So helpful for me as I haven’t studied very much colour theory. It will be very useful for me in setting up my palette based on the Stephen Quiller wheel.
This video has been a delight, watching it on and off all day as I swatch all my colors (various brands) onto watercolor squares then arrange them “just so” as I fiddle with where to put what. I’ve got my palette on its way-should be early next week! “Working alongside you” today has been fun. I’ve subscribed to your channel and will be checking out your other videos for sure! Thanks for the time you spent sharing this!
Oh my goodness! I’ve been trying to set up this very same porcelain pallet for weeks. I just had to walk out of my studio after an entire week of looking up the ever changing pigments in my horde of tubes! I get the constant demands on the paint manufacturers but just as you figure things out the change them!
Oh so true! And so many options within the same colour name. I gave up sticking to his colours but still love the palette for the space and round set up. Best palette I’ve ever used!
Now I need the book the pallet and of course holbein watercolor paints! May I ask if they are still your favorite paints? It's funny because I ooh and awe over the same colors as you do!!☺I hope you made a second part to the filling of your wonderful pallet, do you still use this method? I am on the late freight! 😆👍👍👋😊
Thanks so much for commenting Jackie and making me laugh. I still love Holbein but since Schmincke released their range of granulating pigments, I’m falling in love with them. I also love Daniel Smith. Thanks also for asking about the Quiller palette video- it’s on my to-do list
Thank you for this video. Can you please clarify if the bottom of the wells are slanted/sloped? I would like to put a blob of paint on the shallow end, and spray with some water to create a light pool in the deep end.. Thanks!
Hi Sidekick, thanks for asking. No, not really, they aren’t sloped but they are a good size so that you could make a puddle in them if you wanted. Hope that helped
How in the world did you get the hot glue to form walls? Did you start at the top edge and work down? Mine was just a hot puddle in the bottom of the well 😢. BTW, this video is the more helpful then any of the multitude of Quiller setup videos on UA-cam. I’m so glad I found your channel.
Thanks for asking Shelley. I continued to set up the palette but didn’t record it. I use the palette all the time now in my painting videos like this one ua-cam.com/video/uLq8ET8CYOc/v-deo.html

Thanks Helen, you’re going to love it. It is so worth it!
Love to see what colours you ended up. I’ve just bought a meeden colour wheel pallet.
Thanks for asking Christine, here’s the updated palette ua-cam.com/video/-nJ20UFvbvs/v-deo.htmlsi=bfiglDjJ4ubcSBkk
Wow! Fascinating! Thanks for sharing this information. I really enjoyed this little lesson on colour mixing.
Thanks Tracey, I’m so glad you liked it x

Looking forward to seeing you set up the rest of your palette .
Thanks for commenting Carol, I needed a few extra tubes to do that and have begun painting without the extra tubes. One day I’ll get them🙃
I have several of his books and he has change his color selection as well!
That’s interesting. I’ve only got Color Choices. Are the other books worth it?
I also use ceramic palate and love it.
They are so smooth and easy to use. Thanks for commenting Parth
I love my Stephen Quiller palette! I find that I keep adding more dots of colors in corners and anywhere I can fit them and it isn’t even an issue!
Hi Ashley, I love mine too, it’s design is wonderful
Thanks Marion. Very helpful.
Thanks Eileen, I appreciate it

Hi Honey Babies, so glad you found it helpful, that is great! (Not sure about the hot glue - wish I could help.)
Very informative
Thanks Tusha.
I would love to see your finished product after completing your quiller palette. Have you posted it? I am unable to locate it. Thank you.

I'd love to see the whole palette colour list you used please ;)
You can see the whole list on Quillers website shop.quillergallery.com/Standard-Size-Wheel.html
I love mine but its so huge, I hardly have room on my desk....
So true Renee, it’s huge and so solid too.
Great palette, however there is a need for a decent cover , cheap plastic one is cheap
Yep, agree.
