- We went to the Newcastle Food Festival at Exhibition Park to check out what they had to offer for their first year. We had a look around the artisan stalls as well as all the streetfood and bars. There was live music and live cooking demos as well as lots of fun and entertainment for the whole family.
We tried asian food, gyozas, satay, scotch eggs, cookie dough pies, birria, tacos and much more!

Ooof We like the sounds of those Scotch eggs! Espesh the haggis one.
Would love to try the sausage rolls too.
Everything looks so good to be fair. We could spend a small fortune there.
🖤
A small fortune most definitely! 😂
Caroline I’m with you on Coffee Cheese and Gins 👍…..savoury always wins with me ! Great selection there at the food festival !! Did Caroline end up a bit tipsy 🥴 😀🤗
Savoury all the way! Great selection but could be better. Not at all xx
You need to try Piggy Blinders who Cassies Kitchen who make the scotch eggs have a collaboration with, absolutely sensational food and do decent but smaller street food markets like Crook and Bishop Auckland
I've just had a look at their Instagram. It's now on the list!! Thank you for that recommendation
My boyfriend and i went to the 'festival' this year. It was incredibly disappointing. It was our first and last year going.
Not a lot to do, not q great choice of food & it was crazily expensive. Im glad i didnt book tickets for all three days.
The field was trashed on the first day too (Hardly their fault with how wet its been).
We thought it was pretty good for it's first year and should only get better once they use more local vendors instead of just the yorkshire transplants (it was originally in leeds).
Totally agree on the expense
Not enough sausage…….
Sausage man!
And that was quite the sausage
