I recently got started jump roping as my main workout, 30 minute timer and I just keep going even if I trip over dozens of times, over the course a few weeks my coordination with the rope has improved and now I’ve started incorporating Criss cross, and slowly practicing the technique and throughout the normal jumping doing a Criss cross and slowly I’ve been getting better and better, I’m still not able to keep going without tripping but the more you practice the best you can become, next I’m gonna try double unders which I know will be a hassle

Did it after 20 minuets I got the rope and without any tutorial...just saw you doing it in one of your videos, practiced a bit and succeeded. Its like I was born with the rope everything’s coming so natural and easy

Thanks. good tutorial worth all the ads. A beginner here from the Phils. wanting to jump rope since I can't do my walking/jogging outside due to restrictions due to covid19. Kudos to the jumprope professionals like you who share their knowledge how to jumprope. You bet, its better than jogging since you learn things while exercising doing the jumprope. And oh it's not that easy particularly if you're not an athletic guy at 60years old like me :). It's fun btw with all those calves pain and breath-catching moments ! well as they said no pain no glory ! Go old man just do it ! :)

Worked for me I actually learnt criss cross within 2 minutes after watching the video. Major mistake we do is we do not cross our hand property. I mean when we cross our hands, they should be far enough the way they are when we are skipping normally. When our hands are not far enough, we fail. If we place our hands far enough after crossing, we normally get it done.
Wazzzzuuuuppp Playaazzzzz I recently bought the ZDF-set Crossrope, absolutely love it! But I want to buy a rope that's just for learning tricks, as we all dream being that one ultimate NINJAAAH! Should I go for Crossrope Quick Handles or should I go for the Crossrope Bolt-set? I mostly train at the gym.
When I was learning it I always tried to cross my arms way too early - just as the rope came above my head. Eventually I realised you only really need to focus on crossing your arms when you're about to jump over the rope. I like to think of it as cross arms and slam rope into ground and jump.
Finally got it. My problem was that I wasn’t moving my arms towards the sides of my hips as much as I thought; I was doing some short version of the “pistol grabbing” that made the rope just cross around my leg instead. Don’t close your eyes when you try this and actually watch how little/far you’re moving towards your sides

Awesome tutorial. I noticed that your dominant hand goes beneath your left hand when you make that figure eight, similar to the side swipe tutorial. I guess this is where I mess up when I try to do Criss Cross. It isn't perfect but will keep practicing!
Got a new thicker rope today, makes the cross and running cross so much easier. I was using a thinner rope, kind more like a speed rope and half the time I was whipping my back when I got it wrong. I now look like I have a few moves.

You guys are awesome for posting these tutorials. I've just started practicing these, and man I suck...lol. The rope is losing it's shape and pretty much just ending up draped on my head. It's like the rope loses momentum when I cross my hands, but I think it's due to me not folding my wrists over like you do. But I know it's gonna come with practice and dedication.

Today I finally did my first successful Criss cross skip and then after some time I did continuous 20-30 Criss cross skips .
I just cranked out 10 of these in a row. Thinking of holstering guns really helped. Thanks

I perfected my skipping and believe me I watched this vidoe for 10 seconds and I could do this, practice is key!

I just achieved doing this the other day and I recorded myself. So I came here to see if others look like wild goats while doing this too...
I am by no means an expert but my problem with doing this was I was over exaggerating the figure eights, I got it down when I made them more subtle 🙏🏽

I have a light rump rope. And i can't do criss cross with it. Should I try with a heavy one?
