I feel that’s how the original print of the film went and is why both the VHS and DVD counterpart contains it. My guess is that there might have been a PG-13 rated cut originally but then cut it down to PG upon initial release but didn’t have time to correct the end rating tag. Perhaps that’s why right before the FBI Screen shows the correct rating at 6:38. Most kids probably wouldn’t sit through the credits anyway back in 2000 so most probably didn’t even catch it.

There Is A 2017 Rerelease Of The Correct PG Rating Screen At The End Because PG-13 Is For Different Movies And Rated R Is For Adult.
