He has told them numerous conflicting things he even told them, in the judges chambers, that he “did it.” He had communicated that he didn’t tell the truth and numerous times the prosecutors told him that it’s OK if he lied in the past just to tell them what he believes to be true, went on stand, hence he acted the way he did on the stand. They have set every single one of them up. And no, he didn’t leave him locked up, one of the games they play is refusing a bond and so he’s stuck in there when people that Are an active threat to society get issued bonds left and right. Again, it’s a game the Fulton County DAs office place where they get locked up, no bond, no court date, no reason to still be locked up years later., approach them with a plea deal so they take the deal even if they’re not guilty just to get out. That’s why everyone is confused why he would plead the fifth. Because he believed that he could. So that’s why the judge had the secret meeting to tell him the reason and definition of immunity and how he can get out of jail. Because that’s the only thing Woody cares about because he has a family
Just a note he didn’t take a deal for immunity they gave him immunity so he could no longer plead the 5th (stripping him of his rights which is crazy to me personally but ig that’s the whole legal system)
