Dammit Craig...... damn you....... now I need to go out and by split coin gimmicks, cube in bottle, and cube wall sets..... ugh...... so much for sending my daughter to college.....
Cube in bottle looks great👍 ...At around 2:10 you mention that you "actually see" the cube go into the bottle. Is there a visual handling taught that doesn't require a bag for cover?
I honestly think that, for Ryland (let alone anyone else) to perform the cube-in-bottle, with his size hands (which does matter, if you think about it), so near-flawlessly, is just incredible. Just like his dad once was, he is on the path to being a true kick-a** magician. No doubt. That presentation, at his age, was nothing short of “special”. I’ve worked with many young aspiring magicians, and few, but few, would have the confidence, patter, and physical dexterity to do it so well... “And mommy’s iPad.... I loved playing on that, until she changed the code......” 😂😂😂 . Craig, you must be a well-chuffed dad!
I am so happy you like my coffee lid routine and idea:) I came up with the impromptu chop idea when I was creating material for my 2020 lecture tour. Showed greg and he went gaga over it.
Mate I was speaking to Greg the other day and we were talking about it. That was my favourite part of the project. Best chop cup EVER!! You are awesome.
@@magic-tv it seems to be very popular now;) Thanks man! I have a totally different routine with it using a silver brass transpo with 3 kickers at the end. It will be in the coin creations folder.
Hi Craig just wondering how durable is the cube in bottle gimmick? As in, the Rubik’s cube that you put into the bag. Is it made of cardboard or metal or plastic? I’m just worried that after squashing it so many times it would lose its structure etc
I solve real cube from genuine spectator scramble position in 15 to 20 secs so I don't like the 3 or 4 move fake scramble solves. It detracts from my genuine solving ability. But I like this effect. I think it would play big. I would like to be able to solve the cube from a spectator scramble and then do this effect with the solved cube. But I don't think that would work directly. It would require a cube switch. A pocket switch would work. So my presentation would be: 1. Spectator or spectators examine and scrambles cube. 2. I solve in 20 secs which looks magical anyway. 3. In introducing bag, I switch solved cube for gimmick. 4. Then I present cube in bottle effect as shown. By the way, if you want to know how to put a cube into jar, there is a tutorial on You Tube. You can make your own refills if you want to give it away.
I've got to say i totally agree that everyone of these effects are awesome. I've got the Daryl version of Princess Card trick and this one is such a great improvement on that you can see the whole cards during the reveal of the performance without a switch out 👐♣️♥️♠️♦️
I’ve had to stop after the first two tricks because I’m going to go into the red lmfao. You two guy’s are fantastic, please keep these reviews coming!!! 👍🪄
Hey Craig I think you should review the Melero rings with Ryland but also do a how’s and why of linking rings as a whole on magic stuff. That’ll make for some great content
Hey Craig, thank you so much for all the time and passion you spend to produce this great reviews for us.I love rubiks cube magic and this cube in bottle routine looks like a perfect final for my act. I still have one question. Is there a way to use the cube before it goes into the bottle for other cube effects or need it a switch? In case it needs a switch is there a logical way into henrys cube in bottle routine? I would appreciate your answer. Have a great day! Tobi (Sorry for my bad english)
Hi Craig - really enjoy the dynamic duo of you and Ryland. Given Ryland's experience is probably ahead of mine (as a re-emerging hobbyist)... if you were me and had to invest in one coin set at the outset - would you go with a nice gravity flipper/shell setup or Split Focus? Thanks and keep up the amazing content.
I agree that a signed version is NOT at all needed. However, it would be pretty cool if you could order a signed version where "Your" initials are on one of the sides! Only because it is obvious that you can sign it while top is facing, well...., the top.
I really feel people are trying to upsell Cube in bottle because nobody ever talks about the negative. Nobody tries to even address the questions people really want to know for example can the cube be examined before the routine? Can the bottle be examined before the act? Can the bag be examined before and after the act? People say there is no negative to this trick but even in the Rubik’s dream group chat I’ve asked these questions and no one answers them. As a review Chanel I thought you’d talk about these issues.
I’ll try to answer your questions. But allow me to be clear. I upsell NOTHING. I am happy to rip into a product if it deserves it. This routine is as close to perfect as you are going to get. Please do not bring my ethics into question because you don’t agree with my opinion. 1. The cube cannot be examined before the trick. It’s totally not an issue. No body is suspicious of the bottle at that point. Afterwards they can examine it and at that point they can. 2. In the handling Ryland performed which is the basic handling the bag cannot be examined before or after. But again that’s not an issue. Anyone that has performed a Nelson Vanishing Bottle will tell you when a bag is crushed up there is no heat on the bag. To think otherwise is thinking like a magician. There are handlings on the download where the bag is introduced in the middle of the act and the impression is that the bag can be examined. But I think this is running without being chased. At the end when the cube goes in the bottle that’s all anyone wants to look at and everything else doesn’t matter. Does that help?
@@magic-tv Craig how is it not up sell when you gave it more than 100% when now you reply with some negative points but not in the review? Now for YOU there not “negative” points but they are. If you get offended with my first statement, all I asked was for the truth and full review of this product. If you don’t see what I see that’s fine but I won’t sit back and pretend that it doesn’t seem like upsell when it does.
A product can have negatives and still get over 100%. If you think the ‘issues’ you are bringing up mean that the product should get a lower mark then you don’t have the experience as a performer to know better. The way the routine is constructed means the negatives are not a problem at all. IMO I this is the best trick of 2020. This is an honest review but from your comments I can see you are a very inexperienced performer that doesn’t know better.

Miguel. How much experience have you got at performing? I’m not making cheap shots. It just appears to me that the type of questions you are asking suggest to me you are very inexperienced. I was interested in the 'empty' bag. It looked like it still had a cube in it when Ryland tried to squash it to me. We can't see what's inside the bag at the start of the trick, right?
I don't have the effect, but I would guess there is still a glass jar in there. The original cube shown either collapse into or shells over the jar, so you only have one object left in the bag which you conceal in the crushed bag ball.

What’s the justification for the bag and why you’re putting a cube in a bottle? I don’t care for tricks with handkerchiefs since you are usually using the prop because you have to hide the dirty work. Without a really good reason for the bag, I think this trick suffers from the same sort of problem. I hope there’s a routine where the bag isn’t needed. The other question is why are you sticking a cube in a bottle in the first place? It’d be great if the bottle was introduced early in the routine, maybe to hold a bunch of broken pieces of a cube, then restore the pieces into a working cube, do a routine with it, then stick the cube in the bottle. Hopefully a routine like that is possible, though it sounds like there’d be problems if the cube can’t be inspected.
I’ll take your last question first. Regarding why are you putting a cube in a bottle I don’t think everything needed to be justified in magic. When I am hired as a magician I am hired for my ability to do crazy things that people don’t expect. I don’t think I need to justify everything. Yes you could develop a justification but I don’t think it’s needed. Also several of the handlings are done at the beginning of the end of a cube routine and the cube has been examined and handled throughout by the spectator. So if that helps your justification process then fair enough Regarding the bag a simple justification would be you are going to try something that could cause glass to shatter everywhere so I’ll put it in the bag so that if it goes wrong we contain the mess. I think the fact that you are using the bag to carry the props is good enough. Inside this bag I have a couple of things. Let me show you something. Does that make sense?
Thanks for the comment but next time can you please leave your ego at home. Ryland has more chops than most magicians I know already. How do we purchase Rubik Wall?
I believe Murphy’s Magic will be carrying it.
It’s projected to be widely released in May or June. Which means it will probably be August or September. 😃
What could stop someone from just buying a refill jar and an ordinary rubics cube? Is the cube gimmicked?
You would know the secret and wouldn’t have the two gimmicks you need to do the trick. Other than that you would be fine.
Love SPlit focus - does it come in £2 UK coins?
The princess card trick was created by Henry Hardin in the late 1800's early 1900's with ungimmicked cards definently not Daryl.
