Sc always keeps you busy, and its more then that because the longer the match goes the more micro intensive it gets... its one of the only games that gets my heart rate up and hot while playing a good match 👍
I really wonder what happened in Game 1? SPOILER Why was Inno even with Maru when the big fights started after losing so many SCVs in the early game? Did Maru invest in anything that didn't pay out or did he just to many mistakes that piled up? The only thing I realized was that Maru had a ton of infrastructure to rebuild quickly but I wasn't able to see if Inno had a similar amount of Barracks/Factories/Starports.
Dota is basically as hard as controlling 1 Ghost. In SC2 you have to scan for banes, build units, drop, stop a Zergling run by while you're controlling that Ghost.
e.g. dota2 matches are on average something like 3 times longer than sc2. Doesnt really make sense to say "ah but fighting games are a lot shorter so its okay" and not makr that point with games that are longer than sc2.
I think the spirit of the Q is clear: the question is basically "in which game do you suffer the most/have the least opportunity to take your hands off the keyboard if say you had to adjust your shirt." That was the context. Mobas are definitely the closest comparison, but looking at it in the intended light, mobas have tons of downtime. For example running back to base, or running from base after tp, deaths, downtime at points of the laning phase which forms a considerable part of the game (say you kill your opponent in lane and you're a farming hero - your only job is to last hit creeps and buy items occasionally on courier until they return to lane, you would barely suffer to take a sip of water in between creep waves or w/e sometimes). While in rts and starcraft, outside of the first minute 100% of your apm ability is required for maximum performance. You will do measurably worse if you stop playing for 10 seconds, while this is not the case if well timed in a moba. For the record I'm mainly a moba player, so not biased towards starcraft.
@@nitroyetevn And then racing? You can't take your hands off the wheel. You have to actively steer. Once Artosis mentioned it, Tasteless moved the goal posts. Oh, you have to be pressing multiple buttons.
No, he would never throw the match it's way too risky, you want to get out of the group first you don't want to risk getting eliminated in the final match. Maru simply got ouplayed and lost.
@@scarredableTo me it does make sense to avoid Trap if you are Maru. Because its going to be a TvP, Maru has practiced alot of that, which should be against Trap who are his teammate. So its kinda obvious they both knew exactly what kind of build they are going to use against each other, and making it quite pointless.
@@Sol-gz4pp Well, he got scared by Ragnarok in that first game, but still beating him. And I think Maru is confident he would beat him again with his TvZ. If its Zest, then even better because Maru 8-1 Zest the last time they met. And I am not saying that Maru trying to lose on purpose, he just not doing much trying to win against Innovation. No proxy racks, no early 2 base push, just basic 3-base macro in both games. Thats just not how Maru would play normally, look like hes just going through the motion against a COM.
@@tigera6 Even if he was confident he would never give up the chance to go first, it would simply be stupid to no try your hardest to win the winners match and be done with the group, no progamer at this level would ever do that and risk getting eliminated in the final match, it's stupid. He was clearly trying and trying has nothing to do with that, you can play standard macro games and try it's only a bo3, he also didnt proxy against ragnarok that doesnt mean he was not trying. If you look at the games it was obvious he was trying, trying to do as much damage as he could with the hellions, trying to micro as hard as possible against the bcs, he just go outplayed in both games. The first game he got surprised by innovation tanks/vikings attack on his base and lost control over the game, the second game he got really suprised by innovation's build, clearly tried to defend his hardest but still got killed by the bcs/hellions.
