali. Gorgeous 6 million acres! We saw Denali two days in a row! Afterward, we flew to Seattle and got on a cruise for the Inner Passage. We went deep inside Glacier Bay. Amazing. Btw, Denali National Park closed just 3 days after we left for the season.
I love Alaska. We live in So. Calif. We took a cruise in 2005 and had such a great time that we decided to take our RV there in 2019. Fabulous! Best vacation ever. I want to do it again, but hubby is hesitant. Maybe this next time, we’ll fly.
Very cool to see the sled dogs. I used to have a Siberian Husky and he just loved to run! Too bad Denali didn't come out for you, but you had so much beautiful scenery!
Loved this episode so much. We stayed in a cabin in Denali several years ago and it was a wonderful experience. We didn't get to see the mountain either due to weather but we saw so much of the rest of the park (prior to landslide). Those dogs were amazing and I was so emotional watching them work. Enjoy your week.
So glad to hear you enjoyed it so much! And what a cool experience to be able to stay in a cabin in the park! I'm happy that you got to see it before the landslide. Really hope we make it back SOMEDAY when it reopens again! Thanks for watching!
We found another great sled dog training camp in Michigan’s U.P. It’s near Newberry MI and is called MI Dog . Super fun experience and very kid friendly ! Love your videos and have been a follower for a long time ! Hello from Fenton MI ❣️
We live in MI where we have mushers and sled dogs. We took a short ride one winter and it was the most amazing thing! Would love to take a longer trip! So glad you were able to see the pups there!!
We were in Alaska in 2019. They had terrible smoke at Denali NP & never saw it in 4 days. Then we went to the State Park & it rained for two days😢 Never saw it but Alaska is incredible!
So sorry you weren't able to see it when you were there! It is a sneaky mountain! But to you point, Alaska still makes up for when Denali hides! Thanks for taking the time to comment!
Visited Alaska in 2015. So lucky to have seen Denali on several occasions. First time driving a 4x4 down Stampede Trail (think Into the Wild movie and Chris McCandless’ adventure).

Hey Guys! It's been a minute, we talked way back, my hubby and I live in Paso Robles, California, but my older brother lives on the Kenai River in Sterling, Alaska. My brother John lives to fish on the River and in the Ocean, it was fun to see how close you are to him and will be getting closer. Sorry you didn't get a view of Denali, it's a bummer, I went on a tour of Mt. Alyeska and the heavy cloud cover skunked me out of that view too. Have fun, be safe and watch out for the bears. God bless you! Patti
Hey Patti! We can't wait to share our time on the Kenai and doing some fishing in upcoming episodes! What a beautiful place John calls home! Thanks for joining us!
Hopefully you got more out of this episode than that! 😉 We appreciate you patience in getting this video up. Jess had a medical emergency a couple weeks ago that altered our schedule as well as an unexpected death in our extended family. Jess is fully recovered and totally healthy but we have just taken some time as a family to rest. We hope to be able to back to our regular posting now.
Denali is absolutely beautiful. I have friends who live in Alaska. They're moving into their dream cabin this weekend. They lived in a smaller cabin, found this new larger cabin and jumped on it. It's totally off grid, and their view is Denali. If I were ti move again, it would more than likely be to Alaska. Darn, you should have made some concessions and brought your smoker. Hey do they have a more portable smoker?
A cabin in Alaska with a view of Denali??? I'm in! Unfortunately, even with concessions, the smoker was just not able to fit. But there is a new smaller one coming out that we are excited to try soon! Thanks for joining us!
Really appreciate your kind words! They mean a lot and inspire us to keep going. Thank you for joining us on this adventure and taking the time to comment. It means the world to us!
Hey guys love your adventures. I have one recommendation to hit on. Since you've been in the Lineage the audio is harder to hear. I'm sure this is because it's a much larger space around the front occupants versus the Denali. You may want to use an external mic with better noise reduction positioned between you guys because I know wearing them are cumbersome. See ya down the road . ..

So I was thinking your air compressor rattles a lot. Then I realized, your in a Daimler Chrysler van with a Mitsubishi diesel. That's the rattle I thought was a bad compressor.. then they sold it to Mercedes-Benz as a rolling chassis, and then to Grand Design, where it has been built way too heavy. Maybe that's the Grand part comes in. I have not looked at thier product and not found "STUPID ..IT" like a weekend maintenance machanic could improve. I am trying to be nice about the patchwork build. An Appalachian (hill-billy) has SURPASSED! Too many hands in the product To be reliable past warranty. I am thankful you didn't purchase an RV of many colors. I'm positive it is new, and perfect. I also know that it doesn't stay that way, and individual suppliers and different warranty, it will be difficult to own.
We did miss a few weeks of posting due to Jess having a medical emergency a couple weeks ago that altered our schedule as well as an unexpected death in our extended family. I also know that it doesn't stay that way, and individual suppliers and different warranty, it will be difficult to own.

Do the girls like traveling in the class c better than the truck?
Baby seems sort not fitting these purpose driven pulling machines, just an observation from one that has a working dog.
I'm not sure what your mean?
Only trouble makers sit in the back of the bus.
Exactly!!!
I hope to make my way up there some day maybe in the next 2 or 3 years, I also want to do the Arctic ocean in Tuktoyaktuk on the same trip.
Really hope you are able to make it SOMEDAY soon!
See you in 5 weeks....
We did miss a few weeks of posting due to Jess having a medical emergency a couple weeks ago that altered our schedule as well as an unexpected death in our extended family. Jess is fully recovered and totally healthy now, but we have just taken some time as a family to rest. Barring any other unforeseen issue, we hope to be back to our regular weekly posting. Thank you for your understanding.
Family comes first...take care

Now that sounds like work. Did you get some of that hurricane 🌀?
@@terryderush2657 We sure did. The building did OK but the swimming pool is filled with sand and the streets are still flooded. We are just south of the direct hit this time. Wasn't so lucky with IAN though. We took a direct hit with that one...
The Nickersons need a dog :) Upvote to agree! Maybe enough votes they got one!
Dogs are difficult in national parks. They aren't allowed on trails. Also leaving a pet in an RV can be dangerous.
We would absolutely love to have a dog but Leila and I (Jess) are very allergic. We both have to take medication when we are with furry critters, but they are always worth it! We would just never be able to have the hair and dander in our home. We are even allergic to most hypoallergenic dogs unfortunately. It is also their saliva. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment!
@@luminousveiws We totally agree. It is a very big decision to travel full time with pets and needs to be considered carefully for their safety and quality of life.
