I completely agree with your stance on this, if you say the Lord will come on the 13th, where will your faith go on the 14th? Will it be gone? Be ready to leave at any time, but do not speculate, as you may begin to think the Lord may not come at all. All of these dates are made by MEN. The Lord will come when it is the proper time in HIS sight, not mans.

The Rapture, as beautiful as it is, is not a substitute for the price our Lord paid for our salvation. He came and defeated death. Our Lord can call any one of us at any time, it isn't only at the hour of the end. We've lived under the shadow of Death and Armageddon our entire lives, it becomes something to fear, but why fear if we are committed to the Lord? Our only task is to prepare for our departure. It is only those that have grown lazy that need the reminder through fear: fear is actually a great motivator to humble a boastful man.
Date setting is futile as there are signs preceding our rapture. There's a video that explains these signs on a new channel called, Romans to Revelation. I think it's part 4 or 5.

The Lord has not given a specific date, but REPENT AND PREPARE, 3 days of darkness, and then the rapture, be obedient, put your faith into action, lip service aka just saying you believe in Jesus won’t save you, God says “OBEY”
I wish people would stop fear mongering. God is sovereign above everything Im not submitting to somebody else's ideas of what they think about something. Our lives are in God's hands we should only be trusting God not people. Whatever happens is going to happen on an individual basis meaning all of this doesn't matter. If God chooses to take you away from the world your going to go if your not you will stay its not up to us anymore. God is in charge of our lives.
There is no where in scripture that teaches we will leave before the tribulation happens. Jesus tells us specifically the signs to look for concerning His return in Matthew 24 and if you skip down to verses 29 through 30, He tells us that He will return immediately after the tribulation.
