I am happy my suggestion inspired you. impressed with how close you got, especially the vocals. Demon days is a hell of a record, and very well produced, and often makes it on "top records ever made" type lists. interesting to see your approach on how to use multiple bits of gear to work together. lots of good details of the how and why you did stuff. did you get into any compressors or anything like that on your mixing process? i would guess they were doing a lot of sidechaining and compressor stuff on the original. at least i think i can hear some of that
Thanks for the inspiration! Yes I have compression in different layers but it is impressive how clean their mix is. I think I’ve never listen to Gorillaz trying to analyze them, I was always simply enjoying myself. So it was cool to listen to Demon Days really paying attention to the details, and man there were many details! Glad you liked the video and vocals, I was a bit shy to sing in the channel, but it makes sense when doing re creations. Cheers!
@@ShaperSoundChannel Yeah its a lot of details. i actually have a hard time keeping track of them all. i think trying to replicate stuff is a good challenge i should try to do more. NGL i was really impressed by the vocals. you have a really versatile voice if you can pull that off while your spoken timbre is a lot different than the gorillaz singer.
@@GillamtheGreatest thanks brother. The channel has been “my excuse” to get something music done. Recreating some songs has been for sure a big learning for me on mixing and mastering, on top of sound design of course. And the singing was something I started to study with an excellent couch during the pandemics. I use to be a backing vocal, in tune but zero technique. So I am daring to publish my singing now, still a lot to learn but building confidence and technique. So thanks for the encouragement!
@@RC-SATX I actually don’t have the steam available for the public but you have me an idea. I am starting with a series of shorts of dolly shoots of my favorite gear. So I may release one on the Juno and use the bell loop as it’s sound track. Can you extract it from UA-cam?

Would you happen to have a short sample track of the JU-O64A bell effect anywhere? I would like to use it on my phone.

@@ShaperSoundChannel Yes. If you upload it to UA-cam I can export the sound as an mp3. Thank you for the quick response!
Hello again. I was just wondering if you are still willing to upload the bell section of the song. No rush, just wondering. Thank you.
@ Hi there, yes, this is next on my to do list. I am waiting for a good natural light to show up. I hope to get lucky this week. Cheers
