Who’s Gonna Be the One live performance is another great example of how tight the band is. There’s a cool switch at the end of the performance.
Yesssss!!!! And also Teacher Teacher and Judgedment and Punishment Punishment (1 take)
Vlad is a pianist. I think his drum setup looks like it is positioned in front of him similar to the way a piano would be.
He also plays guitar pretty well.
Tatiana is definitely the "hook" to this band, but the more I learn about the other members the more I am impressed with them as a whole. Especially with Vladislav. He is a classically trained pianist and about a week ago he put out a video where he plays the piano performing Rachmaninov - Prelude in C# minor. He also has a number of drum playthroughs with the most recent being their song "Under the Dome". There are even a few guitar cover videos he has done. Just yesterday on their official Facebook page he did a cover of Slipknot - The Nameless that is freaking AWESOME.
Welcome to the rabbit hole. A lot of us trapped down here...
The Prophecy; Teacher, Teacher; Home Back; Retrospection-live in Kiev; On The Top; Captain Clock-Resurrectionfest; Ape.... all great songs to listen to by Jinjer. You really can’t go wrong with any of their music. Each member of the band is exceptional at what they do, and a joy to watch perform. Enjoy the Jinjer journey!!
"On the top" official video and then live in Kiev Double feature. That is one of their best live performances.
Jinjer provides unlimited talent throughout the band, Teacher teacher "official video" and Who is gonna be the one live, You would really enjoy!
The most talented and hard working band in the world! “This is poetry of me and you.”
I love how you feel this music. Keep doing it.
Oh yeah, I always forget. "Teacher teacher" official, "Who's gonna be the one" and "I speak astronomy". Or "Outlander". Or whatever, you can't miss.
Vlad is always playing a very small (and flat) kit, but he gets a lot of sound out of it. He is also, just like the rest of the band, a very technical player (they'll have some veeery technical songs too). When he joined in 2016 he really complemented the band and made the package whole. And yes, Tatiana is an absolute sweetheart. :)
Official video suggestions:
Teacher, Teacher
I Speak Astronomy
Pit Of Consciousness
Cloud Factory
Retrospection
No Hoard Of Value (official lyric video)
Home Back
Sit Stay Roll Over
Live suggestions:
Who Is Gonna Be The One live
On The Top live in Kiev
Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev
Judgement & Punishment live in Melbourne
Fun reaction. They are heavily influenced by jazz, blues, and even reggae, and Vlad's drum work fits that. Who Is Gonna Be The One and Home Back are some other great videos. There is also a drum playthrough of Under The Dome that cam out recently, and a bunch of playthroughs of all the band members to give them a chance to shine without Tati stealing the show ;).
The Jinjer army will never lead you astray on what to listen to.
Love it! Since you’re a drummer, have you listened to Leprous? Baard Kolstad’s drum playthrough of “The Sky is Red” is phenomenal.
He totally should :) Hope you are fine Jen! :)
So glad you came back to them so soon!! You should check out their latest video for their song Home Back. Some of the lowest, if not THE lowest, growls I’ve heard from her. The song and the video are both badass. The song is about the war that’s been going on where they’re from in Ukraine. Love your reactions!
Love Jinjer 😁👍👍 live or studio they always deliver
Loved watching your reaction, laughed out loud more than once :) Your thoughts echo mine almost exactly, the entire band is so on point it's not fair. If you want to hear another live performance Retrospection - Live in Melbourne is awesome, or I highly recommend their new video for Home Back another great track. To be honest I think you will enjoy any song of theirs you listen to! I look forward to your next video \m/
Check out Vlad's one take playing Under The Dome. Top notch drummer for sure
I love watching people discovering and appreciating Jinjer! This is one of my favorite Jinjer stage performances, but they're fantastic in so many other ones too.
Check out Teacher Teacher (official video is from three stage performances with great cinematography and editing)
Let’s more Jinjer!! All their songs are brilliant! Performance on stage by Tati, perfect sound ...I loved them from first track!
Make more reactions! Very interesting to watch you!
...you picked a great band for your journey into reaction videos...good job as well...im subbin....im 62 and this band has become my favorite after years of nothing new really worth listening to...they are so good ...so tight...and fit so well together....please go straight to "whos gonna be the one" live for a killer performance...this band is not capable of writing anything but epic music...thanks...peace...
I´m 60 born Jan -61 and began listen to Jinjer in January this year. Had never heard about them before. Just listened a few sec to "teacher, teacher" (Alive in Melbourne). Never liked growling at all. But I gave it a chance.
I´m in love with them. It´s like poison for me. Always have a song from them in my head every day.
All the reaction videos, all live videos, all behind the scene....
All of them so magic, so tight....and simple (down-to-earth kind of).
I said to a friend on Facebook (he saw them in Gavle/Sweden-19) that they have taken this genre to another higher level.
Don´t really want to compare them anyway with Megadeth....but every song they perform (or deliver) is an adventure.
If you want to see just Vlad, try Jinjer - Under the Dome (one take drum playthrough)
Another fun uptempo Jinjer song (for the drumming) is their live video for Sit Stay Roll Over. Vlad is a beast, the entire band is incredible really
From what I understand, drum kits with low setups are designed to keep everything below the heart. That way it's less strain on the heart so it doesn't have to pump blood into your arms at an elevated position. That's what I learned from Spencer Prewett, Archspire drummer. Archspire would be good band to react to Calamus Will Animate or Involuntary Doppelganger.
Keep those Jinjer reactions coming and the Jinjer Army will keep watching. Check out the songs Cloud Factory or Words of Wisdom. Both older songs. Ironically both with different drummers than Vlad. They were definitely more metalcore back then and a little less Progressive. Still great songs though!
Welcome to the Jinjer rabbit hole. Excited to watch your Jinjer Journey. Older song but look up Outlander
Awesome reaction man 👍 Good job 👌 Best regards and respect from Russia ✌😀
Watch Vlad's reсent drum playthrough.
As a drummer it's really worth paying attention to Vlad's style. He can lead just as well with his left hand as with his right and it really opens up lots of rhythmically interesting possibilities which he exlpoits to their fullest. I've not watched your Pisces reaction yet but it's really noticable in that, when he switches from ride to hi-hats, it's worth watching again to study it.
Awesome man! Welcome officially to the Jinjer Nation! 🤘 Enjoy the ride, it's awesome
Jinjer Home Back musically and lyrically is a powerhouse then Tatiana drops her lowest growls to date as far as I know. They recently released the official music video for it or check out the live from their Alive in Melbourne concert in Australia. The timestamps are in the description.
"This shit drops hard". Yeah. Every time. Even when you know it's coming. Every fracking song. Go check the new albun if you haven't already.
Jinjer is always dope another good band you should check out is Nightwish start off with Ghost Love Score live at Waken 2013
i cant agree with this enough, nightwish is brilliant
Home Back is their newest video. Very very nice production and truly tells their story. Hope you enjoy! Cheers 🥂
Awesome! I'm glad somebody else notices the ghost notes. Do the video of their song "Retrospection" the venue for the concert in that song is definitely haunted now from all of the ghost notes he unleashed in there haha
Hi im from Chile, you need react to home back to this same band
It's pretty cool, its low like a jazz drum set up. And occasionally he will play with the sticks switched backwards. Fat end forward. Definitely remarkable.
Vlad the drummer used to be a classical piano player and only played drums for a couple years before he hooked up with Jinjer apparently, idk if that influences his kinda unique drumming style but definitely an interesting background for a drummer I think.
Careful, Jinjer can be addictive, I am 61 and I am hooked, there are so many great songs to choose from, my personal favorite is who is going to be the one. Her new video Home Back is awesome , but it is in the deep end of extreme vocals. This band does it’s best work live. Enjoy your Jinjer journey.
You already like these two first song, so you will love many more. Welcome to the Jinjer rabbit hole!
If you do more Jinjer reaction you will gradually discover the band.
- Tatiana always look different
- They blend gender (jazz, rap, raggea)
- Since they have only one guitar, the bass is very present in their style.
- Diffucult to find a bad song
- Very skilled musicians
- and of course Tatiana vocal beast who always deliver great vocals, but also write the lyrics (help to be emotionally involve when you sing your own words).
A German ginger, reacting to Jinjer. Haha! Your English is perfect btw.
Cool reaction! Love Jinjer!!! Should check out the one take vocal of judgment and punishment! Also Slipknot!! They are great and drum heavy!!
Captain clock live at resurrection fest next please! Great reaction.
Hello Germany from Spain !
I love this group. "Teacher Teacher" was my favorite video but now I'm digging their new video for "Home Back".
You...sir...are adorable 💘
Welcome to your new favorite band :)
New jinjer fan is born.
Jinjer - Retrospection (official video)
Jinjer - Pit of Consciousness (Live in Kiev)
Hey, as a drummer you need to check Slaughter To Prevail - Demolisher. This drummer is INSANE
Another good reaction from you, keep up the good work.
I think that the official video for 'Teacher, Teacher' by them gives you a great overview of how good they are over all, this would be a great reaction to do next.
hab ich's mir fast gedacht Malte.... :-)
JINJER - Teacher, Teacher! (Official Video) | Napalm Records

Good stuff thanks!!! And hello From Virginia!!!
Good video. You should check out the official video for the song teacher teacher next. You really can't go wrong with this band.
Check out the Resurrection fest is a great concert of Jinjer!
Great reaction, great assessment.
Subscribed. Can’t wait for what else you react to, no matter what group or genre.
Great reaction. You should check out some early jinjer Destroy (live BEASTIARIUM) its a studio recording from 2011.
Let us help him get familiar with the band first, shall we?
@@Dark__Thoughts yea my thought was to start from the beginning to see how they have progressed as a band over the years. But yea I probably should have recommended Teacher Teacher or any of the live at kiev performances. Lol
@@davidpalmer287 I think it is better / easier to go back from their height to their roots when introducing a new band. Otherwise you risk someone maybe not liking it and missing what they are now. I personally love their old stuff too, as do many fans, but that does not go for everyone.
Plus, I think going back in time is way more interesting of a journey too.
@@Dark__Thoughts I agree with you totally. I always recommend stuff that doesn't get reacted to very often. But didnt even put any thought into if that would make them more interested in the band or not.
Watching her, you would never believe Tatianna is incredibly shy.
Is she? Reminds me of Till Lindemann. To be honest, I think that just makes her more awesome!
@@maltedrums indeed it does!
Hab drauf gewartet, nices Video. Weiter so 😊👍
You have to check out Pit of consciousness. It is my favorite song of theirs and Vlad's drumming in that song is one of the major reasons why.
Would love to see you check these out as well
Infant annihilator-cuntcrusher drum playthrough
Meshuggah Bleed-live drum playthrough
Crystal Lake-Aeon
Slaughter to prevail-Agony
But most especially
Tallah-No one Should Read This
Tallah's drummer, Max Portnoy, is the son of Mike Portnoy, who used to drum for dream theater and avenged sevenfold.
Seeing that lots more folks have joined the party & are giving suggestions, this is just a quick random comment to help with the almighty algorithm! ;)
You look like a twin of a proffessional CSGO player Dupreeh (Peter Rasmussen). Holy... damn. Your voices sound quite similar too. DAMN.
Vlad's style makes a lot more sense to me after seeing the video of him playing Rachmaninov on piano.
Lots of transitions and tempo changes.
Nice video! Keep it up. Dont worry about being nervous you doing great!
That Ferrero outfit was sold on one of their gigs.
Thanks from Ukraine)
Guten abend!
If you REALLY want your cage rattled, go watch their latest drop, "Home Back!"
Hey from the uk
Good reaction🤘 Vlad can be "One man band" JINJER Change the game, 1 month ago drop new video "home back", "TEACHER, TEACHER" for level 3🤣🤣
Speaking of minimalist versus...well, the opposite of that, in drums, I do hope you haven’t already seen the Danny Carey live drum cam of Pneuma that Vic Firth put on UA-cam, because I’d love to see your reaction to that.
Great job on the reactions keep it up!! Jinjer has just released a drum play through of an older song called “under the dome” you should check that out!! Another video you should check out is the song “Demolisher” by the band Slaughter to Prevail ! It’s a reaction must and then check out the drum play through on that song as well.
Nice vid bro.
whos going to be the one live
lool thoiught you were anthony jeselnik from the thumbnail.. was like cool hes reacting to jinjer?
You have to check out Spiritbox - Rule of Nines (both music video and live sing-through), make it a double feature :-)
React to jinjer - judgment and punishment one take !! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You should check out some of your neighbors from Switzerland...
Eluveitie - Rebirth
Your cactus should have a cactus friend.. He is so lonely now :( :)
Actually, there are five small cactusses in that pot. Their names are Alex, Robin, Dante, Marik and Jack. And they are friends 🎉😂
no females? poor guys :( :)
@@ThirstyTunaTaco Alex and Robin are!
@@maltedrums I bet poor Polish Marek is the one thats still single .. Poor bugger :(
hi! nice reaction! you should react to Spiritbox if you dont know them yet
From what I’ve heard others say is Vlad uses a jazz drum set up.
This is probably the first reaction video to this live version where there are no _Wacken is pronunced 'vacken'_ comments. It should've been kind of obvious but I read all 49 of them anyway, before I wrote this. : )
This song wasn't supposed to be the last one in their set but some stage gear problems delayed their start and they had to cut it short so the next band could start on time. Limitations of being a relatively unknown band playing in a big festival for the first time, in a secondary stage early on in the day (around 11AM).
I'm surprised you didn't notice (or if you noticed you didn't mention it) that Vlad's main snare hand is the right hand and not the left like a normal right-footed drummer. However, when doing blast beats he usually uses both hands. : )
Good reaction and good insights. Try some Deep Purple for cool drumming (cool everything).
I love how he apologized for mispronouncing the word "perennial" meanwhile 75% of the reactors I've seen, all British or American, pronounced it wrong as well and didn't even catch themselves. At least this guy has an excuse. Gut gemacht und reaktion. Stay safe everyone. Cheers from Florida.
Thank god haha! Thanks, greetings from germany !
Hello; Now as a drummer the next rabbit hole for you to get into would be Rush, but I am sure, you know them already?
imagine discussing with her
If you are surprised with the traffic Jinjer got you, try reacting to "Nightwish - Ghost Love Score (Live at Wacken 2013)".
You have no idea.
Check out Who is going to be the one Live.
Also about his kit, their from a war torn country and had to flee at one point. I think they may still be living abroad 🤔
For those who may not have gotten the comment comparing Tatiana to a Ferrero Rocher because it may not be that common in your country: Do yourself a favor and google it. ;-)
Vlad has drum play through videos on UA-cam that I think you’d enjoy
I like the minimalistic drum set. It seems to be a trend in the last years to reduce your kit. The old school "drum castles" always looked a bit over the top for me. And with less drums, metal drummers seem to have learned to play better (There are so many bad metal drummers in smaller bands that just hit as loud as possible).
So Thumbs up for minimalismn
Vlad also plays the piano
you should watch Vlads Drum Cam Video. He is a Beast.
React to Vlad playing Jinjer-under the dome
i always thougth that is was a jazz thing to sit high on your drums??
That's okay, you pronounced 'Perennial' the same way some native english speakers have been pronouncing it.
Musician (that nobody knows) react to Jinjer 🤣🤣
You don't have to say that you are from germany ... your accent gives it away easyly ;)
No offense here, my german accent may be even worse :D
go find the song Ape.
You wanna put a laugh . How about your country started both world wars. Is that funny
