I had no idea that my saw has an arbor lock. But there it is. You made it easy. Thanks!
Everything I tried didn't work for me until the wooden block trick! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for this gem of a tutorial! 👍🏿
I was a little worried about installing the blade after reading a couple of reviews. But it was amazingly easy. Took about 1 minute. Works great ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxjpBI8OOeUXib_iT7UomCrQ-uauwZJ62c . Cuts easily and is perfect for pocket cuts I needed to make for replacing some old deck boards.
i realize this is an old video, but honestly, the explanation, delivery, and common sense approach, are perfect.. now, I am a subscriber too.. thank you very much, I learned a lot today!!

Thank you, made very simple which I truly appreciate 😂
thanks for the alternative ways!
Thank you!
The new saw blades often come with reducing bushes because the bore of the blade is larger than the arbour spindle.
Nce. Is always good to know.
Thank you
Thanks!

if we are using the 2 wrench approach to (1) secure the arbor, and (2) to loosen the arbor nut, then how do we know what size wrenches to buy?
Hi kltech, Please reach out to our product support team at 1-800-260-9663 or support@rockler.com. They'll be able to assist you. Thank you
Do you go clock wise or counter clock wise to loosen??
Hi there, the arbor nuts on most table saws loosen counterclockwise, like typical hardware nuts.
well, only flaw was that there was only one way to install it back by use that pair of wrenches?
Nothing wrong with this video, yet crybabies still give it a thumbs down. Very helpful video Sir!
The wood method only works to loosen not tighten.
My arbor and arbor knot are stuck together with rust.. cant undo them
This is a serious problem. Try spraying the nut and arbor with soaking coats of WD40 a couple of times a day for three or four days. Then get a forged open-end wrench of the proper size for the arbor nut. Clamp a piece of wood up against the saw blade so it can’t turn and then loosen the nut with the open-end wrench. If it breaks free, remove the rust with more WD40 and steel wood and abrasive pads. Check to nut and arbor for defects. If you find them, they need to be replaced.
Easier to change blade standing on the opposite side demonstrated here !
Great to see that WoodPriX has new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.
You never say if you loosen the nut clockwise or counter clockwise
dude, lefty loosey righty tighty
@@aaronalquiza9680 not for some chop saws.
@@BIKEMAN21 true, my bad to assume, but it's a standard. if a person's chop saw does not comply to standard, then the manual should be able to tell them.
@@aaronalquiza9680 Im going to guess all chop saws have reverse thread on account of the blade being upside down compared to a table saw.
If you dont have the special arbor wrench stick a screw driver into the blade so it interferes with the table and use a box wrench to turn the nut COUNTER-CLOCKWISE but preferably use the provided hex wrench that was stamped thru. a regular wrench could strip the nut due to how tight these blades can get. I would even recommend to take 1/8" or thicker piece of flat metal to make your own hex slotted tool because if strip that nut ur screwed.
should of said whether is left hand thread or normal, i dont see why anyone would be watching this for any other reason. Its a NORMAL thread by the way , NOT left hand thread or reverse thread.
