I used to listen to all her songs, especially shared them with my brother...he passed away last december 6th, 2020 his battle with depression got the best of him and hid his intentions behind his suicide.... I miss him everyday, as we used to talk a lot...

I downloaded “Hometown Glory” when it was the FREE single off the week offered on iTunes in 2007/2008. One listen to her voice I was telling my friends in NY, “You have to listen to this new girl.” Who knew that she’d be one of the most celebrated voices of our generation.
I've also always thought it was pretty interesting, the sound of how she structures the following two lyrics. She had the balls to make it sort of disjointed and contradictory, also in a more conventional pop song they would've had the last word of that section not end as early before the music.

I remember getting this album. This was one of my favorite songs on it. Back then Adele's music wasn't so exposed to the American audience. After watching her interview with Oprah, I'm proud of where she is now in her life. Happiness and peace of mind is important.

I remember listening to this song when it was played for the first time and she sang it on top of BBC roof at the end of a program. I stopped and got teary as I missed my hometown dreadfully because I just moved in England. I was so moved by the words and it just made me realise how much I love my hometown...
In 9th grade I did an interpretive dance with my team to this song that was about suicide awareness. Red ribbons on our wrists. We all sobbed the entire time. It's so hard to preform such a powerful piece. Still to this day I can't stop myself from crying.
