- You might have received a mildly alarming notification in your inbox lately letting you know that your loans are moving away from the MOHELA website. Some borrowers are actually keeping MOHELA as their servicer but getting a new web portal login. Other borrowers are losing MOHELA entirely.

I'm sooo sick of these transitions. Went from loans directly from the fed, to Nelnet, to Moehla, now back to the fed. My 3 years of PSLF payments doesn't seem to be accounted for yet in this new system, and I am NOT starting over. The incompetence of this whole student loan racket is insane.

Honestly not sure when I am do for IDR renewal since all the changes. May was 120 payments for me, but with the transition there is now the pause. Fingers crossed all goes smooth.
This is like my 6th student loan provider! Getting ridiculous.
Of course all this would happen when I only got 12 more months of payments. I've been on PSLF since 2013. MOHELA already screwed me out of three payments.
It says I'm going from Mohela to Aidvantage... Is that not something you saw otherwise?
Then got switched back here once I consolidated.😢
The added an additional $65,000 of "payable interest" when it transitioned over - WHAAAAAT????
And I thought them tacking on $1416.26 was terrible. I am writing letters, but what we need to do is sue them, but most of us cannot afford to, and the big four know that. I had Nelnet and no problems. Transferred to Mohela and it all went to SH--!
If my account didn't transfer yet and my autopay didn't automatically come out- does anyone know what I should do? Just wait until my account transfers?
My wife is getting transferred from mohela to Ed financial. It was supposed to be done May 28th it's now June 13th and it still hasnt finalized her transfer. She's worried about losing a month of pslf credit because she can't make a payment. Any advice?

I got a notice last summer from my direct loan saying my loans were being consolidated and my balance was now 0.00. Then I got a notice from Mohela saying they’re my new loan service provider and that my new interest rate was NINE PERCENT 😵💫 (the balance was not 0.00)! JUST got a notice from Mohela saying my loans had been forgiven - I don’t know what to think but I have the letter saying they’re forgiven so… 🥴🤷♀️😵💫

they just emailed me that my new payment is going to be auto-billed and it's 500% of what it was last month
Mine's moving to Mohela. I'm beyond caring anymore really. My SL started at about 26k in 1987, went through divorce etc and now my balance is at just under $340,000. Racking up around 2700 a month! I'm retired, on Soc Sec and there's no way I'll ever be able to do anything with that. I just keep doing my IDR, waiting to die. If a company did this crap, they get Feds on their butts for usury big time!
My loans have been in transfer the last 6 months. I'm so sick of this They won't answer emails or anything. I started filling complaints.
They bull and sell buy and sell. Does that mean your really just giving them free money at this point because they’ve already been paid for your loans. Isn’t that how it works??
My loan is being moved from Navient to Mohela and I am on the IBR with a lot of interest not capitalized. Is there a chance Mohela will screw it up by capitalizing interest or screwing up my IBR?
PSFL loans forgiven, I am no longer with MOHELA?
Or those PSFL forgiven also transferred to student aid?
Or we are no longer with any agency?
I'm going through double consolidation and completed the first consolidation (currently at aidvantage and edfinancial). My final consolidation choices are mohela, edfinancial, and aidvantage. From your guides I would need to go to Mohela but with the current changes with aidvantage does that change how the double consolidation is processed? I was hoping to see nelnet in the options but it's not in there, maybe because that was my original servicer before I started the process? Thanks!
What will happen with accounts that have had the loans forgiven? Are those accounts being transferred, too?

My loans were moved from Mohela to ED Financial. I was also in the situation where Mohela made me recertify my income prematurely, bumping my payments up. My payments were supposed to be adjusted back down by Mohela, andrecertification pushed to March 2025, and I was placed on administrative forbearance in the meantime. But now that I have transitioned to ED Financial, all that is going out the window, admin forbearance is ending, payments won't be adjusted back. Mohela didn't fix their mistake and ED Financial is going to honor their mistake instead of correcting it.
They aren't even counting my PLSF
As of now no PSLF payments will be count because of the transfer. You will see all your payments after July 30. You people don’t read and be emotional with tantrum. Most of you are dumb.
Currently with Mohela for PSLF but soon will be eligible for TDD loan forgiveness. So will my loans transfer to Nelnet?

What if I got a loan in 1989 for $700 and it's now over $22000 do to interest it slipped through the cracks and I've never really paid on this I really feel I shouldn't pay it back since it's way over 30 years old
