Steelhead Lakeside Good Conditions

This video shows conditions that usually make for a good fishing day in Lake Erie. Anglers wading, old guys to the right in bag chairs, everyone had fun until the wind shifted to the north and spoiled the party. No edits, just rough footage, watch if you have 1/2 hour to waste

Hi Jack, can we apply same method in lake Ontario, Canada as TROUT are not yet in river. please advise.

Lake Ontario, Hamlin Beach - we used similar presentation to catch steelhead and browns. At Hamlin and Trout Run a large number of smolts are stocked, mature and return to stocking location. So the answer is yes. Anywhere on the Lake where stocked smolts are planted, they will return to that location. In addition to Trout Run, Godfrey Run gets a nice return also. Even on larger tributaries, the returning fish will stage near the mouth when low flow prevent an upstream run.
