Nice video but you don’t need to remove as many parts as you did to get to the starter. Thanks for sharing.

I agree. Good video, but he removed twice as much stuff as most of the other videos here. But he does show parts and part # and better detail than other videos. Great job regardless 👍

All I did was remove the manifold bolts and disconnect the air intake hose to the throttle and a few hoses and connectors, just enough to lift the exhaust manifold up a little bit and move to the right side. From there I have room to replace the starter. It was done in 1-2 hours using 3/8 ratchet with 10mm, 12mm , 14mm , and 17mm sockets. I wouldn’t do it from the bottom.

Did you also have to remove the 12mm bolt at the bottom holding the intake bracket (like he shows at 6:40)?

@@bosun120 I don't think so.. It was very simple.. The goal is try to remove as little as much as you can. I did it from the top.

@@Scott-xq2dm At 5:43, Miguel demonstrates that the intake manifold won't move enough to swing upward. I think that's why he removed the bottom 12mm bracket bolt.

We tried to jump start the Element and then charge then boost the battery with a charger and it wouldn’t start. The mechanic replaced the starter from the top and the Element still won’t start. The starter is brand new and the mechanic said it cranks real good but won’t start. I replaced the Genuine Honda 35130-SAA-J51 Steering Switch before the Element was towed to the mechanic. The battery is only six months old and tested and is good. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Wish we lived near you because you really know Elements. Thanks!
Update: The mechanic erased some information on the Element and it started right up.
    Cheers!

Miguel, that was a great video. As u know I just had my starter replaced. U told me they should replace the two gasket. I hv to chk to see if they did replace it? It would help if u show in the video, how u put on the gadgets. & What the price for them. 🙏🏽And what parts number the trotle gasket? In case I hv to put the gaskets in myself. 😉
Thx u again for ur hard work posting the video up for us here. 👍🏾🙏🏽
