Am I the only one who noticed the "ALL YOUR BASE" voice sample towards the end? Disproportionately I think that has to be one of my favourite vocal samples in this song.
I can’t believe it. After decades of grinding from the world’s top players the legendary 3:57 time has been reached. Camellia has cemented himself as one of the world’s great speedrunners. WE WERE HERE! (Song is good tho)
You may be unsatisfied about the 4:08 and not 3:57, but the song actually ends at 3:57 and has what I assume is to be credits, that little jingle at the end. I like to think that polybuis is actually a slow paced, slightly boring game, that was made much more hardcore from a speed run, if you know what I mean. Kind of like Tetris at a really high level vs a low level. I don’t think the end credits are counted in the speed run, either
tbf polybius isnt a boring game, polybius is actually a urban legend, a game that doesnt exist (only existed in the late 19's) players of the game actually got addicted to it because on how its graphics was outstanding for the time.
For anyone who hasn't seen Ahoy's video on Polybius, I highly recommend it, he basically goes through proving it never existed. Not trying to take anything away from the song, its still amazing, just wanted to throw it out there for anyone who doesn't know what Polybius is or the legend behind it (or still only knows the rumors of it)
i once again find myself coming back to this album and just enjoying how ridiculously good these compositions are. the sheer complexity of the tracks all coming together to make an entire album of individual masterpieces
This song is so Addictive and makes me want to fight with someone inside of my local arcade because of the psychoactive effects that this song does to my mind.
i decided to go through the album and find any songs that i didn't quite like when listening to it the first time on release to see if my growing taste in music made them more appealing to me. this was definitely one of the songs i wish i added to my playlist earlier. amazing work as always, even if its 9 months later :)
