Patenga Beach is a popular tourist destination in the port city of Chittagong, located at the mouth of the Karnaphuli River. Patenga is located just 14 km south of the zero point of Chittagong city. It was heavily damaged in the 1991 cyclone. Currently, the beauty of the beach has increased due to the protection of the dam. At high tide, the crashing waves make for a spectacular sight. On the way you will see Shah Amanat (R) International Airport, BNS Ishan Kha (Bangladesh Navy Wharf) and Chittagong Port Jetty. All are close so there is no hassle of separation. There is a Burmese market on the beach. You can also go back and recover your favorite purchases there. The evening sunset at Patenga Sea Beach will be more breathtaking. Patenga Beach is not very wide and swimming in the sea here is risky. You will get a chance to ride a horse for 20 rupees. Along with this, there is also the opportunity to board a speedboat or a wooden boat. Usually, the tide starts coming in as the afternoon wears on. The embankment will go down a lot before the tide starts. The waves will come to the shore.
