I recently found your channel and I’m in love! I’m in law school right now and your videos are a nice way for me to destress and wind down. Thank you! ❤
Lol I love that you clarified you love the HP story not the author cause same haha. Cozy crafts are the best during this cozy season! Also I love the hair!! and omg I haven’t checked patreon in a while but now I wanna go watch that video! 💇🏻♀️
I have to make that point very clear! 😉 I want folks to know that this space is a safe space. I don’t support discrimination of any form here. And thank you, I am feeling like a new woman with this new chop! 💃🏻
yess!! cozy crafts! the upcycled tuna can idea was my favorite one!! and ive been wanting one of those bookshelf inserts, i just realized i could make myself out of a cereal box!?
There’s just so much you can do with food packaging that I didn’t think about before! Oooo a bookshelf nook with a cereal box sounds like such a good idea! Maybe we can both make one for a future cozy crafting night?
your hair looks beautiful 🖤 thank you for the book recommendations, I added The Invocations, Never Whistle at Night and A Deadly Education to my tbr 🕸️☕️ I also have „The Winter Spirits: Ghostly Tales for Frosty Nights“ and „Nocturne“ on my tbr for a moody, dark and cozy November and winter 🕸️
Thank you, Julia! I feel like a new woman with the new chop! ✂️ oooo your recs sound like a good time! Will definitely have to check them out! I’m slowly embracing the upcoming winter season as much as I’m still clinging on to my fall mindset lol 🍂❄️
Hearing you talk about cutting your hair feels like I was meant to see this. I’m going to be cutting mine soon, I always have it long, and I’m feeling very emotional about it. Due to some health problems cutting it short is the best thing to do right now, but I feel like I’m losing a part of myself. I don’t mean to sound like a downer, this was another beautiful video! Always so peaceful!
I personally think cutting my hair was a very emotional experience and truly also felt a part of me was gone. But I stayed rooted that the part that was gone or leaving was something necessary that served its time with me and needed to be let go of already 🫶🏼 I miss my long hair but I am also very much loving the freedom that I feel, that my short hair gives me! ☺️
I am slowly making my way through Never Whistle at Night. I'm reading one or two stories at a time when I don't have the energy to read for very long. I got it for free for participating in my library's summer reading program. I've started listening to The Broken Girls by Simone St James which is a mystery with two time lines at a boarding school and also a creepy ghost. It also takes place in November, so it's perfect for this time of year. I've never heard of The Bird and the Sword but it sounds interesting. I've read other books by Naomi Novik and loved them and I do need to read A Deadly Education. I can't wait to see what you think of it. Edited to add: I also just finished A Sorceress Comes to Call. I've read 4 books by T Kingfisher this year and need to work my way through her backlist.
I just put a hold on A Deadly Education through my Libby account. Can’t wait to get into that one. I’ll definitely be going over some highlights soon of some of my recent book reads. Broken Girls sounds amazing! I love a boarding school setting! I am also hoping to get more through T. Kingfishers texts. What did you think about A Sorceress Comes to Call? Overall I enjoyed it, truly am a fan of T. Kingfisher’s writing. They make the most mundane scenarios sound eerie and unsettling. I’ve never read the fairytale this story is based on, so I’m unsure how accurate it maybe be to the original story.
Your craft recommendations all look super cute. How can I move away from things must have a purpose around me and appreciate art like the milk carton? 😔
I think it’s all about perspective. If we allow ourselves to just enjoy the now and give into the simplest of actions, then maybe we will be able to experience how that moment feels and know that it feels… great. 🫶🏼 and maybe then, we will be prone to allowing ourselves to enjoy these moments more often. ❤️
