I have a kiddo about to graduate COLLEGE and enter law school. I have one entering hs. Its hard letting them go however they are turning into adults and that's amazing. I was sad when he left home but so excited to see him shape his future. Hang in there momma, trust me, their next phase is amazing

I have had 2 graduate and honestly it never gets easier. It does pass in time. The even harder part is when they move out on their own. But you will get through it. I prayed a lot! God always helps you through. The fun parts of them graduating and moving on to adult hood is watching them make good decisions and building their life in so many amazing ways. My oldest Dillan has moved back to henefer and actually lives in your dads old apartments. He works at the cement plant now. Crazy to think he is 22 and an adult with an amazing future ahead of him and a good head on his shoulder. My daughter Hannah who is 19 now and is in cosmetology school and working two pt jobs. I am completely amazed by them both. They are taking on the world even better than I did. It eventually gets easier. The kids always come back home and will always need you! I am their first call when something exciting happens and even when they are having a rough day. The mothering never stops. The home is always going to be their safe place to land and comfort zone. You will get through this! I appreciate every single one of your videos. You always seem to put out a new video right when I need the motivation the most! Nothing better than a spotless home and an amazing meal your family raves about. You are amazing and thank you for all the support and keeping me in my roots back home. It’s very heart warming and calming to see a familiar face and hear a familiar voice. So many great memories! Lots of love and prayed sent your way while you navigate through a graduate and life changes.. ❤️ Mindy

What helped me was accepting it. I'm not the only one feeling sad with emotions. I have two boys that graduated and moved out, that's when reality hit me, I got what's called "empty nest syndrome" and it's hard, I went into a depression, I spent the last 19 yrs with my boys then it's only me and my husband... that was hard, very hard. But Mom to Mom you got this❤❤

Hello! Yes, it is the hardest thing ever....my daughter graduated 2019..she goes to University of Arkansas which isn’t far....but she is still gone. It is definitely different. It’s being happy and proud of them but secretly wanting them to be in the home again. They don’t call it empty nest for nothing. The dynamics shift a bit between the second oldest taking the oldest role. I have 3 in total. BUT...when she comes and visits it is like she NEVER left and I just cherish every moment. I’m the mom that doesn’t mind doing her laundry. I love it all! 👍🙌

Hello. I'm Cherry, (pronounced Sherry) from NY. New to your channel, I feel it was fate I stumbled on your page. My first, second and third born is graduating this month. My first born will be going into HS, my second 1st grade and my third will be going to kindergarten. I still have one more, whose 3yrs to hold onto yet lol. But yes I absolutely agree, no one EVER tells you how hard it is when these milestones approaches our kids lives. Especially with all the horrors going in now a days. What helped me coupe a little was just talking to my son. I didn't have a sit down kind of discussion, he was helping me tidy up the kitchen while i was hanging out laundry to air dry, I just started talking to him. I assured him he can always come to me should he need to talk about anything and I told him I understand there will be points in your life he might not want to come to me and thats ok. I wanted him to understand, know, and made aware that he has a support system. There are family memebers he can always come to for help with school and or advice. I felt better knowing that I made my son aware that no matter what stage he reaches in life, he is never at a lost for support on ANYTHING. My suggestion is just have a conversation with your son. Doesn't havebto be a sit down but just talk with him. Talking to my son and seeing the relief in his eyes is all I needed. I'm still sad but relieved at the same time, I know in my heart he is assured and not alone.

Your white bread recipe has quickly become a staple in our household, and I’ve even starting baking and distributing it to our extended family who love it as well!
Like you, my true passion is life is being a Mom. I have a 5 year old son, and twin girls who just turned a year old. My husband and I have been married 7 years. We were both born and raised in a small province on the east coast of Canada (New Brunswick), and that’s currently where we reside.
I love to cook, bake, garden and be with my children. I’ve recently gone back to work full time after a year long maternity leave. My husband and I are both first responders, which means shift work - which also means a hectic lifestyle and schedule. Your easy go to meals have been so helpful in managing dinner times around here. Also, your cinnamon roll recipe is a huge hit at the station with my co workers! Most say they are the best they’ve ever had!! My son graduated 5 years ago and moved out right away and my daughter graduated last year and doing 2 years of college and she said she's never moving out 🙄😁. I think the worst thing is that you don't get to talk to them everyday , I miss our meal time together that's when we all talked about our day.

To be honest boys are a lot harder when they are moving out. They keep a one track mind and want to do it on there own. BUT it is fun going to the next level with them. You can help them set up a dorm room or an apartment. But the seem to like calling Dad a lot more than Mom the first few years. Every once in a while they’ll ask Mom for advice. But the beat thing I ever did was set up a certain time of the week for our call or when they are close Sunday dinner.

Hello again I store mine in buckets like you do . I have bread flour from sams in bulk and oats and parboiled rice . Lots of dry pasta I have containers that have toilet paper I am so scared of running out of TP ! 😂 they go under the bed in the guest room . How do you like the mop ??
That’s so smart! You never know what is going to happen in the future or if we’ll have storms or disasters and we can’t get to the store… or if we’ll have empty shelves. We ran out of TP last year when there was the shortage, it was crazy! We have food storage too! Keep it up!! Yes!! I love my mop! It saves my back and it does a really good job. It’s a little pricy ($99) but I’ve had mine for 3 years and use it almost everyday and haven’t had any problems with it. 😊
Who makes the mop ? That’s not a bad price . We didn’t run out of TP last year because of my TP hoarding lol is what my hubby calls it but I am diabetic and with 4 girls in the house before we went through so much of it . We had the unexpected snow storm here in Texas last February and we were literally stuck at home for 3 days . My food storage helped us and my daughter that lives close by so much so for sure with unexpected emergencies is why I do it and I hate being at the grocery store every week.

I had brillo pads but those were stolen out of my locked rented bedroom. So, I stopped buying them to clean. Also, I am absolutely disgusted yet again, because money is used as a weapon to FORCE me to live in another dysfunctional situation !
I am a clean and tidy individual, and I cannot deal with his any longer !
On another note, no offense, maybe your son should assist you with cleaning up the mess from his party. Personally, I think that may reap all sorts of benefits down the road in the future, when he will live on his own.

Does the sos pad scratch the stainless steel stove top?
I have never had a problem with it scratching. Make sure it’s really wet when using it and test it on the corner to see if it will scratch the surface. It is one of my favorite cleaners to use! 😊

Central Iowa former farm girl. Laundry detergent recipe please
Homemade Laundry Detergent:
3 (5 oz.) bars Fels-Naptha laundry bar
13 cups (110 oz.) box of Oxi clean stain remover
1 (76 oz.) box of Borax
2 cups baking soda
1 (55 oz.) box Washing Soda
OPTIONAL:
1-2 bottles Purex Crystals in wash fragrance (in your scent of choice) I love the Lavender scent
Break down bars of Fels-Naptha. Pieces need to be small enough to dissolve in the washing machine. Grate the bars then put in the food processor or blender until it resembles sand-like texture. Combine all the ingredients in a garbage bag. Tie the bag, then place into another garbage bag and tie tight. Mix, mix, mix!!
Transfer to a bucket or glass 2 gallon jar.
