    My brother just received Christ about 9 months ago. He died 2 weeks ago. Our last conversation was filled with Praise to God, Thankfulness, and bittersweet, but Joyful tears. He had an almost Palpable Peace and was looking forward to leaving this world and his pain racked body, and being with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I said, "I'm not saying goodbye, I'm saying, I'll see you soon"! He said, " Yep, I'll see you soon "! Jesus Christ is risen and ALIVE! THAT'S the difference between EVERY other "Religion", and TRUE Christianity. It is a Genuine RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST!

    • @melthomas6519

      Danny Qin Sometimes it happens that way though. Everyone’s testimony is different. Some people are going to have so called “crazy back stories” because that’s the life they had, some due to no fault of their own. People have been molested, raped, watched parents murdered, been selling drugs at as young as 8 years old because their parents put them out there, grew up in foster care so had to fend for themselves and sibling at 13 years old so had to sell drugs because too young to get a job and needed to survive, beaten and abused, Etc! So it would be nice if it was that cut and dry, but it’s not. Luke 7:42-43:
      40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
      41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
      42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
      43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
      Some people like myself have those kinds of stories (mine were none of the above - I graduated from college at 22, worked , no clubs, bars, fee friends, however I was wicked in my heart and didn’t realize how dirty I was. Full of pride, fornicating, including sex with other women , etc. I got saved and was sooooo on fire for God. My cousin who says she was saved at 7, and who
      Took me to the church where I got saved was not on fire for God. She was a virgin when she married, never touched alcohol in her life, obedient to parents. So wholesome and perfect. So when I got saved I had did so much that I loved God so much because he had forgiven me for so much . She doesn’t really have a testimony. And we overcome the devil by the word of our testimony. I’m
      Not saying go out and do crazy stuff for a testimony cause that’s just dumb 😂😂😂. I wish everyone testimony was like rays because that would save people a lot of heart ache, but IJS it’s rare and it’s ok if it’s not like his. It’s not how we start - but finish.

      Agreed... thats the truth. Each of us need to stand in our testimony. Because irregardless of what we face, each of us MUST go before the gathe5r and give an account. Hard life or not.
      Its not a competition of whose had it worse ( which i used to feel because my testimony didnt always feel dramatic and dark).
      If one dies lost and without christ.. thats a tragedy. All that living on earth... and missing the creator.... thats a truly saddening testimony or account of someones life.

    I was lost for many years, falsely believing "I'm a good guy. I'll be fine." Pretending God did not mind, so that I could continue down my destructive path. He did mind, though, and thankfully did not give up on me. God will get our attention when He decides to do it, and it is wise to not ignore Him. I ignored Him for a long time. I am so thankful He did not give up on me. We will never be perfect. That's where the cross intervenes for us. God wants a relationship. He deserves it. Repent brothers and sisters, and allow Jesus into your hearts. As Billy Graham once said, "I've never known a man who came to Christ and ever regretted it."

    Being of salt and light, a Christian, is certainly not easy. My family and friends look and treat me differently. Sin, is a everyday struggle and the great escape that you hope and pray to divide from, to divorce. So that you might marry the bride. I hate this flesh. This life is most depressing and unsatisfying. I put all my hope in you Jesus. I wait humbly to be united with you in the kingdom of heaven.

    Every time I hear Ray's testimony tears well up in my eyes because that was me - As a young boy growing up in Orange, California I thought to myself, "My thoughts are my own and nobody knows what I'm thinking." Then, much later in life when I read Jesus' words regarding adultery of the heart, I was undone in my spirit and knew that I was on my way to eternal judgment and I needed saving. I repented of my sin with godly sorrow and trusted in Christ completely. Thank God for His Word that will never pass away. My heart is so encouraged when I read God's Word, and memorize and recite those words. Psalm 119:11 Your word I have hidden in my heart,
    that I might not sin against You.

      2 Corinthians 5:17
      Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
      Isaiah 65:16
      “Because he who is blessed in the earth
      Will be blessed by the God of truth;
      And he who swears in the earth
      Will swear by the God of truth;
      Because the former troubles are forgotten,
      And because they are hidden from My sight!
      Galatians 4:3-5
      So also we, while we were children, were held in bondage under the elemental things of the world. But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
      Colossians 1:13-14
      For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
      Isaiah 43:18
      “Do not call to mind the former things,
      Or ponder things of the past.
      Philippians 3:13-14
      Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

      Brother Ray Comfort and Living Waters ministry videos teaching biblical context. AMEN 🙏 ❤️. Atheism ain't got nothing new or better to offer than the very religious beliefs it's critical of so it's hypocrisy at it's finest 😂. Hello this is for all you Atheists, unbelievers and skeptics. I'm going to address a few misconceptions and lies about God's Character and His Word. The Bible doesn't support chattel slavery or anything else Immoral. Ok so Atheists and unbelievers say God is either Immoral, incompetent or not responsible so let's see what The Scriptures actually say. God revealed himself and created a nation in a real, historical context. It was a world with a slave-based economy, with city states often at war with each other, with polygamous marriages to ensure the continuation of family lines. The laws of the Old Testament regulate this behaviour. Slaves are to be treated humanely (Exodus 21:11). They are given rights and not seen as mere possessions. Hebrew slaves were able to buy their own freedom. Human trafficking is condemned (Exodus 21:16). In contrast to the law code of Babylon, Old Testament Israel was a light to the nations. The Old Testament law and narratives do not stand alone. Jesus is now the best example of what we read. So the moral teaching of the Bible cannot be summarised by a quote taken out of context from the Old Testament to demonize God and His Word. Slavery was permitted in Old Testament law but it was regulated by God giving the Israelites instructions on how to fairly and humanely treat their slaves (it was like indentured servitude where someone could work for you if they owed debts or needed income not cruel like chattel slavery). God allowed the people of Israel to own slaves since they themselves has already experienced over 400 years of generations of Egyptian slavery and knew how inhumane it was to be beaten, overworked and taxed so God set them apart from other nations and cultures around them by giving them a fair way to treat their slaves since slavery had already existed in the world but it doesn't mean God condoned it just used it for His Will to bring Good And in the light of the whole scriptural teaching, we find the reasons for its ultimate abolition (Ephesians 6:9; Colossians 4:1-3; Philemon 15-16 and Galatians 3:28). The Word of God provided the moral standard against slavery in the Roman Empire and against the slave trade in the New World.
      But what of genocide or holy war in the book of Joshua? Several things could be pointed out. The use of warfare in the ancient world did not always mean literal total destruction, even when events are described in such terms. Furthermore, the book of Joshua does not describe a genocide. It is not a race who are being wiped out, as in genocide, but a religious practice which was often appalling and degrading. Those who repent (like Rahab from Jericho or Ruth) are not destroyed but become part of Israel. It is not the racial group that is in view but their "detestable practices".
      However, after all is said, we must still acknowledge that God brought judgment on the nations of Canaan. It is not our place as believers isn't to sugar-coat the Bible. For some skeptics, this is enough to make God a moral monster. But the fact is that Jesus continued to affirm that God is a Judge who will bring a future judgment on all peoples and all nations. God’s judgment will be just. The list of Old Testament stories rejected by critics often leads to a similar dismissal of the New Testament teaching of Jesus on the existence of hell.
      After all, what was the Flood of Genesis or the conquest of Joshua if not a glimpse of future judgment? Hell does not demonstrate cruelty on God’s part, but it does demonstrate His Holiness and our moral accountability. Perhaps this is the real reason many people rail against the God of the Bible? It is not that they think He is a moral monster, but that they are afraid He is a moral Judge, and that has implications for our behaviour now. God is an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being and we as His creatures have Eternal souls and spirits so the punishment for our sins against Him must therefore also be Eternal but so must the reward for righteousness that's why He sent His Son Jesus to live a perfectly righteous and sinless Life (which none of us could ever possibly expect to do) suffer the humiliating and torturous death of crucifixion to shed His Own Blood willingly so that all who willingly accept His gift of salvation by grace through faith in Him will be saved and given Eternal life because that's what God wants is for us to willingly accept His gift of salvation and choose life. Exodus 21:20-21 literally speaks about capital punishment befalling anyone who mistreats their slaves so yes people are taking Scripture out of context to demonize God who literally promises that slaves who are mistreated under someone else's authority is to be avenged. When we hear the word “slavery” we think of innocent human beings, kept prisoner for life, having no rights under law and so reduced to animals. This is clearly immoral because it is unjust: the slave has done nothing to deserve the treatment.
      The situation described as “slavery” in the Bible was nothing like this. It is more accurately described as one of indentured servitude. Many “slaves” were indentured servants, working for a term of years
      Some other “slaves” were prisoners. There were no prisons. Prisoners had to work to live like everyone else. Some had life sentences. Some served a term and were released.
      People didn't beat their good slaves but treated them well and protected their assets thus.
      But no matter how rebellious a slave was, you couldn't just beat them to death. And if you knocked out their tooth or damaged their eye then you had to set them free. (Exodus 21:26). God wasn't using what other nations did because He wanted to set His Chosen People of Israel apart from the cruel, inhumane and unjust systems other cultures had so He gave them a fair way to treat their slaves and servants.
      There is a lot of ignorance on this topic which is understandable given the age we live in but it's not the nefarious set up we think of when we think of modern slavery. The question Atheists must ask themselves is how come the Jews aren't being accused of slavery and human trafficking if they're guilty of it in The Bible and why would white slave owners rip out pages from The Old and New Testament Scriptures to justify their owning blacks as slaves if The Bible already justified slavery?

      Make sure you are not self deceived. I was for 20 years. Trusting in what I knew rather than who I knew... knowing Jesus! Jesus said to believe in God, believe also in Him...why? Because He is God! Have you ever asked for Jesus to give you His Spirit? No one can EVER do the Christian Life without His Holy Spirit living inside of them. If you think you are a Christian and have never asked Him to give you His power to do it, then it's nothing more than pride and self deceit. Jesus said that if you ask Him for the Holy Spirit, He WILL give it to you! The Spirit is love, joy, peace and the evidence of our salvation! It is how we KNOW we are saved. Please examine yourself and ask God to show you if you are not truly forgiven for your sins through His death and resurrection. It is by His grace and nothing else, not even our upbringing, that saves us. It's all glory to Jesus!

      I think he also shared that, because the main reason nonbelievers say they don't go to church because it's so boring. Churches need to take this into account. Surely, some of this reported boredom is because the Word isn't alive to them. But mostly it's because so many pastors are not alive themselves...properly conveying the excitement of being saved and living in the kingdom...not through gimmicks or hype, but by shining brightly and not being dull.

      thenowchurch I don't think you understand PineCreek's comment. The only reason Jesus came is because there is a hell, otherwise why did He go to the cross. Jesus earthly mission only makes sense because there is indeed a hell and without Him we are all destined for it.

    • @zachcoppesshotmailcom
      @zachcoppesshotmailcom 3 роки тому +1

      Hell makes sense of the cross because without Jesus, Hell is the only alternative. If Christianity is true, it’s not a case of “I didn’t ask to be created, and now that I am, and reject your God, I will be tortured for eternity?” The scenario is that you are created and desire it. You didn’t ask for it? Of course you did & do everyday! Every time you watch pornography, do drugs, have sex outside of marriage, and in other words, sin, you make a choice, not as a result of why you were created, but opt instead for your deviation from that purpose. God knew those who choose would decide on Hell, and He doesn’t send anyone there. They choose it. Heaven would be Hell for someone who hates God because they want to serve their own selves; after all, they prove it after spending their entire lives running away from Him. In the end, He loves you too much to force you into His presence. It’s either one of two choices you have, but the good work was never in your hands; if Christianity is true, bypassing apologetics for the Bible in this particular comment, simply IF it’s true, it says that if you seek God, you will find Him. So, please understand that you are created for a purpose, and it’s to know God & be privileged with the exciting but God-sovereign act to make Him known through your life and thrive together in His family of “Christians,” the adopted children who asked for a Father & Home. Regardless of the evidence, why wouldn’t you want Christianity to be true? Hell is torture of our own device; it’s only locked from the inside. We assume nobody wants to go there and all want to go to Heaven, but the eternal torment is that of a soul created in the image of God that He sovereignty provided every necessary opportunity for them to repent & receive grace, but they altogether vowed, “I will never accept you.”

    Thank you for sharing your past Ray, it is quite a thing when you get born again I remember I had such a profound sense of joy when God granted me repentance unto life back in December 2018. Before then I saw my sins and become convicted by the Holy Ghost after discovering I needed to be convicted of my sin and come guilty before God so that I may receive pardon through Christ, I have since done a lot of repenting while struggling against sin I have come to be convinced that I am truly born again after learning to people who are lost sin is just normal to them, and on top of that there is no warring with their members at all. Now thanks be to God I am heading in the right direction and sin is now starting to lose its power on me, I remember very well that our Lord Jesus Christ went through so many horrible things just to free sinners like us from the error of our ways. I even identify with brother in Christ Paul the apostle with calling myself chief of sinners, remembering what he wrote being moved by the Holy Ghost writing 1 Timothy 1:15. And God really is close to the brokenhearted I know what it is like to be brokenhearted after I was literally and emotionally shattered by the loss of the family I grew up in for 25 years after I was adopted by them following a divorce in the family I was born into when I was just 2 years old they were originally my grandparents before I lived with them 25 years later I lost both of them to dying my mom was the first to go dying on September 20 2017 and my dad died the next day on the 21 of September that same year, I was never the same after for a while I still abided in sin, and eventually I started to get interested in the gospel of Christ. And was at first deceived by a watered down gospel of the word called antinomianism and had a head knowledge at first that came to change after I discovered that critical piece of information of the need to be convicted of sin which is a necessary step to take in repentance to receive pardon along with 2 other steps of being awakened to your lost condition and see yourself as a poor helpless sinner guilty and condemned in the eyes of the Holy God who created you, that I always now believe when the sinner takes those steps in repentance after the holy law of God exposes them to the truth is to get them to take that leap of faith and receive Christ Jesus and latch on to Him to be justified and be made righteous by His righteousness being imputed to them. I also believe when that is said and done when the law of God comes it is to get the awakened sinner to deny self and take up their cross and follow Christ all the way to Calvary and have all of their sins blotted out and washed away by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, allowing the sinner to have the strength to repent of sin and turn away from their sins and bring forth fruits meet for repentance. While I am not absolutely perfect yet I am glad God has given me the strength to be able to turn away from my iniquities, I am also now understanding the Holy Scriptures now which after this long growth process of repentance and faith, and the lessons I have learned since everything, it really is true that if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away all things have become new. I have practically grown sick tired and fed up with sin.

      Amen Tony. When I got saved my heart broke for the things that break God's heart. The song Hosanna God really used big time! Lyrics: "Heal my heart and make it clean, open up my eyes to the things unseen, show me how to love the way You love me, break my heart for what breaks Yours, everything I am for Your kingdom's cause, as I walk from Earth into Eternity." Amen! Still and Forever! 📖 ⛪

    • @marjieyoung9570
      @marjieyoung9570 4 роки тому +1

      Well said Tony. It seems antinomianism is a plague these days, perhaps partly in answer to legalism, perhaps partly due to wanting to 'have cake and eat it too.' Without a broken and contrite heart we can't actually come to the cross with empty hands fully relying and trusting in the completed work of Jesus on the cross for our salvation. Without repentance we can't hate sin the way God hates sin and be grieved when we sin against our Father, nor can we see how incredibly precious 2 Corinthians 5:21 truly is until we stop excusing ourselves or patting ourselves on the back for our "good deeds," and confess our sins and need for a Savior. I'll never forget the moment I was broken and utterly grieved before God for my sins against Him. This is significant because I was born and raised in a Christian household and had committed "lesser sins," so to speak and although I knew I was a sinner and needed a Savior, I didn't realize I had been, in a way, proud of my "clean" track record. Until one day our merciful Father showed me I'm not as clean as I thought I was. We can't see how precious the blood of Christ is until we see how defiled we are. And yet He loved us anyway and sent His Son. Why me? Why us? Amazing grace. It is so refreshing to see the humble heart of a brother in Christ. Thank you for sharing.
      Luke 18:
      9 Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men-extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ 13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

    • @tonyshumway7652
      @tonyshumway7652 4 роки тому +1

      @@marjieyoung9570 Yep antinomianism certainly is a plague Marjie, along with legalism both of them are both wrong. You are right Marjie we cannot fully trust and rely on the finished work of Christ on the cross for salvation, without a broken and contrite heart. I admit the things that I went through since the tragedy of losing my mom and dad that drove me the cross of Christ, they were some of the worst things I ever went through including what I went through all of 2019, it really is Amazing Grace indeed that the LORD God Almighty Himself would have mercy on sinners like us. Your welcome glad to share this with you, it is a powerful testimony when I think about it glad our Heavenly Father showed you the truth, it is true we are not clean before we are converted by God. What we are before God gives us the new birth we are 100 percent a child of the devil and enemy of God and an enemy of all righteousness. I remember by December 11 2018 just how scared I was knowing what would have happened to me, if I did not get born again and God alone can give that new birth. I also firmly believe that if you are born again you are going to do far more repenting than you ever did and of course you will continuing believing having faith in God, and in our Lord Jesus Christ. In the end thanks be to God that He laid us low, and humbled us.

      @@tonyshumway7652 Amen. It's an on-going process of sanctification. God is faithful and we know it is He who keeps us and sanctifies us, both initially and progressively. I once heard a pastor say it was a mercy of God that He reveals to us our sins over time because it would be so incredibly painful to become fully aware of our sins all at once. We become more Christ-like throughout our Christian walk until we are glorified in Heaven and no longer live in these fallen bodies. At the same time we are justified by the blood of Jesus as His righteousness is credited to us and our sins were nailed to the cross with Him. Until then we continually repent as we sin, though we do not wish to sin, and we are shown sin in our lives by God we weren't even aware of. We look forward to that day we will be with our Father.

I also believe now we who are born again, can have Jesus Christ as everything He is to the regenerate believer Savior, Lord, King, High Priest, Judge, Creator, Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, the Light of the world, and everything else especially the Good Shepherd.
