- A candid interview by SCV Tennessee Division Commander Mike Beck with H.K. Edgerton regarding the True South and a historical perspective of how life truly was in the Southland as opposed to the lies and propaganda we have been fed for generations.
This man came to my school and stood by himself outside the gate with his suit and flag when they banned the flag from school property. He won!! Great strong man!
I'm a very close descendant of Robert E. LEE and I learned a lot of what this magnificent Gentleman is saying as a young boy. I would sit and listen to my father and grandfather talk about a lot of this same information with the older black gentlemen that my family was raised around. I have tried to share the things I have learned with others and of course they don't believe it or want to here it.
I'm a mexican immigrant who is fascinated by the american civil war. I would love to sit down and talk, for a long time, with Mr Edgerton.
Sir, I am from Massachusetts, and may I say that you are truly an inspiration. Thank you for telling the REAL history that all these children need to learn. I had an ancestor fight alongside P.T.G. Beauregard. All these offended kids need to put aside their own hate and open their eyes. May God Bless and Keep you and your family for all the years to come. You are a stone wall that General Jackson would give a salute. A TRUE American, Patriot, good Christian, and defender of Southern pride and heritage. Thank you Sir.

H.K. Edgerton, always inspiring. I've been showing his videos to my white hunting/fishing buddies and they're blown away. It's going to be a sad day when this Southern Patriot passes. I wish the liberals would pack up and leave Dixie alone. I love the South and it's the liberals that keep re-writing history that keep us, blacks and whites from coming together. Here's a social experiment for young blacks, go to a sporting goods store and find the most country looking white boy you can find, and ask him to help you pick out fishing lures or the best hunting equipment, in his opinion. You'll damn near make a friend for life. Southern whites and blacks don't have problems until the liberals show up and start race baiting, that and they keep inner city blacks ignorant by dumbing down the school curriculum. As a black southerner and veteran, I will say this, a country divided cannot stand. They're trying to steal our freedom again, and they're manipulating blacks under the guise of social equality. It's communism folks. I'm a Christian first, God our Father, is always first, next an American, then a Black Southerner. If we don't stand together, everything that's great about our Nation will be gone. God Bless America. Keep fighting the good fight H.K.

My great grandfather died in Nashville in the civil war he buried in Tennessee. My grandmother's cousin came home to find he farm looted and everything gone, that didn't stop him he gathered men and started to rebuild their community.

This is needed to be heard today now more than ever. I’m going to share this video. What struck me is, and I’ve known the story of the Black Eyed Peas, that after Sherman burned the south to the ground and the north just wrecked the south’s economy after the war, it was black and whites, former slave and owners who together put the south back together. I had never thought of that until he talked about it at the end of the video. Good thought provoking stuff.
I’m from the west and ignorant to much of what really happened in the South, only knowing what was taught to me in school(and reinforced in media). I really appreciate Mr. Edgerton for the education. God bless all who read this. May the light of Truth guide you.

My grand dad's grandad was Joseph Howard Powell. He was in Company H, 5 th Alabama Cavalry. I am proud of his service for the South and I am proud of my southern heritage.

An ancestor of mine fought with the 1st Minnesota Volunteers and fought against an Alabama company I don't know if it was that company but I hate that they might have fought each other. I salute my ancestor and yours too.

He is a blessing to the preservation of factual history. He walks the roads of our town with the flag, I took a walk with him when I was young and it changed my life, I learned so much.
Mr Edgerton I found this beyond inspiring! Thank you so much for your eloquent true description. I am the 5th generation of my family born on this red dirt here in Georgia. I will retell my Great Grandmothers stories of how it truly was us against the brutal union soldiers who befell us like locust. Burned down every structure except the few they made their headquarters. The federal government soldiers came through burning families inside their homes, raped the women as all southern men were at this point dead injured or off fighting to prevent the very fate that befell us all. Our children were taken to be raised by northern troops. They took all valuables all livestock and all crops.
So at this point they have raped us burned our neighbors alive in their homes taken our most precious heirlooms passed down from generations, taken our livestock, taken all crops and canned foods even stole away our babies.
Most of our southern men were killed and the few who werent came home with amputations, severe infections, starving hobbling using a stick to walk home on 1 leg. Only to find home was gone with the wind.
Then came the vultures-the carpet baggers against whom mostly women with no weapons hadnt a chance.
The feds took everything from us. They did not pay 1cent to rebuild the homes and businesses and hospitals they destroyed.
They did not provide any humanitarian aid. Just left us here defenseless to starve to death if we didnt freeze to death or get brutalized by despicable slimy creatures who slithered in in droves.
Do you still trust the federal government?
The blue bellies were a brutal tyrant that practiced "total war" on the elderly, women and children.
It is time for us to rise again and fight these tyrants, I will give my life for freedom!!

The fact is that the union didn't fight to end slavery, but the confederates fought to keep it, so what was the point of the effort? The myth of servile insurrection. I'm not liberal or conservative, and I'm not a fence sitter because ik what I believe in. I would love to have a conversation with you (in a respectful manner of course)

As a Kentuckian I am totally proud that the Confederate Battle Flag has a star representing and claiming Kentucky . God Bless The South. Let us all get the true history of the Civil War told . Abe Lincoln was born in Kentucky but he didn't represent us. Jeff Davis was born here and he I am proud of , a true Kentuckian but first and foremost a Southerner.

It’s so hard to educate at home when kids are taught to disregard the right and follow the trends blindly. We’re taught not to have pride in our flag and our heritage.Yes things happened to African Americans that were bad and out of hate but we have progressed but not in a good way. The problem is the flag got into the hands of the wrong people that's why it is viewed as racist. In reality it is a flag that should be used to represent and respect the ones who had to fight for the south without a choice. Not everyone wanted to fight. They didn't have a choice. So I have my flag out of respect to them. A true southerner loves everyone no matter the shade of skin. We come from all walks of life. All to love one another.

Col. Most people don’t realize that the majority of all southerners were poor and we grew up together. As a young child I was looking at a photo album and I asked my Popa, Why are you the only white man on the softball team? That’s when I got my first lesson in segregation He told me he was a drill Sargent for 3 years and he played alongside his troops. My Popa retired as a Captain and began running a business but he hired the first three black people to ever work for this company. I felt like we were making a few strides towards a better tomorrow. We can’t erase our past to have a better future!

I am a Ga. born confederate and only recently come across this video. I've been searching for a long time for truth that contradicts the main stream teachings. I love the CSA, as well as the USA. I have family on both sides of the spectrum. (NY & GA.) I have friends of many colors, many walks of life. One should judge a person from their actions not the color of skin, back ground, or region of country that person comes from.
Im not a military man, not a southern man and I'm not black, but if i saw this man marching with that flag I'd march with him until he could not and then carry him on my back, I'd always carry the truth on my back and in my heart, im a proud patriot and I love the truth and HK speaks it and lives it God bless him.

if only I studied this or did a project of a black confederate hero in middle school because in California they dint Evan know or take about this truth of the south in socal studies from elementary to highschool. I'm a southerner, it's where I was born an raised so my sensibilities are tied to that part of our great nation. I served my country so that people can have the right to speak freely, live freely and fly the confederate flag if they want to. This flag is a part of our history, we shouldn't destroy any part of our history or give one section of our history a larger voice than the other. We live in an era where Blacks and Whites are used to being told what to think, what to say, how to act, no one does research into our history, they just listen to present voices of authority. These voices have made Abraham Lincoln a hero when he wasn't and made a good man like Bedford Forest a villain. It is true when they say history is written by the victor.

We don't teach history anymore. He is right about dumbing down in education. I was a history teacher back in the late 60's. I taught it in a fair but full fashion.

This is why I'm moving to the South. One of the few, and most ironic, goods that resulted from the war is that we who wish to escape the North don't need a passport to do it.
