In the region, there are two Punjab, a State of Punjab in India and a Province of Punjab in Pakistan. Historically, it is a united region with unique culture, tradition, language, history but the British Empire splited the region into East Punjab became a part of India and West Punjab became a part of Pakistan. Total population of Punjab region is approx. 200M.

Yes, population is never a problem . Problem arises when there is a population explosion where the country fails to give basic infrastructure , healthcare and education. Human resource is the greatest wealth a country could have but the problem is that the government fails to develop it effectively leading to poverty ( but it can be easily eradicated by good governance).

Sri Lanka's population should have been reduced to 11 million people at the end of this video. Also, something that isn't about population, from the beginning of this video (year 1950) until December 1971, Bangladesh was part as Pakistan known as "East Pakistan" so during that time you could have added Bangladesh to Pakistan before it got independence.
