Toph was restricted to her family's home because she was blind. She wasn't allowed to leave the garden (and was probably rarely allowed to even leave the house), and anytime she wanted to leave, she had to sneak out. And despite her parents getting a nosebleed seat to their daughter being the greatest earthbender of all time, they still decided she was too fragile, and took away even MORE of her freedom. Toph wasn't privileged, she was a hostage that got treated really well.
Her blindness was "an embarrassment," and that's why the kids had no idea her parents even had a daughter. That's also why she wasn't allowed to leave the house or garden even, because someone was likely to notice her wandering around the property and start asking questions. If not to her, but then around town or eventually her parents would have to answer why they were hiding her existence.

Why is zuko even on the list?? Zuko was physically abused, abandoned, and a fugitive from his own family. If he was entitled he just would have remained silent instead of speaking from his conscious about sacrificing men. If he had stayed silent he would have reaped a royal life. Instead he was forced to fight for whats right and make his own way when completely alone and losing everything- even turning on his own family to protect the innocent. Zuko is the best written character Ive ever seen.
Here’s the son of what was effectively a duke so for a brief portion of his childhood he was higher on the totem pole than Mai. But he was basically kicked out and given a low level navy commander role like at most 5 years after he was a prince. So he definitely had a bit or time where he was rich and privileged but not as long as any of the others. (Except sokka)

Steam is fine water droplets that haven’t yet evaporated, so possibly the water bender could bend it, but they’d probably have to be very powerful because I’d imagine it would be like trying to grab dust out the air.

But I also think she’s really iconic and has some of the coldest lines. although I can understand why most people wouldn’t like her because she’s evil and she’s the villain I think she really deserved better and I think she turns nicer in the comics :)
Privilege can mean a lot of things, and it doesn't just apply to wealth and class. For example, I can make the argument that Sokka is actually more privileged that Azula, because he has his father's unconditional love, a healthy sibling relationship, a supportive partner and friend group, and he's more mentally stable.

You just gotta love that this series can be summarized in: a bunch of noble children have to end a long war within a year In the main crew there is no "commoner" aside from Suki : Aang's the Avatar, Sokka and Katara are water tribe royalty, Zuko's a Fire Nation prince (later on Fire Lord), Toph is a Beifong, Yue was a water tribe princess, Mai and Ty Lee are from important Fire Nation families and Iroh is from the Fire Nation royal family

She may have had money but her parents kept her in a guilded cage she couldn't even see. They only permitted her the most basic of earthbending teaching in a region where it widely available. She had to evade her parents to teach herself with the help of the local badger-moles or to live any kind of life of her own. I don't conserder her to be privileged compared to the fire nation characters we follow.
