LOOΠΔ [Chuu]
LOOΠΔ’s each member with her own distinctive character encounters each other to build up the universe. The first member HeeJin started off by meeting HyunJin, which then led to introduction of HaSeul to make three. While the youngest member, YeoJin, and ViVi from Hong Kong join, LOOΠΔ 1/3 was complete. [Love&Live], an album full with emotions of first crush, gets reversed to create [Love&Evil], an album with pain of first break-up to wrap up the first chapter of LOOΠΔ 1/3’s career.
LOOΠΔ creates another circle with LOOΠΔ / ODD EYE CIRCLE with girls who prefer to take charge in a relationship, KimLip, JinSoul, and Choerry. They mix and match through [Mix&Match] to the maximum level of [Max&Match], while LOOΠΔ developed the depth of their music, visuals, and storytelling to the next level.
We all wonder who the last member is going to be. The start of the new unit took off with Yves, and now the tenth member of LOOΠΔ, Chuu, reveals herself to bring a new wind into the universe of LOOΠΔ.
The new single lets the fans take a peek into what JiWoo, who has already been a popular trainee among fans, had to go through to become ‘Chuu’, and her desire to be loved by Yves, who also has said in her lyrics, “my heart that wants to be like you gets colored, filled with you.”
The titled track “Heart Attack” does not interpret the feelings of being in love in a serious way, but with Chuu’s own adorable emoticon-like ways. The music video has references to historical and fictional figures such as the artist Rene Magritte, Hans Christian Andersen’s short story “The Little Match Girl”, and John Appleby’s novel “Aphrodite Means Death”.
The supporting track “Girl’s Talk” is a duet by Chuu and Yves, a rendition of a daily dialogue between two girls. Sweet but sometimes secretive, the precious chats between the girls get reinterpreted to become a song. G-High of Monotree, who has produced HeeJin’s “ViViD” and LOOΠΔ / ODD EYE CIRCLE’s “Uncover”, crafts the track to perfection to prove the quality
When four girls who denied the garden of Eden gathers, the party begins.

This is how I understand it: The green apple was a representation of Chuu's love. It was big but not mature, therefore Yves didn't accept it. But when Chuu decides to bite the apple and it turns red, it means that she decided to love herself first, finally reaching maturity, So Yves accepts her love.

I have a a theory
Throughout the whole video we can see Chuu watching Yves from a distance, almost stalking her. Yves can clearly notice, but never confronts her. She’s scared. She keeps a calm demeanor, and tries to distance herself from Chuu, which we can see as she moves away when Chuu gets close in the boots shot.
Some time later we see Yves reading the book ‘Aphrodite Means Death’. Basically, Yves thinks loving someone is dangerous and the death of your dignity or whatever.
In the shot after the book is shown, we are introduced to the Apple. It’s a surprisingly large apple. I think the Apple is a metaphor for Chuu’s heart, she wants to give her heart to Yves. But she wants to give it all to Yves, which is why it’s so big. Yves thinks Chuu’s dumb for giving up her heart to someone she barely knows.
Yves doesn’t think very highly of Chuu. Yves is one to have her guard up, wearing a sweet and happy face, to watch who she trusts, while Chuu wears hers on her sleeve. But worst of all, Chuu has zero self respect or self love. She’s constantly putting her dignity on the line to stalk Yves. Yves thinks of herself very highly, and doesn’t respect Chuu for her carelessness.
Yves pretends she’s doesn’t care and thinks she’s just playing with Chuu’s feelings for fun, but deep inside, Yves really likes Chuu. It horrifies her that she could like someone, with all she’s been taught, so she just pretends she’s teasing Chuu.
Chuu is beginning to feel more empty. She can’t function and feels bored and lonely away from Yves. She has been saving her love for Yves and she doesn’t think she’s worthy enough to spend it on herself. Chuu stalks Yves more now, rather than just glancing with the occasional photo, Chuu takes picture after picture, trying to hold on to Yves. Yves is like a drug, just seeing her dulls the self hatred and pain Chuu feels deep down.
Chuu keeps confessing and confessing, and Yves pretends not to notice. Chuu is running out of time. She has no love for herself, and it seems that Yves will never love her. She’s depressed, she dances all by herself out of Yves’s window, but she can’t do it anymore. She just can’t.
Chuu finally realizes something. She loves Yves. But how can she love Yves if she doesn’t love herself? The heart can be shared, and giving it all away will leave you hollow. So she takes a bite of the apple. It slowly bleeds red, her happiness restored. Yves sees her, and decides to let her. Chuu loves herself, something Yves deeply values. They have fun, and Yves realizes something too. It’s not bad to love someone. No one will think bad of you. So she steps down off of her platform of solitude, and finally decides to join Chuu.

My theory for this music video -
Chuu enters the loona verse by falling in love with Yves and following her there. She finds out everything she can about Yves and try’s to become more like her to make Yves like her back. Throughout the music video she is trying to give Yves a green apple but Yves ignores it and Chuu doesn’t understand why. Because as seen in Yves music video, she eats red apples
Eventually, Chuu eats the apple and it turns red / burgundy(Yves colour) and as soon as the apple turns red, Yves falls in love with her
But I feel like this music video is also trying to show that becoming more like someone else wont make people fall in love with you, being yourself will. When Yves won’t fall in love with Chuu, we see Chuu hitting the penguin away (penguin is her animal), she is throwing her self away to become more like Yves. I feel like the reason why Yves doesn't take her apple is because it's not ripe yet, meaning she isn't ready to be a serious relationship with her. Maybe she is immature, not prepared, or even aware that relationships aren't easy. It's only then when she bites on the apple that it turns ripe which can symbolize that she finally saw what she was about to give to Yves, which makes her either realize that it's not what Yves wanted or Yves wanted her to find the love in herself first before they can be together.

As a music major, I really appreciate the complexity of K-Pop from a music theory standpoint. This song starts in the key of E minor (best minor key for K-Pop in my opinion) and then it uses chromaticism to get to the relative major key which is G major. Then in the end of the song there is a whole step modulation and it goes to F# minor and the relative major which is A major. This technique of switching scales is called mode mixture. Anyways it’s a really cool and complex song and I love it. Like this comment if you have no idea what I’m talking about lol.
