Rosé wrote this song a couple of years ago. Rosé solos are 100% Rosé which is why her sound sounds the furthest from a regular Blackpink song/beat. The other girls are very beautiful and trendy but I always say Rosé is TIMELESS! 🌹🖤💕
Yes, I love all the Rosé appreciation, she definitely deserves it!! I guess it's because of her growing up in Australia, but she felt that these songs were meant to be in English - obviously that also helps with catering to a "mainstream" Western audience,,,YG should definitely give her more creative freedom to release more music because from these solo's it's clear that she knows what's best for herself musically (and visually). Thanks for the reaction, I'm really thankful that you gave Rosé's music a chance :))))
I also found recently that blackpink have been highly participating on writing songs but the company has never credited them for it. Rose, Lisa and jennie wrote their solos and it was revealed in some koreans charts. I hope the company gets better

what that’s a fake enfo. Only rosé and Jennie who helped to compose and Jennie produce and also choreographed her dance break. While lisa also i think choreographed only on chorus on lalisa bit she didn’t participate in writing they also posted credits which lisa isn’t in it☺️ (Just saying the truth don’t spread lies also)

I feel like people need to keep in mind that Blackpink have been SUPER successful ever since they debuted and after every comeback the anticipation for the next has been A LOT compared to other groups during the 3rd gen girl groups era, and I feel like the girls haven’t had enough time to kind of process that, like everything happened so fast with them I feel like people haven’t kind of processed like how BIG Blackpink is and that’s why I think they’re very picky when putting more music out there because it might be a risk for the company? Idk but if you see their journey by watching their documentary on netflix I kind of understand and especially with the scandals of YG company that have happened the past couple of years I’m sure that’s why the company was on hold with their groups activities, I mean TREASURE literally debuted a year and a half late so it was just a hard couple of years for all the artists under YG.

Rosé only have these two songs and God knows when we're gonna get another, Rosé is so talented and I don't think blackpink's songs showcase her full potential, so I'm really happy you got to see her work and this side of her as she was involved in everything that got to do with her album "R", the writing, the concepts, the styling, the photos, everything, and she said that she enjoyed every second of it, so I'm so happy you enjoyed and appreciated her work💜 and even though we don't have any other songs from her, we still have covers, she did a lot of covers for her fans, and I would really be happy if you checked some of those covers especially the covers she performed live at the "sea of hope" show! I think it would make a good video of you reacting to those covers, I really think you would enjoy them..💜

for the record, some was inspired by rosé's concept 100% and not the other way around. We should give credits where credits are due
Actually a lot of Korean idols and artists wants to work with YG. They give the highest percentage to their artist when it comes to sharing. In fact, HYBE followed YG's way of giving freedom to artists and big share. Just saying.
YG is a public listed company, remember K-Pop is a $10 billion industry and they will always put the share holders first. That being said the continued success of the girls individually and the group as a whole is a large portion of YG revenue. I guess we wont know until next year when their contracts are up for renewal whether the Girls are happy with the direction the company is going, remember YG currently get are larger cut of the Girls endeavours than they will next contract.

I mean english his her mother tongue so for me it was expected she would release songs in english it was the most logical choice. I usually don’t really like idols tappin in the American market because I feel like k pop or Korean artists sometimes looses their charm/ uniqueness doing so but this song couldn’t totally make it on the American/ western market

The girls anticipate in the writing process yg sadly never credited them! Especially Jennie! She’s been writing since trainee days she’s a MAIN RAPPER and her potential is being wasted cause of yg! Jennie wrote sure thing and so hot verses she wrote stay and solo both versions she wrote lsg and this is the first time she got her credits as a writer composer and producer! And there’s probably more but we don’t know yet
