@ebifisher I support you ebi and good for you defending yourself. Your videos are awesome. You share some patterns and techniques. A steelhead on the fly? Amazing achievement and patience. Block haters. A lot of racist tones so you should absolutely start blocking people. It is their loss. I support you 100%. Using a net is not a regulation. Anyone so sensitive about the health of fish should NEVER kill one. Otherwise they are just hypocrites who should be ignored and instantly blocked. Thanks again for your awesome videos!
@@ebifisher You're welcome. Yes the internet can be nasty! Trust me when I say, you are extremely generous with your content. Showing excellent fly patterns. I really appreciate your recent video from the Boxing Day derby. Amazing! I also very much appreciate your videos showing river conditions. Those really help. It's a long drive out there for a lot of us. I've been fishing for a long, long time. You are clearly a master fly fisherman. I don't have quite as much patience on rivers as you do. Steelhead on the fly? That is a real statement. Thanks for all your content. Please continue!
Awesome fish. You should consider insta blocking people from your videos. Clearly some elitist nonsense in the comment section. I hope you persist with your videos. I'm serious. You should start blocking people from watching your videos. People are wanting to create friction on the waters. Holier than thou. The regs don't say you have to use a net. If people are so elitist about treating every fish as it was their child, then their freezer should never see a fish. If people care so much about each and every fish then they should be advocating no killing of fish. They should be advocating the shut down of rivers. That way, no fish will be harmed by non net fisherman.
Come on man. Treat the fish properly until you can identify if it’s a wild fish or a hatchery fish. My first steelhead was a 16 pound wild buck. It was hard to release it because it was a beautiful fish. Proper fish etiquette must be followed all the time. No excuses. I’m happy that it turned out to be a hatchery fish but you need to be more careful with the handling of the fish. Great catch just be more respectful of the fishery.
@@ebifisher no you weren’t careful with the fish. With a steelhead you keep its head in the water until you determine if it’s a hatchery fish or not. You left the fish lying on the rocks. Fish can’t breathe air. I am happy you caught a beautiful steelhead for the first time. Just be more careful.
Congrats on the catch. What is the reason why you tend to remove footage of the actual hookset in all your vids? I mean you took the time to make a video of the fly being created, but you dont show the fish take which is a key part of educational content. That would showcase which part of the drift the fish strike occurs. Just my two cent, but great catch nonetheless.
@hunterrockburn9486 Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. The reality there's no way to know, but if you can floss a steelhead when there are so few around, then congrats on that as well. More believable to floss fish when there's a ton of them in a run. Less believable to floss fish when there's probably < 3 fish in any given run. Certainly gotta give credit where credits due.
Bro I was the guy in the run with you when you caught that bad boy. Congrats and hope to see you out there again soon. 🎉🎉🎉

Because it’s flossed. He knows that swinging that fly on his sink tip in that kind of water. Spey fisherman like him are just self glorified flossers

Use your net next time until you can identify if it's wild or not and do not drag it on the rocks.
Nice fish. 🤙🏾
Part of the douche class?
Yes you are right, thank you for the advice.
Perfect
Nice fish. Cool brand of beer. You have a thick accent. Where you from?
