@BaftaGuru - noticed the David Lean Lecture video for Woody Allen talking to Mark Kermode has disappeared. Is that to resynchronise the sound + images?
Peter Bogdanovich once made a comment that when Orson Welles was given a chance to talk about Films- not just his own- Welles would light up on a subject he felt passionately about. Martin Scorsese's passion for films shines so bright you can see it a block away. I highly recommend his "Personal Journey through American Film"-made for a British network. But this podcast has him really talking of the nuts-and-bolts of film technique, specifically editing- of his own films. Fabulous!
To have something all-encompassing... The stylizations, forms of a genre film, mixed in with the unpredictable energy of everyday life unfolding on the street outside your home, wherever that may be. Thank you for the ideas.
