It is not coaching or ownership Chicago now is soul crushing. you could take team bears and move them all to Greenbay, and in 2 years, they would be playoff contenders.
Looking forward, I’d be heavily scouting defensive backs for this year’s draft and trading Alexander. Let’s get something for him like they did with Rodgers before it’s too late.
There is many things to consider. Jaire's age and health suggest just one more contract before he begins aging out of his position. The organization may be protecting any value he has left. Jaire might be protecting what value he has left. The injury itself could look good from a medical POV but in participation shows signs of weakness. The organization doesn't mind dragging their feet on injuries because the team is young and it gives them opportunity to develop talent in their depth chart. Cap money is always an issue going forward. Developing a bunch of young talented players at the same time eventually leads to the inability to afford all future contracts. There's many different angles and voices in this conversation that will never be public knowledge. We watch the game for entertainment but it is all business and livelihood from the front office personnel down to the players.
I’m staying optimistic he will return for the playoffs. Medically cleared doesn’t mean he feels ready and if he doesn’t feel 100% there’s no need to have him come back for the regular season, especially if he already reaggravated it once. If he doesn’t come back for the playoffs then I’m gonna be actually annoyed and expect him to receive a massive pay cut or trade him. Unfortunately we won’t get much for a trade given his recent injury history. Regardless of all that I’m excited to watch our run game vs their run defense, our pass rush vs their sack prone offensive line, how our secondary handles their skill players, and mostly how we play against a top team
Jaire showed his character the game he went out for the coin flip and he wasn’t a captain. He is very self centered. Two years ago he got a $84 million fully guaranteed contract and he hasn’t played since. He only has played 31 of the last 66 games and he is milking the packers. Why should he play when his checks are guaranteed? Yes he should have been put on IR and roster spot given to someone else. The Packers need to figure out how to get rid of him.
I don’t think it’s that crazy that Jaire is possibly saying he’s in pain and can’t play despite what the training staff thinks. Maybe he is upset with his contract and is trying to get released. Yes, that’s Unfair speculation - but when a player chooses not to make himself available to reporters I feel they’re fair game. Fans want answers, fans pay the salaries.
I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think Alexander is going to be back this year. They should’ve just put him on IR after the Bears game so they would have had the roster spot.
like 69, 23 is inconsequential. if he plays, fine. if he doesn't, fine. they're used to being without him. it almost upsets chemistry if he plays. I personally think they're saving him for the playoffs. he practices to stay sharp and help chemistry if he actually does play.
I respect with the players do to get ready and try to rehab. The difference for me with the Ja situation is that in other players rehabbing the coach says that the players doing everything they can to get back and seems to not say anything regarding Ja. So read between the linesappreciate what the player is doing in his comments. With J he literally says nothing
When Jaire was suspended last year, the team said the captain fiasco was the culmination of other things. So it’s reasonable to wonder if there’s something else going on. It’s naive to say definitively, “nothing to see here.” You don’t know. And when has a beat reporters ever unearthed something the team is hiding? McGinn used to. He never tried to be chummy with the team, the opposite of access journalism. The Packers press corps never published what other issues led to Jaire’s suspension.
Nah, stokes is gone cuz he sucks, we aren't getting rid of Jaire just because of that. We're not losing 2 guys. I think they draft one in first two rounds and let him play with Jaire one year before we let him go
@EvilBadger72 , assumptions don't change the fact that the Packers will get rid of him next season.. if he comes back healthy and contributes in the playoffs, it may be enough to keep him on the roster until they draft or sign his replacement.. you have no idea he is done .. ofcourse the more he misses games the more it will affect his future.. either way he will probably be gone after next season.. there is currently no one worthy of replacing him.. he needs to get on the field for sure and his value definitely took a hit.. Gute don't hang on to injury prone players, we will see.. the fact of the matter is that there are only a handful of CBs that can individually match up against the top WRs in the NFL as to why he is probably still in GB ..
Surprised the Packers haven't traded him for a 3rd round pick or something by now. Even when he has been on the field this year he hasn't played well. I think he might need a change of scenery.
This makes no sense. He was playing great when he was able to play and locked in. He's just hurt worse than expected. It's unfortunate. I'm sure he wants to be out there competing more than any fan would like him to
Giving a guy a big guaranteed contract is sort of like drafting him all over again - a crap shoot. Some players get paid and it lights a fire under them to show everyone that they *deserve* that money and that deal. Other players get paid and from that point on do the absolute bare minimum to stay on the team, because as long as they don't get cut it doesn't matter how hard they play, the money's gonna keep rolling in.
Well maybe if MLF wasn't so snippy and aloof when asked about JA, Packer fans wouldn't unfairly surmise that JA could play but chooses not to.... A little transparency from MLF and the Packers would save JA from having to endure undue criticism, but alas that is not the case, and fill in host Jacob, is more than happy evidently, to just be a water carrier....
Packers will be $62 mil under the cap next year, it’s time to sacrifice some of that by addition by subtraction. Jaire needs to be a cap casualty and we eat one big hit and a couple small hits. At this point he’s a distraction and when he does play it has been league average the last 3 years. Bye bye.
One counter point to players "supposedly" giving up on a team and JA is that when you have a De'Vondre Campbell straight up quit mid-game, the presidense is out there that over the last 30 years, is a culture of entitlement that has creeped in all society. Many of these mid-teir players think they deserve No1 positions and aren't getting them. Its interesting in this video, you say Chicago needs a culture change and also profess that NFL players dont give up, 🤷♂️
I would really like to know what’s happening with Jordan Morgan. Is he still having issues with his shoulder?!?! I believe he’s off the IR, but still has no playing time….
Andy we love you but this MF CAN and ALWAYS fill in even the time when you were sick that weekend a like year ago during draft season….keep up the good work Jacob always appreciate when we you get the mic
Gutey likes to draft according to bpa (best player available), but I really do hope he drafts a boundary corner and an edge rusher with the 1st 2 picks. Then I hope we draft another cornerback not hybrid not safety repositioned to corner but true boundary corner in later rounds. CB,DE,CB,LT,DT,ILB,K in that order...(or bpa)
I disagree, I feel the Packers have a lot to play for. A higher seed and proof that they can beat a top team. Win the turnovers and no skol, brothers! Green n Gold 27, Purple 24.
I can't see any good coach going to the Bears when the 3 teams ahead of you are arguably 3 of the top 4 or 5 teams in the NFC.So even if you improve these teams will also and you'll still be in last place
He's talented, he is definitely worth the high pick they spent 8n him, but he's constantly hurt and fan favorite or not, being hurt constantly is the same as sucking in Green Bay. Why do you think they got rid of the great Aaron Jones? It's not because he isn't good. He's STILL good. He's likely going to Canton some day, that does not help Green Bay if he is missing 5 and 6 games a year. Has Jacobs even missed a single snap this year? Valentine is playing pretty dang good and there are a number of soon to be draftees and quality free agents available. Jaire is a great guy and has done great things in Green Bay but mark my words, just as sure as I'm sitting here, he's finished here after this season.
NFL games are won and lost on the offensive and defensive lines. Drafting linemen is usually not a very sexy or appreciated pick for fans. But look at the records of teams that don’t prioritize their offensive and defensive linemen. You can’t win without the big men. I am always glad when GB expends draft capital or other resources on linemen. Linemen form the foundation upon which to build a team. There are many NFL examples of teams with great skill players and poor linemen and the result is always poor records; and many times injured QB’s. As far as this years #1 draft pick, the jury is still out. Give the man a chance to get healthy and gain a little NFL experience. Cooper D has been playing this season for the Eagles but he hasn’t been tearing it up. At the end of the day, an average offensive lineman is more valuable than an average DB, a good OL is more valuable than a good DB, and a great OL is more valuable than a great DB. So at this point I am not regretting our # 1 draft pick from this year. Finally, I am thankful that GB has the ability to identify and draft offensive linemen in the later rounds of the draft. This provides tremendous value to the Packers because they can then use their higher draft picks to address other needs on their roster. Both of GB’s starting offensive tackles are a great example of this. Most teams have to use # 1 and # 2 round picks to address this need. Unfortunately, as good as GB is in drafting OL, they are quite mediocre in drafting DL and other defensive positions in general. If GB can improve in this area, then they will have an outstanding roster for years to come. And GB did do a good job on their defensive draft picks this year which already have improved the defense in their first year. E Williams and E Cooper already look like stars in the making; far exceeding the productivity of prior years first round picks. Go Pack Go Win a Championship!

Bro I wouldn't take that job lol. Why would Ben johnson go there when almost any other option is better
Looking forward, I’d be heavily scouting defensive backs for this year’s draft and trading Alexander. Let’s get something for him like they did with Rodgers before it’s too late.
Doesn’t matter.. he’s getting released or traded in the offseason..
Simple, he’s angling to be a Viking next year! 🎉
Hope Alexander makes play off . Let’s all wish him good health. Go pack win
Simple as this. More fans should be like supporting teammates vs. fake unnecessary gms
Release him. Save the cap space
That’ll be on the table in the offseason, but first you try and trade him, so you get something in return and save the money.
Dude got suspended last year and he quit on the team. He doesn’t believe anymore, so maybe they can trade him away and at least get a pick for him
I don’t think it’s that crazy that Jaire is possibly saying he’s in pain and can’t play despite what the training staff thinks. Maybe he is upset with his contract and is trying to get released.
Yes, that’s Unfair speculation - but when a player chooses not to make himself available to reporters I feel they’re fair game. Fans want answers, fans pay the salaries.
Idk, my 13 year old tore his PCL in September and here we are in December and it still bothers him to try and run fast
The Bears rivalry is better when Chicago has a good team.
I'm over the Jaire soap opera. Trade him.
You've got about 60 seconds to convince me to stick around. 😂😂😂
Dr. Mckenzie and the rest of the medical staff knows best. Nevertheless, Packers needs to address another cb in the draft.
Jaire is done in GB
Nah, stokes is gone cuz he sucks, we aren't getting rid of Jaire just because of that. We're not losing 2 guys. I think they draft one in first two rounds and let him play with Jaire one year before we let him go
@@AnthonyA-t8f, I agree
@@thomasott9488 Wishful thinking doesn't change the fact that he hasn't played much since he signed his big contract. MLF seems frustrated.
@thomasott9488 I believe Jaire is done in GB after this season. He probably won't play against the Bears next week or in the playoffs
Hope he gets healthy, but honestly, i dont even think of him as an active member of the team anymore. Next man up they are are professionals
Bro doesn’t wanna get smoked by Addison and JJ anymore
The problem was him coming back against the bears three weeks after the injury...had he not hed be back already
Bro probably thinks Veteran’s Day is for NFL retirees 🫡
Surprised the Packers haven't traded him for a 3rd round pick or something by now. Even when he has been on the field this year he hasn't played well. I think he might need a change of scenery.
RUNESCAPE MENTIONED!
They say that so the other team can't prepare proper .
We should keep him on the roster as a backup and signed Kendell fuller or trevios white
JA got paid. JA is now oft injured. What's a fan to think? I think he lost his edge.
I am sure Jaire would play if he felt like he could!
He is hurt… I hope this helps.
Would y’all be this ignorant if he had a complete tear and needed surgery?
Hes been a liability for 3 years running. Time to get rid of him.
@ no he hasn’t
@Wyatt274 hes literally played in LESS than half of the last 67 games.....
Matt is fed up. This is Alexanders last year in Green Bay.
@ fed up with these stupid questions from reporters… No it won’t
Well maybe if MLF wasn't so snippy and aloof when asked about JA, Packer fans wouldn't unfairly surmise that JA could play but chooses not to.... A little transparency from MLF and the Packers would save JA from having to endure undue criticism, but alas that is not the case, and fill in host Jacob, is more than happy evidently, to just be a water carrier....
Maybe the Packers will stop drafting 5'9" 180lb CBs. When Jaire loses a step, hes JAG. I doubt he'll be on the team next year. GPG
Culture is good because the packers are winning...When thry have an off year players complain, fans start crying like they always do.
Thanks, great insight, lousy graphics. ;-)
We need to get rid of Jaire ! Plain and simple,
Packers will be $62 mil under the cap next year, it’s time to sacrifice some of that by addition by subtraction.
Its interesting in this video, you say Chicago needs a culture change and also profess that NFL players dont give up, 🤷♂️
Chicago's culture starts at the top, ownership.
Why won’t they say what’s wrong with the Knee???
Tucker Kraft running the podcast now?
I would really like to know what’s happening with Jordan Morgan. Is he still having issues with his shoulder?!?! I believe he’s off the IR, but still has no playing time….
Morgan had surgery on his shoulder,he's on Ir
Andy we love you but this MF CAN and ALWAYS fill in even the time when you were sick that weekend a like year ago during draft season….keep up the good work Jacob always appreciate when we you get the mic
Why didn’t they put him on IR then?
He the Anthony davis of the nfl, street clothes his new nick name.. he never plays
Packers definitely going corner back early this coming nfl draft
Gb should trade both their 2025 and 2026 first round draft picks and maybe seconds to trade up and draft Travis Hunter
Gutey likes to draft according to bpa (best player available), but I really do hope he drafts a boundary corner and an edge rusher with the 1st 2 picks. Then I hope we draft another cornerback not hybrid not safety repositioned to corner but true boundary corner in later rounds.
CB,DE,CB,LT,DT,ILB,K
in that order...(or bpa)
@@Cheesehead2025 that would be cool
I disagree, I feel the Packers have a lot to play for. A higher seed and proof that they can beat a top team. Win the turnovers and no skol, brothers! Green n Gold 27, Purple 24.
I can't see any good coach going to the Bears when the 3 teams ahead of you are arguably 3 of the top 4 or 5 teams in the NFC.So even if you improve these teams will also and you'll still be in last place
It’s giving Bakhtiari vibes
RUNESCAPE MENTION
I’m not listening to hot takes about Ja from college bandwagoneers .. dude is hurt. It sucks but it happens. Moving on.
The most important ability is availability
Seems like they are treating jaire like zadarius smith....we'll definitely get the truth in a few years or if he gets traded
Gutey will always keep Jaire because he was his first draft pick. Everyone calm down. Jaire will be fine.
No he won't. Hes been an a expensive liability for 3 years straight. Played than half of almost the last 70 games. Hes done. Hes an expensive injury prone liability.
@ Bakhtiari was also here 3 years while being the highest paid and not playing more than 4 games. All while being older. Jaire will take a pay cut and be back. We’re just saving him for playoffs.
missing 34 games in 4 seasons is not fine, the guy is a made of glass and needs to go
